Maybe far away
Or maybe real nearby
He may be pouring her coffee
She may be straighting this tie!
Maybe in a house
All hidden by a hill
She's sitting playing piano,
He's sitting paying a bill!
Betcha they're young
Betcha they're smart
Bet they collect things
Like ashtrays, and art!
Betcha they're good
(Why shouldn't they be?)
Their one mistake
Was giving up me!
So maybe now it's time,
And maybe when I wake
They'll be there calling me "Baby"
Maybe.
Betcha he reads
Betcha she sews
Maybe she's made me
A closet of clothes!
Maybe they're strict
As straight as a line
Don't really care
As long as they're mine!
So maybe now this prayer's
The last one of it's kind...
Won't you please come get your "Baby"
Maybe
Gorgeous song.
Amazing!
I am trying out for an Annie play!! This was sooooo much help!!!😊
Good luck!!!😊
Very nice control playing this piece
Incrível
Might you have the sheet music for this?
This is beautiful. What key is it in?
I think it’s in B flat! And yes it is gorgeous 😍 I think this is my favorite arrangement of this song I’ve ever heard. It sounds like a lullaby.
Not sure about this version but the original is Bb.
@@ellacarlin323 The original movies piece sounded like a lullaby, Annie sang it to put the youngest to sleep.
@@Skitdora2010 oh my gosh you’re so right! Haha that’s embarrassing. I guess I didn’t really think of it as a lullaby since the lyrics are a lot more like an “I want” song for Annie, but that’s my inner Broadway nerd coming out 🤓😂
