Hello, I haven't read all the information about your AU, but I have some thoughts. When creating dolls of his parents, he could well have made them adult characters, but his choice fell on children's images. Could this mean that David was not healthy before and treated his parents more from the position of a parental figure? Or were the parents themselves so unhappy that he decided to get rid of part of their personality?
