55 for an A?!? Do you mean A*?
A is 54/55? Did you mean A*?
+Brad Wood Well yes, I know that lol... My point was that 54 or 55 out of 60 is very high for an A.
To clarify I didn't mean 54 out of 55 I meant 54 slash 55.
Its A* SMH. She specifically said A* in the last GCSE was at 51/60 in the 2016 grade boundaries
I don't think that's quite true last years P3 exam needed at 36/60 for an A* due to how difficult it was, it's all relative to how everyone else in the country does and obviously if everyone finds it especially difficult they're not going to look for 55/60 for an A*
I did last years p3 exam in my mock and got 45/60. These predictions depend on how hard the actual exam is so they may not be accurate.
Yeah exactly if half of the country done bad they're not going to put the grade boundaries up. She is being a big dramatic lol
Exactly I find p3 easier than p2/p1 hoping to get an A* this year not long left
Last years P3 was one of the easiest exams i ever sat. I got 53/60, and was shocked at how low the boundaries were. It's so weird as everyone in my school found P3 a walk in the park.
Can you please do a video calculating half life? I don't know how to do it, we've never learnt it
Taba Johnson you should check out "freesciencelessons" he has playlists for each science unit so it will be on there, him and primrosekitten have been my life saviours, definitely recommend xx
we legit just learnt half line today its basically halfing the highest y axis then across to x axis and its that
if still confused soz
In edexcel it's about 54/60 for A*
Memes arelife For lasts year's chemistry that was but 48/60 is about the lowest ive seen it
Are you sure??? Did you mean 54/55 for an A*. If not, god help me 😭😭😭
ZaraIsAwesome03 yeah but I think she meant 54 or 55 out of 60 for an A* rather than for an A
I have my real GCSE's this year and i'm so nervous because the exams are so much harder than last years and we're guinea pigs for everyone else. It is so unfair!
I do believe the grade boundaries will go up but the grade boundaries do change depending how everyone has done. In the 2016 Edexcel P1 paper a lot of people found it hard so it turned out you only needed 30/60 to get a B whereas that mark would be a C nowadays.
Can you do more videos on harder questions. Why do the grade boundaries have to be so high, I am deffo going to die....😥😥😥😥😥😥 Literally done all the past papers but I still can't get full marks!!!
Practice recall, meaning make flash cards and constantly read through them whenever ur not revising just to recap quickly, do it 5 mins before going to sleep and dah.
I got 40/60 on Physics unit 3 2016 and my teacher said I got an A*?
Sophie B Last years P3 test was relatively difficult, which meant people did badly and it brought the grade boundaries down, but for C1 and C2 it was 51/60 for an A*
I feel like everything is crumbling beneath me, why do the exam boards hate us?!?!
Whilst it is true that the grade boundaries will be high, it is all relative to the paper and how the students find it. Seeing as we should be the most prepared, most students will be getting high marks and the grade boundaries may be high, but the exam boards can always add difficult questions, and we can never tell how well an entire year group will do. They (the grade boundaries) may be high, but it's not all doom and gloom.
Please could you make a video on c1,c2,c3 and physics and biology model answers?
What will the grade boundaries be for b3 c3 and p3? Because last year apparently you only needed about 40 marks
54/55 for an A?!?
Riiiight, praying for C's due to this vid now great👍🏽
Will this be the same for OCR dual science as well?
Does anyone know about the boundaries for OCR Triple Science?
Hi , I don't think we all say this enough but THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for all the effort you put in not in your videos but your resources too. It is hugely appreciated !!!! 😊😊😊 Your a great help so thank you 😀
I dont think the grade boundaries will change drastically tbh
anything you can do for OCR 21st century chemistry or physics would help. I am so worried about these 2 subjects and need an A/A* at least!
How many marks do you think are needed for a C grade??
For foundation paper is it still half marks for a c?
Can anybody help?! I can not find an AQA exam spec anywhere ! I do triple science and I can't find any . It would also help for other subjects such as maths English RS history but science is the main one. Thank youu
Say if I got 40 marks out of 70 in a biology combined mock what level is that ?
You can't predict grade boundaries, it's like accurately predicting what's going to be on the paper.
Grade boundaries hugely depend on how well people do on that paper.
So does this mean that for the next year (the 1st year of the new specification) technically the grade boundaries would be fairly low?
Joe Chambers pretty much, because we have no past papers and the teachers aren't yet 100% experienced teaching the new specification. So thank gosh for that! X
The B1 AQA grade boundaries are definitely going to be high, I took the exam yesterday and the exam was relatively easy for most students
Do you have any revision materials with just P2/P3 formula practice using maths ?
+Ruby Smith in here ua-cam.com/play/PL7O6CcKg0HaHpVai53gMROTnSKyK04y_d.html
For Foundation as well ???? (OCR)
Is this the same for Foundation aswell?
Hi I'm doing Cambridge coordinated science double award and my exams are this year (may/June 2017) and it is based on the new syllabus. Can you please tell me you prediction on the grade boundaries. Btw I'm doing igcse not gcse
ima be honest it was only chemistry that was at 51 for an A* and it wasnt really easy this year so probably wont change maybe up or down by 1 mark just for chem
Things you don't mention about this year:
-We have coursework (Which is really easy)
-We get the formula sheet for physics whereas the next year you don't
-We get the charges for ions in Chemistry
-Lots and lots of revision resources out there
-Grade boundaries are not 100% likely to be high depending on the paper.
So please, think positively.
Are these for edexcel or CIE?
what mark do you need for a B?
For what subject exactly?
Today's question for Prophet Primrose from Seeded Bread is...
What I'd your favourite font? Seeded Bread rather likes comic sans
Science and Maths by Primrose Kitten I am partial to Windings also though
What dya need for a C/B?
Hello,
I have a few things to be made clear. Is this for gcse or IGCSE, I do Edexcel IGCSE all sciences. In IGCSE the specification are changing in this September 2017(two year course 2017/2019), does that mean that the people who are writing the paper in 2018 with the old spec grade boundaries going to be hard? (2016/2018)
shrri nathan as far as I know she only covers GCSE. And the new spec boundaries are going to be lower.
Wouldn't have got A*s in the three sciences without you! thanks so much☺️ looking forward to the chemistry and biology a level videos, already started your chemistry playlist😅 xx
You put all the hard work in! you deserve all the credit :) I'm so happy you're doing A-Level :)
Science and Maths by Primrose Kitten thank you so much for the reply! ☺️ xx
I got 53 out of 60 for chemistry and it was an A*
haliimah hussaiin exactly I thought 54 ish would be an A* Ive been doing past papers and I'm getting 53.. So does it mean this year you have to get like 58 smoothly to get the A*.. It's impossible to be perfect!!😒
I think it will be 54/60 because that's 90%. Good luck to those sitting for the examination!
Fml in year 10 i got 35/60 and I was like yes im a don getting an A then I do more papers get around the same marks and get like B's and C's
I do past papers for C2 and I get 54/60 which is an A* for those papers. However, does that mean I have to be getting like 58 for a smooth A* this year? Can someone please explain. I'm so confused :/
inubgyjgvboi okihnu i have been doing loads of past papers.. I've literally printed the whole AQA off. Sometimes when I'm reading the question before I finish reading it off I know the answer to it. Can someone please help me. Does it mean I need like 58/60 to get an A* this is ridiculous. Nobody is perfect.. I'm sure I am gonna make mistakes.
Do you think next year the grand boundaries will be relatively low?
yes because usually when a new specification comes out the grade boundaries start low then gradually get higher
Nosheen Zahir how is that unfair when a spec is on it's last legs been running for let's say 4 years you have more past papers and exposure to same type of questions as your real exam. so it's to be expected when the questions just repeat that you have seen it before hence an easier exam. where as in a new spec the style changes that means less exposure so lower grade boundaries to compensate
I swear to God this world likes to bend me over and find me in the alps
I don't have TIME to look at a whole playlist to revise. Please help please I'm gonna die please
To be honest the max they can do for an A* on edexcel is 54 as that's 90% they won't ever exceed that
What would a b be
gurl are you sure its 54 for an A? did you mean for an A*?
everyone here going for A's whilst im chilling on borderline C for science :3 feelsbadman
54 for an A? I don't believe that for a second
Considering how easy the 1's were so far it may be higher than 54
I'm sorry but this video is completely wrong. If the whole country fails the exam then the grade boundaries aren't gonna be 55/60 are they?! But i know what ur saying about the grade boundaries up but that's because everyone else is doing well not because the examiners are pushing the boundaries.
You mean an a* for 54??
i agree im doing double science, its very easy - *btw she said 54/54 out of 60 not 54 out of 50 to get an a*
But i keep on reading questions wrong, that what will probably take my grade down
in doing this in y9 can you believe it
I AM SO SCARED 😭😫
Can't be. The grade boundaries are representative of the country's performance
They have the certain percentage of people for each grade... so if half the country does badly... that grade boundaries won't be 55/60!!!!
I agree. And tbh I'd rather her just to not say because it just lowers people's confidence when they hear that. Good luck with your exams.
Its me!!!
Does this apply for igcse?
Nicholas Sim i was wondering the same thing... i feel like it won't apply to it as much because igcse grade boundaries have always been quite low. they might go up a bit but i doubt they'll be considerably higher.
Nicholas Sim i read a comment where she said this video was specifically talking about AQA
this is really off putting for most of us year 11's saying we need 55 to get an A is not very helpful because it seems overly dramatic and extreme. Perhaps instead of this you could maybe give us exam tips and tricks because that is what will help us actually get the grades you say we need to work hard for.
+rosie ar you mean like these?!?! ua-cam.com/play/PL7O6CcKg0HaEAmHG0SbleDHfdJOQvUcnM.html
There is no need for your exlamitive and declarative sentence mood as I made a civil statement on a video public for the informative reference of others.
I don't think 55 would be an A
I can kiss that A goodbye
lol this isn't true thooooo like if the exams are hard, then the WHOLE country will find them hard, therefore the grade boundaries will be much lower - don't stress ur viewers - it's all gonna be fine guys :)
lol I have no chance of even passing now😂
Please Make Revision videos!!!!!!
+Flame Gflme try these ua-cam.com/play/PL7O6CcKg0HaHpVai53gMROTnSKyK04y_d.html
😭😭
Well I'm scared for results day.
Thought it was 43 for A
I literally just want a C.
is 45 a B or an A on biology pretty sure I got that ahaha. Biology is so not my forte
No offence, but 54/55 for an A is total balderdash
Goodbye to my b I was hoping for😂
I don't think the grade boundries will be that high. Sorry don't take me wrong here but your not an examiner and you haven't seen the paper. All your predictions are false. We did the biology paper the other day, Primrose bare exaggerated how its going to be really stretchy and harder, but no it was not. As a candidate I must admit that last year's paper was way harder than this years paper. So, if you are not the examiner then please don't bother predicting things that are false.
Thats ridiculous... its impossible :(
NOOOOOOOO!
nah can you lot fail so I can get an A* please
51 for an A im sleep
ig daniel_mccoyy
crap we're doomed
AAOOHH MMYYYYY
You're joking..
I'm going to fail😡😡😡😥
Please be lying 😭😭
she just wants ppl to watch her vids by worrying u guys its all bs
If people are worried they are more likely to work harder (at least for me) so can you really blame her IF she's wrong
Reuben Sidhu yes because let's not trust someone who has years of teaching experience at GCSE and A level, who has been in contact with exam boards to find out information like all other teachers.
Wish I didn't watch this
i hope she is wrong
Year 11's.
If we make it out alive,
Buy me nandos.
cheeky
Very Cheeky ayyy
hell yeah dog! hmu when you wanna go
my school are literally bribing the boys with nando's and constant pizza to get them to revise smh
