I read from a webside: Those who sincerely strive in Allah's Cause and attain ihsan in both their worship and their everyday activities will be rewarded for this excellence by being blessed by Allah (swt) with success in this dunya (life of the world). This can be seen in our history, in our Golden Age. The Muslims of that time attained ihsan in their rituals and in their other activities. Allah rewarded this ihsan with ihsan - the excellence in this dunya that we read about - the amazing art, architecture, philosophy, medical advances, etc. This hit me, just wanted to share.

i think the thoughts might have first started from thinking about our brothers and sisters in Palestine and the test they're going through vs the test the rest of us are going through + how much of a waste it is if I don't commit 110% percent to all the opportunites I have when those in other places around the world would actually be infuriated because we still don't understand the value of the position we have in life. when it's the day of judgment and we're told your brothers and sisters had everything taken from them and this is how they behaved and carried themselves... you were given everything; how did you carry yourself??

Think about it this way. It's only difficult to lead a life of discipline at the beginning. There are many bad habits to quit and new ones to adopt. Go through a bit of discomfort now, and you will feel freedom. You will not chase things just because others are. You will have no FOMO and you will feel healthy and active and energetic and enthusiastic. Things will keep on getting better. The best time is now. Don't sacrifice so much potential just for some comfort right now. Think about it: how many people keep true to such commitments? Be of the ones who do. Ensure that your friend circle is going to take you places. Good places. Most importantly, keep on making dua. I feel like people underestimate the most powerful system of all. Prayers for you.
