@@karlaknapper7616 He either did, is in the process of, or has been seriously considering buying the land. In his song "Everything" on the Nasir album, he says: I'm buyin' back the land owned by the slave masters Where my ancestors lived, just to say a rapper Made a change, the pants-sagger put plans in action To lay claim the Pan-African made it happen
Would be better if he bought the land in West Africa that belonged to the black slave merchant that sold his ancestors to white people, and build a monument there on his grave.
My name has been nas since I was very young because of this nas right there and we never meet but I have his spirit and his soul trough me for sure . His inspirations are just another levels and I hope he buys the damn land , respect
Thank you to the person who posted this. I came across it randomly. These plantation owners names were all sounding extremely familiar. I was able to go back in my family tree and I think these are very distance relatives of mine. I also have much closer relatives that owned people and through a lot of manpower, I’ve been able to bring some of this to light in our family.
Outsiders perspective here. Idk why the US hasn't done this yet. Can't imagine the drama you guys go through. A lot of our identity and pride comes from where we are and our past. Can't imagine what it feels like to not only not know where my ancestors are from but to also know that they were treated like property.
If there are reparations, everybody would have to get a dna test to prove they are at least 51% African. With all the mixed races, there will be a lot disappointed people!
On lui a montré l'homme qui possédait ses ancêtres lorsqu'ils étaient esclaves, et on lui a dit pour combien sa grand-mère avait été achetée. Ensuite, il envisage d'acheter la terre que possédaient ses ancêtres.
She was native, that’s why her name was Pocahontas. Of the Choctaw tribe, the enemy doesn’t want American negroes to know the truth of their own land. That’s why they invented the term African American
"Naw I'm just thinking about buying that land"
Boss af
I loved that response. Exactly what I was 🤔
I need a follow up, I want him to have bought the land

I truly hope Nas bought that land and that slaveholder's grave was still on it so he could build a statue of his ancestors and put it on top of it.

Nas is just humble
His reaction is so real!

You’re welcome
Nas is one fine ass dude
His great great grandmother was Native American. The name Poccohuntas is a dead giveaway, Choctaw tribe
Edward Norton found out that Poccohuntas was his great great great grandmother. That would be so neat if they both found out they were related.
Would love to have seen the full episode.
It’s on iTunes
Love Nas. Hes thinking like I would be thinking. "So these are the eyes they looked into?"
Love him.
I love you NAS

Who's paying who? Many descendents of slaves are also descendents of slavers.

Unfortunately it burned down? Sounds like karma to me.
He looked like he wanted to knock the crap out of that picture.

@@j_izm4897 yea Nas far from broke lol mad rich, and he’s throwing knowledge at the youth and reminders to the OGs nowadays.
Methinks ye a hater.
Listen to how the host is actively trying to upset him "This is the WHITE man that OWNED your gma" WTF?
is he not white? were people who were forcibly enslaved back then not considered property under the law? 🤔
I mean, its not like he lied the man. At that moment Nas was looking at a picture of the white man who owned his ancestors🤷🏾♀️
