Can u make a video about how to play good defence
I have the roll up shooting pad and I've had a lot of problems with it warping and bending. I wouldn't recommend it if you really lean into your shots
That's some good insight. I have only had an issue with one that I always leave outside, it had a bit of a ripple in it but I just glued it to a piece of plywood to give myself a solid base and it was fine.
I'm young and I fund for most of my own gear now and I really need a way to practice my shooting and stick handling in my garage. I've researched a bit and people say they HDPE is good for green biscuits and stuff. And its only $20 for 24x48. But you've used a lot of products so what would you recommend for a starting budget of ≈$200. I already have a green biscuit.
If you actually do the math, the dryland tiles are the best bang for your buck. Just getting 6 of them makes it a 36 in by 54 in little pad for only 66 bucks. Which is bigger than the intermediate pad for less money.
i love how he says 3 years the prices may be different and i look when this video was make and it was made pretty much 3 years ago LOLOL
Damn it I didn't know there was a bigger size than the pro shooting pad. I would've bought the roll up shooting pad.
I got a free arena board regular size and it works great
Nice video - I had a few questions about the pro size shooting pad and the roll up shooting pad. Which one is more durable? I practice my shot a lot over the summer, so would the pro size mat be more durable than the roll up pad due to the thickness? Also, which is better in terms of performance? Does one pad allow for the puck to slide better than the other? And last of all, will I have enough room on the pro shooting pad for a full one timer if I put an Extreme Passer on it?
I think the pro size shooting pad will be more durable because it is a little thicker. The slide is the same on both. The pro size pad is better for use on gravel and grass and softer surfaces. For an extreme passer I would recommend the roll-up shooting pad because you will appreciate the extra room and time to set up.
Do they all slide the same? eg. shooting pads vs shooting roll vs tiles
Pretty much, as long as it's smooth I'm happy. I haven't noticed any big difference from one vs the other.
Does the shooting pad wear the bottom of your stick?
This is a great question, I to am curious to how the pads/boards affect the stick blade itself? Also the boards suggest to NOT use tape on the blade when using the boards/panels/etc, but does that come at the expense of the sticks blade wear, etc? Seems like using the stick with NO TAPE would deteriorate the blades integrity eventually?
How to hockey are you suppose to use tape on shooting boards or not apparently if you don't it feels more like ice
I got intermediate really good
Can u get the big one at canadian tire? The roll up one
do you think the Roll Up one is worth it or should i just get the professional im a defense that likes practicing slap shots and long pull up wrist shots
Hey should you use tape on a shooting board or not just wondering
Do you ever find it hard to transition from a shooting pad to ice? I was shooting great the other day, but then when I went to the rink my shots were no where near as good. Do you think there's a significant difference because of the extra height the skates add?
Because I do it so much I don't notice much of a difference, but when I first started shooting off ice I did notice. You just need to learn to adjust, it takes time and the gains you make off the ice will transfer to on the ice.
How To Hockey its probably mostly about the skates. I recommend wearing outdoor roller hockey skates as you practice stickhandling
I may need to look into some roller blades myself? AS I am building an off ice training/shooting area with hard white panels and the EZ goal and backstop etc, because I currently practice in the living room with a Street hockey goal and balls, but the feel for shooting street hockey balls on the ground vs shooting ice hockey pucks on the ice is literally NOTHING alike AT ALL!!! So my shots get NO PRACTICE with my current street hockey indoor set-up,...The pucks are not close to as controllable on ice as the balls are on the ground and the design of a puck is flat compared to the easy lifting design of a ball by nature...Any suggestions for me to factor in? Thx
can i take slappers on the roll up?
Do you recommend the stick you have
I only see the pro on the website do you not sell the others anymore?
I have the roll up pad
How much is the roll up tile you didn't say?
Check hockeyshot.com. I think its hockeyshot.ca if your in Canada. You can always Google the site.
Shoot, I must have edited out that part. It's $110 but if you use the coupon code and link in the video description it's $10 cheaper
I'm eleven and 5-3 which should I get
you have my fav player PK88 on ur wall
Would it be okay to use a shooting pad if your blade has stick wax on it?
I have a question How To Hockey. I am going to get the dryland shooting tiles and I don't know size to get, What size do u recommend to start off in a big yard. Cause I have a big yard and want to section out a space for hockey shooting and training but I don't know the best size for the space. Also I want room for passing to other people and from for the goal to stay on the tiles.
You would have to measure the area in your yard and then go from there. You don't have to order them all at one, you could get half and then the rest later. They are 1.5 x 1.5 feet each tile.
Or you can get a piece of Melamine board from Lowe's, Home Depot, Menard's, etc. Way longer for way less money.
Yea, Im planning on covering my entire deck with it and adding the EZ goal and backstop and tutor (maybe 2 of them even) and converting my deck into a full training area for me and my kids...I would love to learn if there are ANY draw backs of significance to using the Hard White (Melamine) boards vs all these EXTREMELY expensive prefabbed hockey pads/tiles? As they seem to ALL need to be cleaned and polished (pledge) to sustain optimal sliding feel/ability? Has anyone came up with any serious reasons to NOT use the Melamine etc (Home Depot) panels that cost @$13 per 4'x8' foot board? THx
Are these prices in USD?
make a how to play defense vid
you can make one for like 20 bucks
Just go to home depot thay have one twice the size of the pro and its only 50 bucks
Seriously make a 50 000 subscriber video
I'm twelve and very short what shooting pad do u recommend
I like getting the biggest one you can afford, they last a long time. Follow the tips in the video to determine which is best depending on your situation and where you'll use it the most.
+How To Hockey Can you lay them down next to each other to create an larger patch of "ice"
+How To Hockey - Coach Jeremy I got the roll up for Christmas and the passer pro
just go to home depot and buy a big white board for 10 dollars
what are the benefits of white tape over black tape or black over white
Mostly personal preference. There are small differences but nothing game changing. White tape is usually better for your grip because it's easier on the gloves and won't mark them up.
Patrick Star you can see the puck best on white tape but black tape hides the puck
Is this factual or more of a myth? the "blk tape is stickier (than white/colors)..." ? Thx
$11 a tile is far too exspensive
Anyone else use office chair pads
You look just like Cody Cici
I have one that is way bigger and is only 20 dollars

Where did you get that tshirt?
If you really want a good shooting pad then go to Home Depot and buy a thrifty white panel board. They only cost $13 and they are 8x4 ft! I got one and have loved it. Also if you spray something like pledge on it and rub it around with a rag it becomes even more like ice. Much better value then any if the other shooting pads
How well do the Home Depot Hard (Melamine) Panel/boards work and hold up over time and weather etc? Yea, Im planning on covering my entire deck with it and adding the EZ goal and backstop and tutor (maybe 2 of them even) and converting my deck into a full training area for me and my kids...I would love to learn if there are ANY draw backs of significance to using the Hard White (Melamine) boards vs all these EXTREMELY expensive prefabbed hockey pads/tiles? Has anyone came up with any serious reasons to NOT use the Melamine etc (Home Depot) panels that cost @$13 per 4'x8' foot board? Thx
