This is an example of a great bashing video. The terrain is good, the shots are great and the truck is driven well. I like to put it up in the background while I'm wrenching on my trucks.

The Summit has my favorite RC truck suspension behavior.
Nicely done and those slow-mo shots really show the suspension working and the punishment the Summit endures.

One of the best RC videos i've seen. Thank you for the hard work and time spent. It was worth it. I'm new to checking out RC videos and was beginning to think the hobby was all about guys opening boxes and listening to themselves talk about nothing. Traxxas should keep you stocked with parts so that truck stays running for more videos. You just sold me on the Summit. I mean literally - i'm going to order one right now.

Cool video my friend slo mo's never get old do they off todays cameras.
I'm poor arrrr but I've just got a t-max cheap off eBay I've pulled the stinky noisy thing out (luv engines but not tiny temperamental 2 strokes) and ordered a brushless motor/esc to make a ET max I'd like to keep the manual brake and the 2 gear tranny and I even like the manual reverse for some reason, I'm going to try to use a 6ch transmitter/receiver from my quadcopter if it's possible.
The other reason for the 6ch is I find the steering lock 2 lock on car controllers to be too short can't wait to get it going never thought I'd own anything like this.
Oh the last freeze frame was brilliant, made me laugh when u let it go anyway all the best from the UK England

dude awesome video! i also like ur 40 series mudslingers! what i did is i got a mudslinger XL, which is a couple inches smaller in diameter than the 40 series, and cut a small hole in the back of the summit and bolted the tire to the summit. it looks awesome! if you have an extra you should try that with yours since you have mudslingers on it already!

I would put it in low voltage detection mode, but thats about all. The truck is a beast in stock form

Your summit backend is slapping the ground. You should get a new set of springs for the back. The orange traxxas springs help. (they are the springs at the front, they are stiffer than the ones from the back)You can get them prime for $5 on amzon.com. If you do this please make a video of it. :)
why dont u just switch the springs around

No lipo surprisingly, just my MaxAmps 8.4v 5000mah nimh batteries.
Can you do a vid about lipo and how,you have to discharge them and stuff plz. Im very new to the hobby and all my local hobby stores are crap

Yea, not everyone can handle the summit haha. The mudslingers have been real good to me.

There is a 1/16 summit and a 1/10, this is a 1/10 some people refer to it as 1/8 because it is so big.

The video is cool, but there is nothing impressive about its performance. Over priced RTR slapped w old technology. Traxxas ID is another marketing hype. The video is nicely edited, but the truck is boring. No sense dumping that much cash on a brushed setup.
I disagree. I feel that a vehicle of its size and of its quality is well worth the price. While it does come brushed, i find it to go to the speed it should in high and still be able to crawl with torque in low. As you know this vid is a bit old and it dosnt have the ID stuff on it which I don't think much of. I think of the summit as sort of a jack of all trades and it is by far my favorite. Glad you enjoyed the video, just thought I'd speak my opinion
LM Space it's not about speed it's sort off a crawler thingy that can go fast it's has lockable diffs for crying out loud
The summit is the only truck i own that has never broke no matter how hard i am on it its a tank stock
