I would recommend you watch WayV's performance video 'She A Wolf' if you haven't seen it yet.
Also, check out WayV's live band performance of 'Give Me That'.

    - My fave version of Regular is WayV's. It was already a good song for me but hearing it sang in Mandarin really leveled it up to one of my faves. The queso line will always be iconic tho
    - There is also a live performance to the Ten x Winwin Lovely Choreography and it's really goooood

I don't think people realize how amazing it is to get Ten and Winwin in the same group and getting them to do a dance duet. Winwin actually graduated from Beijing Dance Academy with first place in dance performance which is a huge deal cuz Beijing Dance Academy is the best institution for dance education in China. His background in Chinese classical dance (which is a bit like ballet) is very impressive. Then there's Ten who is as athletic as he is artistic. He excels in many sports and when he was younger he has won medals and trophies as a gymnast and competed in other countries with other international schools. Then after gymnastics he also did B-boy for a while. They have different backgrounds but both have bodies that were trained to be graceful and strong. This is actually their first try on modern dance and they did everything - made the choreo, chose the concept, their outfuts and the set. A meeting of two artistic minds.
In this dance cover you can see the poise of a seasoned classical dancer in Winwin. On the other hand Ten may not have the classical dance training but his body has been kneaded by gymnastics for movements that are a bit similar to classical dances - that, on top of his impressive body awareness and his aesthetics in the art of movement. Such a natural dancer! He brought so much life and soul to that choreo.
This dance and choreo will forever be beautiful. A classic!

Thank you for reacting to WayV... they don't get anywhere near enough the praise and attention they deserve. 🥹💚
WayV's version of Regular was supposed to come out first... but due to the Chinese governments anti-Hallyu sentiments, the units debut was severely delayed because of the restrictions placed upon them. Essentially, if they wanted to promote in China, they had to at least have the appearance of separation from their Korean counterparts... the biggest one being losing the NCT moniker. Had things gone according to plan, they would have been NCT Vision... but as it stands, WayV is an acronym for We Are Your Vision.
They also had to have a different lightstick and had to have their activities managed by a Chinese company (which is how Label V came into existence under SM).
I think one of the reasons SM stuck with Regular, even though it had already debuted with 127 by that point, was to show that WayV was a part of NCT, without saying as much. However, they vastly underestimated a large portion of the fanbase's ability to make the connection (even with their lightstick being the the same color scheme and same packaging, and their greeting being similar, etc... 😑), and as a result WayV was treated as different and less than by a portion of the fandom for a long time (particularly by K stans).
Finally with NCT2020, fans were shown definitively that WayV was every bit a part of NCT... yet sadly, even today there are some who still ignore them.
One of Lee SooMan's biggest goals in life as founder of SM, was to crack open the Chinese market. It's counterintuitive to think they'd be trying to "sabotage" them at debut.
WayV has had soooo many setbacks that were not within their control, such as the pandemic hitting only a year after debut, which effectively ceased their ability to travel to and promote in China effectively for a long time... and some hits that absolutely have SM to blame, such as their handling of Lucas' unfortunate situation. 😤😡🤬
Plans are forever shifting due to unforseen circumstances... blame SM for not effectively adapting, but saying they're "sabotaging" their own artists makes literally no sense when the end goal is to make money.
