I actually forgot her name AND that joke, so when he said Madrucula I was like, "Is that her name?" then I tried to think of what it is and couldn't so thought to myself, "That must be right. I mean, he would know, because he wants to smash her." lmao Until I saw your comment.
The fact that Dylan doesn't recognise the male lead in the movie Finding You as Chad from the Descendants films, even when he is immediately annoyed by the douchy smile, is so funny to me.
I feel like a new rule needs to be implemented that if Dylan gets the score wrong by more than 10% he has to watch the movie. Edit: Boogies, I think this will happen! Thanks to everyone who liked the comment!
@@yummybeeftaco You must have extremely high standards if you thought Finding You was that terrible. It’s nothing great-I would say it’s average and very predictable, but terrible? I can’t imagine what you would think of some of the B movies I’ve seen; literally makes Finding You look like an Academy Award winning film.
To the person with the depressed sister: I’ve had depression for almost 10 years too, but it’s not an excuse to treat people poorly. It sounds like she needs to come to that realization on her own, that’s not something you can make her understand unfortunately 💔
Yes, fact, I feel shitty and sometimes I am mean, that's not like after 10years of dealing with depression I'm gonna pick a fight all the time. She's just using it as excuse to be asshole
the sister could also struggle with bpd because black and white thinking and mood swings are common with that. I've had depression for over 10 years and was diagnosed with bpd less than a year ago after some trauma stuff. i just hope her sister finds the help she needs because I am hoping that the sister doesn't fully understand the hurt she's causing. if it's not bpd and just an excuse to be rude, she needs help regardless and so do the parents for enabling her. it's probably really tough on everyone :/
@@emilytonk Of course we don't know what is going from just that little snippet, at the same time BPD or not someone still needs to be held accountable for their actions. I've done DBT therapy twice after being diagnosed with BPD and I've learned that in the end I can only control myself and my actions. It's not anyone else's job to cater to my feelings or be okay when I'm mean.
About the stepmother situation, I feel like everybody losses. Sucks for the stepmom because she'll always feel second, sucks for the daughter because she'll feel the stepmom is trying to replace her mom and sucks for the dad because he's stuck in the middle.
I agree and at the same time, he lost his first wife so to even ask that question is so incredibly insensitive. And in front of her step kid who also lost her mom? Just all around not okay. She's an adult and needs to recognize that while she may be insecure, it is no excuse for demanding an answer to that question like that.
Lol no. She’s literally jealous of a dead woman like that’s petty and silly. He genuinely loved her love doesn’t die. She should be mature enough to handle that with Grace she signed up for this.
@@cherryontop821 Well no, her problem obviously isn't with the ex-wife. It's with the husband who she feels does not love her to the full extent she knows he has. I feel like everyone telling her to be "mature" and less "insecure" are just people who eat eggs with shells. See things at face value. Of course, she signed up for this, blah blah, yeah. THATS true. And blah blah blah yeah, she SHOULD understand he loves his ex, blah blah blah. I get THAT. But you guys are acting as if she didn't already know that.
I live with my mum and stepdad and I'd never dream of asking him if he'd choose his late wife over my mum, it'd be so beyond insensitive and just cruel to all parties. My mum would never ask him either, because what's he meant to say? It's such an odd question to even think about asking.
@@chickennoodlesoup3301 She shouldn’t have married him, then, if she can’t deal with him still loving his late wife. She put herself in this situation at the end of the day, so she has no one to blame but herself (instead of her husband). And I could respect if that’s how she feels inside, but the fact that she chose to speak it out loud in front of her step daughter and stayed at her relative’s house afterwards tells me she’s only thinking of her own feelings, which is a terrible thing to do when you are a mother figure to children in a family. She seems selfish and can’t catch it before it becomes destructive to others.
@@SallySkeleton No.That time was special occasion ,becuase he was making Friends video on his other channel and he coudnt post for a long time here and becuase of that he desided to do a hour long video.
Were any of them married though, I don't think it was really mentioned at all. When I think about it, you're dead, problems don't exist so it shouldn't matter for him to visit his first love or however heaven works because she would also want to visit her dead loved ones
Okay, I know we're all jokes here but this one actually bothered me. Like, that's such a sh!tty situation to put someone in, especially in front of their child who you know had a long established connection to the mother. Talk about it in private if you have to. It's basically "you love me more than your dead wife (and mom), right?" and left no room for nuance or him to explain his thoughts. And the more you push people, the more likely they're gonna get aggressive and give a brutally honest answer so you'll back off. She got that and is upset. I get feeling hurt by that, but, like, you set him up with no wiggle room. It's totally invalidating the dad and anon's feelings in favour of her own. Over a dumb hypothetical question at that. This is the kind of thing you see on bad TV shows featuring a stereotypical stepmom, with the setting people up, getting mad about it, staying at their family's place until the other person apologizes, needing to feel better than the previous spouse, etc. I feel bad for everyone involved, but especially the dad. Damn.

@@lunawhoran I'm not defending the step mom but I think you're way out of line too though. If you got married to the person you want to spend the rest of your life with you wouldn't be very happy with someone that will never love you as much or more either, that is with you because you're a placeholder till they can meet their soulmate again. Most people don't think that's real love nor would they put themselves in that situation, it's unfair. There is an innate need in people to be chosen over anyone else in the room when it comes to love, because there are so many options. What sets you apart? Am I special to you or just convenient? It's a valid question. I just don't think the way the step mom went about it was correct because it came from insecurity/toxicity rather than having genuine communication with her partner to see if this is something she wants and is okay with.
The reason Dylan’s guess with Cruella was way off and was surprised. Was because he thought it was a remake of 101 Dalmatians from Cruella’s perspective, but it’s actually Cruella’s backstory.
Kinda surprised Dylan didn't know Baby Driver. Ig it wasn't a giant hit but the insane amount of effort that went into the sound design and choreography makes it a must-watch for anyone who appreciates good cinematography
I’m surprised it wasn’t as big of a hit as I thought. I saw that movie everywhere at the time it came out. Granted though I was just way more in movie related spaces back then so I guess some sorta frequency bias there.
It was a decent hit. It was on most watched list on netflix at one point and the opening scene has 90 million views on UA-cam. Which is what most people remember it by
@@sofiasofia-em It's set a few years in the future and is from the "boyfriend's" point of view. I use quotation marks because even though she chooses to live we find out she does break up with him. It's basically them reconnecting and getting back together. It's called Where She Went and is pretty much just a romance novel. I liked it but that might just be because at some point the guy goes on a small rant about how he loves her that rocked my little seventh grade world.
“I don’t know if this dragon boy is going to be enough for me. What with his work schedule and SuCh.” The freaking delivery of this line by Dylan made me almost die of laughter 🤣 I had so much fun watching this video, the hilarious editing matches Dylan’s chaotic energy so well! I love this so much
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the editor of this video! Fabulous job! The editing is that extra sparkle on Dylan's videos. And these secrets are sooo bad, that its sooo good!! I want more!
25:52 It's funny how Dylan is concerned about the person that wants to kill everyone, but at the same time he always wishes everyone dead in every single movie
About the person with the stepmom afterlife advice question: when I was a kid, I used to read the Land of Stories books. The main characters are siblings and their father had died a couple years prior to when the first book takes place. In the second book, their mom starts a relationship with her colleague, also widowed, and keeps it a secret from the kids at first because she doesn't want to upset them. Eventually they do find out and there's a big argument and things go down, but it settles out and they accept this new guy into their family. One of the kids, Connor, shares his worry that things might be awkward if they all see each other again in the afterlife and I think his mom had the nicest response to that. She tells him "I think we'll all just be so happy to see each other again that none of that is going to matter." Idk, that's just what the situation reminded me of.
I feel like this could have been handled better by the dad. It’s a hypothetical situation, he could choose both or say that it doesn't matter cause it's the afterlife.
@@lopezcarmencecilia I personally think it could have been handled better by the step mother. Her step daughter was RIGHT there when she chose to challenge her husband on his love for her step daughter’s deceased mother, and then she leaves the house and stays somewhere else as if she couldn’t see her actions were hurtful to her step children. She seems very ignorant (don’t marry a widow/widower if you can’t handle them still loving their late spouse) and selfish.
As someone who has struggled with depression for a long time, I think Dylans advise for the sister was really good. You cant help anyone if you are drowing yourself, so you gotta put yourself first sometimes. The person with depression will understand, even if its not right away. Plus I would advise talking to them about how you are feeling and ask them how you might be able to better respond and how they in turn could maybe respond back. Or go with them when they have a therapy session and ask the therapist for tips on how to help, but also not make it harder for yourself
I mean you can try and help all you want but that can only go so far when the person clearly doesn't want help and can't help themselves after 10 entire years so realistically it's better not to drown with them. I must agree too.
I think and checking that they're going to therapy regularly. Family and friends are not equipped to handle mental health in loved ones (sometimes they make things worse because they react genuinely or get burnt out from being around the person). I definitely think the idea of like family counseling or the parents attention support groups for people with mental health struggles helps. I'm a person that can't be around negativity for a long time, so people like the sister I would probably avoid like the plague and be incredibly drained by. I've had friends and students that never have anything positive to say in the past so instead of my usual greeting to people "Hi, how are you doing today?", I'd go for an enthusiastic wave in passing and say "Hi, have a great day" while walking past them.
Additionally, finding a way to communicate "I need a break in order to be able to support you, but I will come back" I think could be helpful for you [person submitting story] to get the needed respite without having as much backlash from the people looking for your support.
Dylan's advice was great, and so is yours. No one can expect a 19 yr-old who's just starting her life to know how to best be supportive, especially when she's grown up with it. She needs her time to individuate. Her parents don't seem to be handling the dynamic well either by ignoring her needs, and being mean back makes it all worse, so a little family therapy sounds like a great idea. But as someone who also has depression, did this sound off to anyone else? Like is depression the cause of you picking fights with people you're around? It could just be me, but while I can be grumpy and over-sensitive, for the most part, I barely have the capacity to engage with people when I'm having an episode. Either that or I spend my limited energy on masking because I don't wanna be seen as a burden. So to me, out-right picking fights seems like an unhealthy family dynamic, not depression itself. Like our mental illnesses aren't an excuse to be mean to people, and it sounds like the parents are enabling bad behavior by excusing it as depression? Or am I just projecting my version of mental illness on everyone else? 😅
@@lunacouer I think it's a perfect reason for the sister and/or family to go to counseling. As a person who works in mental health for a living, the person's situation seems like a textbook of the parents (and sister) using the sister's depression as an excuse (normally from using the family as the counseling supplement, versus actual counseling). The parents probably coped with their own burn out by blaming the OP for not "being there" for the sister, when in actuality the parents are trying to pressure the OP into being responsible so the parents can have a break. No doubt the parents dread being alone with the sister monster they created by enabling the sister's behavior (probably because it was easier). I've seen it many times not just with mental illness but physical illness and disabilities as well. The family really needs some family counseling and some family wide support to help them because what's going on now, isn't helping anyone. They need someone objective and someone professionally trained to step in.

I'm from Pakistan too.. My friend's parents are first cousins,, and her little brother was dysfunctional because of their family's inbreeding. Because her dad was a doctor, he recognized the issue and married her and her siblings off to people outside the family (her and her elder sister were engaged to first cousins and they broke off the engagements).. A lot of people I know who are married are first cousins. Many families marry within close relatives because "blood is thicker than water." I said I will marry outside the family and I'm barely in contact with my relatives because everyone hates me for choosing "outsiders".
first of all, the "blood is thicker than water" phrase is misunderstood and misused here. its actually, "blood of covenant is thicker than the water of the womb" meaning chosen bonds are stronger than familial blood relations. secondly, because islam allows marriages between cousins due to the mahram/non-mahram rule, people especially desis usually mostly go that route just because its a convenient options and the thinking that it grows the families "closer". i personally think it should be "avoided" as much as possible. i mean pairings are made by God so no one can do alternative to what He intended to happen, but sometimes its all people see.
I was actually surprised that western countries consider cousins (even first) marriages as incest, its a very normal thing outhere, however many now are starting to stop doing it given the genitics diseases it has resulted in.
Thank god you chose not to perform incest and create children to inevitably will have a harder life with mental health issues and at risk of fucked up shit. You're morally superior. Thank you for leaving.
While marriage outside of any family is safer, cousins aren't too bad (only a slight increase in birth defects 3-6%) and it is legal in most places. Still kinda weird and I do agree with your choice and feel sorry for you being shunned by your family
So between this and the last (Friends) video I have come to a stark realization. See, I always thought I was in love with Dylan, but it turns out I- Well, I am in fact actually in love with Joe the editor. I I need to go sit with this for a while.
The reason they didn't use the Halloween mask in baby driver is because they couldn't get the rights for it. So they had the idea to ask Mike Myers instead. He thought the gag was funny, so he let them use his likeness
That one about the step mom and the afterlife - kinda tells me maybe the stepmom feels insecure about her position in the family. It’s a tough position to be in… therapy would be helpful to grapple with that reality and come to terms with her place in the family 🙏
I understand what she’s coming from bc she probably sometimes feels she lives in someones shadow and is only there because the mom passed away. To have that ‘confirmed’ by the dad saying he’d spend his afterlife with the mom probably hurt, but at the same time she took it WAY too far😂 Therapy would be a really good option for her cuz there’s really no other way to beat that insecurity

I'm not sure what you mean. Is there a specific part of the video you can point out? Because otherwise, a 15% would add up to 15. Like 42-57% (8+7=15) would be a 15% window. (Here you can treat the "%" like any other unit, say inches, pounds, dollars, etc. Not taking a percent of another number as in a proportion).

I watched Cruella on a whim once and it’s surprisingly very good! I think it’s actually more for an older audience. And the cinematography was really great! To me there were no boring parts of the movie. I kinda want to watch it again after seeing you react to it.
I’m a therapist, so the first advice you answered… you did a good job. To anyone dealing with something similar, you’re not selfish for distancing yourself. Your sister if she hasn’t started, would need to go through therapy. You’re encouraging the behavior if you ignore it or just say “it’s her condition.” Your sister likely has one of 2 things, because depression and irritability isn’t just depression. It’s either bipolar disorder or borderline personality disorder. Also as a disclaimer, this isn’t an official diagnosis but from personal experience with clients, that would be my educated guess. Just because someone’s family, doesn’t mean you have to tolerate their actions. If they won’t change, then you have to, to protect yourself. Edit: I knew I would get pushback on this, but I put a disclaimer and PLEASE if you want an official diagnosis, please see a mental health therapist, psychologist, or psychiatrist personally. And also what people share online, there is likely bias. I just think that’s implied. Just like how my opinion can be biased, because that’s subjective but with some evidence of experience. You should never take someone’s opinion 100%, even if there is some data behind it. Psychology is a social science so everyone can be a little different from person to person. Data from research will never say things happen 100% of the time.
I also was thinking that having depression wasn't a reason to be angry and mean all the time, you clearly know much more than me so I appreciate your answer a lot.
As a therapist, you should know better than this. Do NOT guess at diagnosing random people based on no information. Big red no no. Irritability can absolutely come from depression. It might also just be personality or her coping mechanism for what she is feeling in the moment. You need to be very careful about throwing around therapist on the internet with such poor advice. This is clearly against ACA ethics.
@@bethany8734 So did you miss the disclaimer part? I mean, I agree with not diagnosing over he internet but a therapist saying there may be more to it isn't against any ethical guidelines. Also, they may not be American so not ACA ethics to abide by. EDIT: I know ACA is going to b similar to other countries. By this I mean that defaulting to the American practice standards shouldn't be the norm as it's very US-centric. I know that viewers are more likely to be American but I just don't like the implication that the American way is the only way if that makes sense. If not let me know and I'll try to explain this better.
9:50 Girl, prioritize YOURSELF first! I’m a 19 year old girl as well, and I have depression. I also have a younger sister. Now your sister probably has very different kind of mental health issues from me, but regardless, mental health is no excuse to treat others poorly. It’s okay to be supportive, great actually, but your sister is not entitled to your unconditional love and support 24/7. If her behaviour is affecting you, then it’s okay to distance yourself and take time away to focus on YOU. I really hope she is seeing a therapist? But it is the therapist’s job to seek treatment to help her get better, not you. You don’t owe her your unconditional support in her mental health journey. You are also a busy adult with lots of responsibilities and duties and wishes, live your own life a little too. The most important person in your life is you. Best of luck! Hope you find time for yourself, don’t stress yourself out too much!
If you enter into a marriage with a widowed person, you have to understand that your spouse might still love their deceased partner. You have to come to terms with that reality, accept it, and recognize that your spouse has room in their heart to love you too. If you do not have the capacity to respect their previous spouse, you shouldn’t have married a widow/widower.
Agreed. My grandfather lost my grandmother in his 40s, and he eventually remarried a woman who was a widow (she lost her husband as well, and shared children with him like my grandfather did with my grandmother). They both were on the same page and loved each other, but they also loved their late spouses and would talk about them to each other often. It got to the point where my grandfather’s wife would talk to us about my grandmother and use the nickname we had for her, like if she heard so much about her that she felt she knew her. My grandfather did the same with her children in regards to her late husband. They both understood their late spouses were part of their lives even if they remarried, and so discussion about them was never an issue.
Marriage is a 2 way street. Death do us part. If you are a widow or widower, what business do you have re-marrying if you're going to treat your next spouse as a #2 replacement? Esp. if the next has never been wed before. You need to actually part from your last relationship if you're going to move on.
@@xejelah Human emotions are complex, and everyone deals with grief differently. How someone moves on is not up for another to decide. “Until death do us part” can also be interpreted in various ways - a physical separation, a spiritual separation, an emotional separation. Who are we to dictate how people feel or how they interpret their vows? That’s why I included in my original comment the word “might”. If you marry a widowed person, you need to be prepared for that _possibility._ If you have the capacity to be jealous of the dead, if you feel like you will be treated as a “#2”, you shouldn’t marry that person; the onus of those feelings is on you and you alone. You can’t simply demand that your partner stop loving their departed spouse.
I've been taunted with that 3 hour videos of Friends that I can't watch yet so I am so happy for this! And the editing is just making Dylan that much funnier.
For the kid with the depressed sister. I know you want to be there for your sister, but your first priority should be to be there for yourself. I went through and incredibly similar situation and in the end my own mental health was on the ground, except no one was willing to help me because the priority was my depresshi sister. Cutting her out of my life was the one thing that fixed my life. You don't have to cut her out of yours, but you don't have to sacrifice your happiness for her depression, or for anyone else. I imagine she goes to therapy maybe. Therapy is supposed to help her deal with her depression with the world around her as is. It is not the job of the people around her to cater to her every move, it is her own job to get treatment to learn to identify these issues and how to deal with them. I really hope the right person sees this comment :/
Cruella was honestly a decent well made movie with nice surprises. I never even cared about 101 Dalmatians but this movie really surprised me. I’d give it a 7/10 hands down

I see youtubers get so bland with their content sometimes or just kinda burn out but Dylan actually seems more excited, happy, and invested with every new video and its so wonderfully refreshing.
wow i'm literally going through the EXACT same thing as that girl asking for advice about her sister. i love being away from home at college because i don't have to deal with my brothers behavioral issues and the constant conflict at home, but im also really damaging my relationship with my brother and parents by not speaking to them much when im away. i just truly have no desire to talk to them very much, and love them from afar. it makes me feel guilty at times but i really dont think theres anything else u can do
The siblings of special needs are almost always neglected and told to put up with everything because "You're being selfish, don't you see it's not their fault?!" In my experience most of those siblings end up cutting contact with the whole family because they're tired of ALWAYS being the lowest priority and giving up things they want/need "for your sister's sake."

The fact that 'Finding You' had an audience score of 97% is a crime against humanity.
It’s 51%

To the person with the depressed sister: I’ve had depression for almost 10 years too, but it’s not an excuse to treat people poorly. It sounds like she needs to come to that realization on her own, that’s not something you can make her understand unfortunately 💔
Yes, fact, I feel shitty and sometimes I am mean, that's not like after 10years of dealing with depression I'm gonna pick a fight all the time. She's just using it as excuse to be asshole
Also sounds like the parents are enabling it too and need to learn the same lesson.
the sister could also struggle with bpd because black and white thinking and mood swings are common with that.
I agree

To be fair, with the whole "afterlife" question, your wedding vows state "Till death do us part". Anything beyond that is fair game kiddos
Were any of them married though, I don't think it was really mentioned at all. When I think about it, you're dead, problems don't exist so it shouldn't matter for him to visit his first love or however heaven works because she would also want to visit her dead loved ones
@@GoodTimeForARoll yeah he got remarried so he was married to bith
Damn.
@@washedblue and also like, what did she expect???? is his wife didnt die he probably would still be with her, it’s not a divorcee situtation, ITS A WIDOW SITUATION. THE MAN IS A WIDOW. OFC HES GOING TO CHOOSE HER. he didnt have the possibility of falling out of love with her, he didnt get the closure that people that get a divorce get and the new wife should have known that
@@lunawhoran I'm not defending the step mom but I think you're way out of line too though.

@@lopezcarmencecilia Definitely, there's way more diplomatic ways for him to answer.

I'm so surprised to read that inbreeding still exists in this generation 😮
While marriage outside of any family is safer, cousins aren't too bad (only a slight increase in birth defects 3-6%) and it is legal in most places.

24:10 Unfortunetly I was tricked into watching the terrifier… wait until you find out what he’s going ape shit doing😅
Editing is top notch. Dylan is one of the few UA-camrs I keep watching for years
I’m a therapist, so the first advice you answered… you did a good job.
Yesyes very true!
Depression and irritability is a thing though? Cause' there's an irritability question on depression scan test.
A 3 hour long video and now this-dylan you're spoiling me!
Something about Dylan calling (internet)mom ash was so cute, it’s weird to get excited when you see UA-camrs aware of your other comfort UA-camrs.
If you marry a widowed person, you need to be prepared for that _possibility._
If you have the capacity to be jealous of the dead, if you feel like you will be treated as a “#2”, you shouldn’t marry that person; the onus of those feelings is on you and you alone. You can’t simply demand that your partner stop loving their departed spouse.
"Killer arrested for dating 40 year old" killed me 💀
LMAO
I petition for Dylan to release that one video where he read the dark secrets!! The need to know is eating me!
Couldn't imagine my life without Dylan. He brings me so much joy!! I loved that one joke so much!! 🤣
I don't watch Dylan too much, but I need to mention how much I love his editor. I haven't laughed this much all night
The editor is fire totally matches Dylan’s energy
Whoever your editor is they need a raise
Cruella was honestly a decent well made movie with nice surprises. I never even cared about 101 Dalmatians but this movie really surprised me. I’d give it a 7/10 hands down
Wait...Dylan actually bought new clothes😭😭😭
WHAT OMG UR RIGHT
THIS IS UNPRECEDENTED.
The amount of movies Dylan doesn’t know actually baffles me but then again he doesn’t have the best memory
The step mom one pissed me off🤣… cause.. as Dylan said, you become greater, theoretically 💀… I’m pretty sure my spirit won’t call my mom “mom” when we die.. I feel like it’d be two spirits knowing each other… and that’s it😭
19:11 - Could I BE any more proud of Dylan for using „Friends” jokes from now on?
I see youtubers get so bland with their content sometimes or just kinda burn out but Dylan actually seems more excited, happy, and invested with every new video and its so wonderfully refreshing.
The editing on this video made me laugh out loud multiple times. This mix of Dylans jokes and Joes editing has me so excited for future videos.
the editing in this one (as usual) is AMAZING. i’m dying at the limp top jokes 😭😭😭
Dylan never saying Abu and Ursula just the names he made up for them is so funny
You mean Travis and Madrukula?
Your Lie in April DESTROYED me! I cried so many times, but it was such a beautiful story! Definitely a must watch!
This video combines three of my favourite Dylan things- movie reactions, advice, and secrets. All in a fun game show. Honestly it’s perfect.
"I feel like I've lost intelligence, but I've gained wisdom" ~Dylan
GOD! The editing is too GOOD!! Keep up the good work Joe!
wow i'm literally going through the EXACT same thing as that girl asking for advice about her sister.
i love being away from home at college because i don't have to deal with my brothers behavioral issues and the constant conflict at home, but im also really damaging my relationship with my brother and parents by not speaking to them much when im away. i just truly have no desire to talk to them very much, and love them from afar. it makes me feel guilty at times but i really dont think theres anything else u can do
The siblings of special needs are almost always neglected and told to put up with everything because "You're being selfish, don't you see it's not their fault?!" In my experience most of those siblings end up cutting contact with the whole family because they're tired of ALWAYS being the lowest priority and giving up things they want/need "for your sister's sake."
Dylan saying "can you be more Irish???!?!?!" To the Irish character, love it. Also IS THAT THE DERRY GIRLS GIRL
Give your editor a raise. Joe adding the brats "ewww" cracked me up!!! love watching your videos!
Dylan I laughed so damn hard at one of your jokes in this video
