Kingdom of The Dinosaurs (Opening Month 1987) - AKA Cleaning Lady Storyline

Here is something that is quite extremely rare and unheard of for Knott's Bear-y Tales and Kingdom of The Dinosaur fans. When Kingdom opened in 1987 there was actually an original storyline complete with an extra character named Wilka. She was the cleaning lady of Professor Wells who set off the Time Machine originally. You will see the major difference in the Lab, while the rest of the ride remains the same except for some audio differences...
So due to this early storyline which appeared in the ride's initial opening. The ride had some ultra rare and mostly unheard of lines that both Professor Wells and Wilka share which kinda gave the story a bit more humor. Of course this didn't last because according to former Bear-y Tales operator and Knott's Set Designer, Del Langdale. The cleaning lady Wilka was taken out and was replaced by the more famous Professor Wells complete with the change in dialogue that resulted in the iconic lines we all know today!
Unfortantely, due to how many years have passed since 1987. These lines are most definitely lost to time and might not be around anywhere within the hands of Knott's or any salvage savvy employees.
I had to save these clipsm (Mostly audio since footage is dark) due to how ultra rare this version of the ride is and I wanted to provide something that wouldn't be considered Lost Media. That and to prove that there was INDEED a Cleaning Lady once installed before Professor Wells took over!

The way the lab looked here is how I remember seeing it in the early 90s. A bit unsettling and ominous with all the weird gizmos and props and darkness but the thing that creeped me out the most was that huge Buffalo head mounted on the wall. To a young kid that thing was terrifying lol.

I was a big fan of the rolling lava effect. Also as good as Knott’s Berry Tales smelled, this ride had an amazing smell of electronics and oil. Such wild memories of this haha

Really?! I thought they abandoned the idea of the scents with Kingdom. Good to know they didn't!
