    William “Bootsy” Collins playing bass guitar and brother Phelps “Catfish” Collins playing lead guitar with Fred Wesley playing horns. James Brown had the best band in the business in 1971.

    This man is living manifestation of rythm. His live Improvisation has no end, cause he's not human, he's just pure universal energy of rythm.
    If You're able to sit and listen to James You're either paralized or boring hater. James Brown is synonym for party.

    When one sees or watches the sloppy performances of the countless garage band supergroups today and yesterday ,..stop and watch. This is perfection in precision with room for no errors or immature twanging or practice noise between songs. This man set a standard for live performance and musician discipline that ruled his era. Michael and Earth,Wind and Fire learned from this genius that precision and rhythmical repitition would entrance the audience into a state of frenzy. I am an old man and musician and believe JB was a miracle to live performance. MS.

      @yacinezaier9641 Рік тому

      I totally agree ,that discipline is legendary,it made the difference between him and others ,I think of George Clinton and Parliament whom I loved and still ,they had better music but much less discipline in my humble opinion .

    Fantastico! Io sto pensando che all'epoca nessun Italiano fosse pronto a vedere dal vivo una potenza simile e penso che per la maggiorparte del pubblico il giorno dopo sia andato a confessarsi per i pensieri peccaminosi che suscitava quest'uomo.. Poveri.. spero però che anni dopo si siano resi conto di essere stati graziati dall'essere stati presenti!

    Grandi complimenti "TheMaximumVolumeable" per aver caricato questo video..... lo trovo SENSAZIONALE. Non sapevo che James Brown fosse intervenuto in una delle puntate di "Senza Rete", spettacolo italiano dell'epoca.
    La presentazione del mitico Alberto Lupo, con la sua ferma voce baritonale, rende onore e lustro all'intervento musicale del re del funk, ed al contempo valorizza la professionalità ed il senso del gusto artistico italiane.
    Unico neo da parte nostra, la mancanza di saper "osare" artisticamente per entrare in una dimensione che potesse andare OLTRE il canone classico, abbondantemente sfruttato da noi con successo, ma da cui pochissime volte siamo usciti.
