William “Bootsy” Collins playing bass guitar and brother Phelps “Catfish” Collins playing lead guitar with Fred Wesley playing horns. James Brown had the best band in the business in 1971.
It's literally a masterclass in style, funk and soul from beginning to end. The venue - gorgeous, the crowd - dressed to kill The music - unreal, absolute HEAT
This man is living manifestation of rythm. His live Improvisation has no end, cause he's not human, he's just pure universal energy of rythm. If You're able to sit and listen to James You're either paralized or boring hater. James Brown is synonym for party.
When one sees or watches the sloppy performances of the countless garage band supergroups today and yesterday ,..stop and watch. This is perfection in precision with room for no errors or immature twanging or practice noise between songs. This man set a standard for live performance and musician discipline that ruled his era. Michael and Earth,Wind and Fire learned from this genius that precision and rhythmical repitition would entrance the audience into a state of frenzy. I am an old man and musician and believe JB was a miracle to live performance. MS.
I totally agree ,that discipline is legendary,it made the difference between him and others ,I think of George Clinton and Parliament whom I loved and still ,they had better music but much less discipline in my humble opinion .
...oh, how true... people in the 70's looked good!... clips from that era... you see how they had shape, and their bodies glowed.. today, there are mostly amorphous beings... chemically nourished into deceased afflicted specimens of what humans once were.
@@rotichawal6697 How do you know he's white? Well I'm white, and I also say that black women is an absolute goddess. Many of them are-- and if more of them had their hair like that nowadays it'd be better still.
As a black woman at 51,and recently getting to know who James Brown really was; Nothing makes my day more than listening to his music"A mans mans mans world...Get up offa that thing..Please please and Sex machine."They knock me right off a my feet.He was nothing but the best performer everrrrr
I’m 66 white man James brown is the man I seen him on Halloween when I was a little kid sitting on the floor I stood up. I was amazed his singing his dancing, and you’re right the show the lyrics there’s nothing like it anymore a legend.
With all this crap going on now with racial divide, they should just play some James Brown and everyone just get down and be happy. I'm a grumpy middle aged white guy but nothing makes me smile more than listening to some JB.
Fantastico!
Performance assolutamente straordinaria.... Line bass e line guitar immortali.... E' l'ombelico della funky music. Grazie
Love the black princess on the Stage..OMG...she really jammed out..James did his thing naturally, but a black woman jamming is poetry in motion....REAL recognize...
Brother never really got his props, James Brown was truly one of the greatest of all time. Unfortunately the oldie but goodie stations only know I feel good. James had dozens of great songs.
I keep telling this generation if you had real music like when I was coming up you wouldn't need that damn Zumba or all these damn operation to have a gorgeous body we stay in shape no such of thing call over weight not like today put some James on about a month trust you will see results good luck😎
