@@catherinetorgerson5111 I've said that from the first video-- that it felt like she lived next door to me! Renee's such a good person with the sunniest personality!
Really nice restaurant, love the ghost story of Stella! Its always a treat to see glimpses of different places in Paducah in your videos, that city is really charming, has an old fashioned classy vibe! Blessings from Norway😊
Looked like a fabulous place for dining. The outside of the building was beautiful, too. And your cocktails, dinners and dessert all looked scrumptious. Made me hungry! I wish them well. After the pandemic it is wonderful to see places opening up and people out socializing again. Thanks for taking us along with you.
Lovely pub yes it's like the old pubs we have here in UK Love haunted story and history your making me hungry food looks delicious great night thanks Renee randy
Renee, a thought ran through my head while watching this. If someone hasn't already had an interest in your business, maybe talk to Drew the owner of Stella's. He could have 2 businesses on the same street that are outstanding! Nice restaurant, very classy!
Yes Connie!!! Wow you were paying attention 💗 They’ve been renovating for a long while and their grand opening to the public was Oct 4. We got a special preview 😊
A .ot of nice touches at Stella's...the colors they used with the wood is very attractive. Love the leather cover on the menu too. Food looked fantastic...I'd go home and pass out after that meal!! Thank you for sharing!!
Cohens were originally a department store in the early 1900s. The family lived upstairs. They had two daughters. In the 1950s, it was closed, but I remember looking in and seeing Stella and her sister, with their dog, sitting in the store. When the restaurant opened, it was named CC Cohens after the department store, but the Cohen family never owned the restaurant.
What an awesome addition to your downtown - with quite a history! Bet "Stella" is happy now :) I would totally go if I lived nearby! Yum! Never have seen a glass like that Randy's Old Fashioned was served in! Pretty cool!
My dad grew up in Paducah and we’d go back to visit my grandma often as a kid. Old lady Cohen would sit in the doorway on hot days. Then she passed and CC Cohens opened. I’m so happy to see the new restaurant in the old building. Gotta get back soon!
Loved the look of Stellas especially since it is still haunted by original. owners. I'm sure they ( the ghosts)are so pleased Stellas kept the intergrity and vintage look so they feel right at home. The menu sounded wonderful. The cotton candy was a nice little touch. And to be in the classy, artsy little street where your ice cream shop is, gives it a special flair. Renee thank you for taking us with you & Randy to Stellas. We wish them great good fortune.
Took my grandma there once I came back to visit my hometown of Paducah, had a great lunch and the cool drinks with the smoker effect to them. Greetings from Florida!
Haunted dining! How fun! One of my bucket lists is the ghost tours in New Orleans. One of my " never gonna happen but a girl can dream" bucket lists is living in an old Victorian haunted house. Not scary haunted, moody haunted lol The perfect setting for reading ghost stories by a fire type haunted.
I love that they named it Stella’s after the original owner. I bet she’d love that! Great spot! Thank you for taking us along Renee! Those cocktails sounded great, and fish n chips is a fave of mine too!
OMG, I haven't had my dinner yet tonight, and seeing Randy's big ol' pork chop had me salivating!! One of my HS friends studied interior design, and I remember her saying the big money was in doing restaurant interiors. It makes sense; ambience plays a huge part in whether or not I enjoy a restaurant. If Randy likes old fashioneds, he'll have to try one the next time you visit Kendel -- BRANDY old fashioneds are definitely a Wisconsin thing. If the car market EVER eases up so I can get rid of my current junker, a Paducah road trip will definitely be in order. I'll put Stella's on my list of places to dine, along with Doe's, and of course Craving the Curls!
Both of your entrées looked delish! The pork chop was huge. I would've gotten that. I never pass up hand cut fries. My mom always made them. Probably didn't have many frozen choices back in my day. I like malt vinegar on them! Now I'm going to have to go eat dinner after seeing all that!
Thanks for taking us with you. That was fun! Stella’s has such an enchanting vibe. Leather menu, spooky cocktails, torched wood art tables almost like they were mimicking hit by lightening vibe, brutalist pork chops 🍖 with dagger knife 🔪 sharp side up. I was here for it all. Could feel the ghost of Stella and the Cohen’s upstairs. CrEEK, 🦶🏻cReEK, 🦶🏻crEEK…👻 Definitely adding whole town to my bucket list starting with Craving the Curls and Stella’s. I love Kentucky…the South and the Ozarks in Midwest. Y’all are great. 😎😎🐶🐶
That front door is beautiful! They don't make doors like that anymore. My son and DIL live in an old house and I love their front door! 1920's solid heavy wood with beveled glass and matching windows on both sides of the door. Just gorgeous! It's getting harder and harder to find homes with character in them. Looks like a great restaurant and fun night out that you and hubby had. Ya'll had a nice table by the widow and their menu looks delicious. So hard to choose from because it all looks good! I enjoyed reading the story on the back of the menu too.
Wow! Awesome video! Stella’s is excellent! A great addition to Paducah’s downtown! Wish them much success! Randy’s got peeps!!😁….uh, yea he do!!❤️ Shirt looked great!! You movin’ on up Sister!! 62k!! Happy Dance!! I’m so happy for you!! Enjoy your celebration!! 😘

Wow the food at Stella's looked so good it made me want to drive there for dinner.....and of course not to forget dessert at "Craving the Curls"! Thank you for sharing that Renee!
Before CC Cohens Restaurant I believe it was Bogeys Bar. Cold beer hot rock and roll. Spent many nights there in late 70’s early 80’s. They cut the hole in the ceiling and opened the second floor. The stage was under the hole. Also ate at Cohens and am looking forward to Stellas next time we’re in town. Paducah boy says howdy from Waco Texas!
The vampire kiss cocktail looks so good, now since the building is supposed to be hunted how about recommending they allow a paranormal group such as Ghost hunters are the ghost Brothers come in go to the third floor to see if Stella's really there I think it would be cool what do you think.
Yummy 😋 .... ** I noticed on menu for appetizer was some sort of Ham/cheese croquettes, I would order that. Absolute good choices, looked 'fresh' not overly done & melt in the mouth goodness 👌. Nice show/tell restaurant!
We saw the servers taking bowls of green stuff to tables around us...but had no idea what it was. She brought ours....and I laughed. Thought it would just taste like sugar. But it did NOT! It was like eating a cotton candy version of a green Jolly Rancher. Sooo good....fun and unique too!
