    Just for clarification FPS was raided and arrested for possessing marijuana/thc oil and because he had a large quantity (for personal use) they hit him with intent to distribute which wasn't what he was doing, however if he didn't take a guilty plea (which he did for 60 days in prison) they were going to also charge him for illegal alterations to his firearms because a dozen or so of his guns were painted or made gold and the serial numbers got obscured (potentially facing something like a 50k fine and 10 years per firearm). And, since he is a felon he can't own firearms anymore though he still does do the PKA or Painkiller podcast.

      Don't know if there were formal accusations against him, but there is/was speculation around the net that Kyle(FPSRussia) was the one who may have murdered his friend and producer Keith in January 2013. Don't think they even to this day know who shot him in his own home.

    I grew up in the 80s, and a friend and I were talking about how students used to have their hunting rifles on a rack in their trucks at school. Then my friend reminded me that they used to have competitive shooting as a class. I thought of that when you mentioned the cop showing his gun at school. How times have changed

    5:00 no, the explosive didnt "just blow up his leg from that distance"
    It yeeted the blade under it at him at below mach speed and clipped the limb off.

      19:00 Glock has a special way of disassembly, in order to remove the slide you need to pull the trigger....
      As for him having the weapon on himself, I think he was part of that SMART (anti-gang and and street violence program) or DARE (anti-drug and gang program) program and well this is why they don't do this crap anymore

    Tannerite is remarkably safe if used solely by itself. The two compounds in tannerite are both very stable compounds. It's almost impossible to detonate unless shot by a gun, because it takes a crazy high pressure to ignite the initial explosion, which ignites the rest of the tannerite the bullet doesn't directly touch. The only thing risking harm is the shockwave which isn't really that strong with any reasonable amount.
    And because it's such a low grade explosive, you can stand relatively close without any major damage happening aside from a nosebleed or a headache and ringing ears. Still not advisable.
    The problem comes when you start sticking tannerite inside of things. Because once you've done that you've essentially created a big grenade. That's when Darwin Awards start happening.

    On the topic of the cop who shot his leg in that presentation, that actually would be a great tactic to ingrain the dangers of not following gun safety. Traumatize them and they won’t want it to happen to them. Can’t remember the exact person’s name, but they were in WW2 and in retirement they worked in a construction/tool class. They had a wooden leg, but the class didn’t know that. So when he’s going over the safe handling of drills, he’d act like he accidentally drilled his leg, pretending he’s in severe pain before going right back into the safety walk. The idea is the initial terror from in-the-moment is to make a heavy and unforgettable impression to remember why you take dangerous things and the safe handling super seriously

    Funny you should say that about sabotaged bullets getting into the hands of civilians because how would we track them... uhhh... there's been some speculation about that over-powered round that almost killed Scott from Kentucky Ballistics.

      @kaotiic_ 7 днів тому +2

      if was found(after the remaining round/s were pulled apart) that somewhere down the line, someone had reloaded some of the rounds with pistol powder mixed in with the rifle powder.

    At 11:10 if you look about 10' in front of the guy, you can see the ricochet bouce off the ground before taking off his ear protection

    Rule one of shooting steel: Angle the target down approximately 10 degrees so most of the force and shrapnel from the bullet is directing into the ground

    Explosives create a shock wave and overpressure. it was most likely metal bits / blades thrown from the device. another example of explosive overpressure is back blast from RPG's or Launchers. overpressure crushes, spalling cuts.

    Ok, just something I noticed: I think you have the titles and thumbnails for this video and the video from 13 days ago (currently titled HE IS SO LUCKY) backwards; this is the one with FPS Russia who is lucky to be alive, and the other is the one with the RPG and the dude not watching where he is going.
    Great reactions regardless, Cheers!

    10:38 It ricocheted of the steel came back ricocheted of the ground and hit his ear pro. 23:00 Thats the nice thing about open bolt weapons because you dont have to worry about that if there's no mag no round.25:23 If you are going to shoot in the air quintuple check that the rounds you are using are blanks.

    i think the cop that shot himself wanted to take apart a gun that gun maybe to show how it works? i know that you need to pull the trigger on glocks to take off the top

    Abput lawnmowers: Where I live few years ago there was a situation where lawnmower hit a wire that went flying and pierced a heart of walking nearby kid (I think he was like 5). Kid was fine after surgery, but damn

    Not a Darwin Award, but I had a time where I was shot with an airsoft gun due to an ND back around 2017.
    So I was shooting in my backward with an airsoft gun my dad got for me. I offered to teach my mom how to use it, and she was scared of guns back then, but I offered to walk her through it, and she accepted.
    I explained the rules of gun safety even though it wasn't a real gun, and handed it to her when she acknowledged them. She turned to talk to a family friend, arms crossed, finger on the trigger, and flagging me. I told her to keep it aimed away from me and to take her finger off the trigger until she was ready to shoot, and she apologized but pulled the trigger. The steel BB hit me at point blank range, bounced off my arm, hit me in the ribs, and dropped out my shirt. She apologized, feeling really bad afterward and I remember telling her "I'm okay, it's fine. At least it wasn't a real gun, otherwise I'd have been dead almost instantly. That's why I told you how to handle it before giving it to you."
    We all laughed about it, but I like to tell this story to serve as a reminder to treat guns with respect and as though yours and/or other lives depend on it, because if that airsoft gun was a real one, my life would have depended on it

    Outside of a relatively close distance (And for commercial binary explosives, a close enough distance that even hillbilly alarms are sounding), the blast wave is not enough to remove a limb or kill you. Worst you're likely to get outside of "Literal children know this is too close" is a degree of TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), because the few points of anxiety meat in your skull is very susceptible to that, so potentially a mild concussion. 99/100, if you hear someone was injured while using binary explosives, it was some degree of shrapnel

    You act even a little too gun-scared, but that's still a way better behaviour to have for an untrained person than treating it like an inert object or a toy.

    The big problem of using a dramatic target, like tannerite... you have to be able to hit it at 50-75 ft. If you cannot hit the target at 50 ft, you should not be using it.

    • @leechowning8728
      @leechowning8728 12 днів тому

      No, the explosive itself only does hearing damage at that range... however, it launched steel fragments of lawnmower at about 10% the speed of sound for the smallest bits... and about 100 ft per second for the big ones.

    • @leechowning8728
      @leechowning8728 12 днів тому

      "could that get into the hands of..." yes, yes it did. Vietnam was before we figured out making generations of people hate us was bad for global peace. We were pretty sure we were going to leave, eventually, and it did not matter much what happened to the people afterwards... see also the millions of mines we left behind.

    • @leechowning8728
      @leechowning8728 12 днів тому

      I assume it was his duty weapon... but I am concerned because he skipped the whole "making sure your weapon is clear"... about 5 seconds back you can hear him rack it, so if he had a mag in it... and he did... it is now a live weapon. I am concerned because, at least before this day, that means he would end of day set his duty weapon down and not clear it. If it was in a gun safe, or something... it was still not cleared. Clearing your gun is a habit you have to get into, but should be as regular as breathing.
