The alternate time line is coming
I hope he isn’t trolling just for it to be some new manga or joke comedy story like jr high , a spin off side story doesn’t need to be vol 35 , it can be its own thing like lost girls
The implication of the last chapter to me is, the founding titan can't ever technically die, even if it took it a long time to regenerate or whatever. There is no reason to think we get a butterfly effect type ending, where an attack titan in the future triggers eg. Dina Fritz to eat Beertholdt or something and change the whole timeline to some different less genocidal end
So from what we know:
- It's an artbook called Shingeki Fly, and it has about 200 pages
- It will include 18 or so pages called "Volume 35", so my assumption is that only 18 actual comic pages (no info if it's a continuation)
- Chapter 139 partly redrawn (leaks say the art has been tightened up, whatever that means)
So my guess is that those 18 pages are the only manga pages included, rest of the 200 are illustrations (or all, and those 18 are completely additional to the 200). The "Volume 35" title could lead us to believe that it's directly tied to the ending, especially because of the inclusion of ch 139, but it could technically be a side story of some kind too. Some people are saying that they will add scenes for the ending in the anime, and that these extra 18 pages would be just that content added retroactively in the manga too.
I don't know what will happen, but I'm mainly interested in the artbook and I hope people won't make a huge shitstorm because of the additional pages, whatever they may be.
Volume 35 it has to be connected to the manga , makes no sense for it to be some spin off or some highschool comedy story , spin off stories like lost girls already exist , no need for it to be “vol35” if it’s not connected to the manga , I personally believe in an aoe and the 18 pages will be that or a bridge to connect it and make more sense of it , if it’s not that I hope it’s make revised ending with added content , I love how it ended with the island being destroyed and what it means , I just dislike certain scenes and hope they are changed , Ymir “loves” king fritz , imo just not good stockhold syndrome writing , “no I don’t want that” the scene can still be about mikasa just not about Eren hoping mikasa doesn’t F another dude , something like “I never wanted to hurt mikasa but had to “ would be a lot better , and “thank you Eren🥺” no need to explain this , and more explanation about the worm , and how Eren loses the worm but turned into the colossal , ended titan curse and turned everyone back but we get the idea that he couldn’t do it before cause of concentrating on the rumbling but then we get told that Eren can do that in the paths conversation with the alliance but he chooses not to take away their abilities so they have the freedom to fight , JUST HOPE ITS NOT SOME JR HIGH SHIT

Why all the rush, it will be revealed on October 4th.
It'll probably be some extra scenes for chapter 139. If Isayama fleshes out the ending a bit more and the anime fixes some of the dialogue, I could see the ending working out pretty well. They don't need to change any major character or story beats to make it work.

This, the sound director, Yuki kaji saying to wait and see, and the characters scripts in the anime being much longer than the mangas, call me crazy but i think I can't doubt AOE anymore. However if this doesn't mean anything can it please be 18 pages because i swear if this doesn't mean anything why have it take place after the anime ending 💀, all and all im kinda just done and gonna wait. Because this series has been doing way to much recently

The ending will be fleshed out. Not changed. There's no way Isayama is going to throw out his ending and there's no way that they're changing the ending given how difficult and time consuming it is to produce the AOT anime. Maybe they'll do a few minor dialogue changes or scene extensions but all the major plot and story beats will definitely stay.

Its 80 years after Erens death. 20 years Before the island is destroyed. The Survey Corp forces are at their all time peak.
The story follows a squadron of Survey Corp Airforce fighter pilots lead by Captain Ackermann a descendant of Levi and the best fighter ace the Survey Corp has ever produced. And also a badass squad of special forces soldiers lead by a descendant of Mikasa. have just started the final war with the outside forces coalition of nations that have slowly recovered and banded together to destroy them. Their imperial territories and colonies on the mainland are under attack and must be defended at all costs or connection with the mainland and any allies will be severed. All leading to a final sacrifice for some glimmer of hope (isayama ass pull magic) but ultimately culminating with the destruction of the survey corp ground and airforce and of course the bombings we see in the mangas ending.
Technically speaking if the rest of the world had B2 stealth bombers 100 years after Erens death then the survey corp likely had an airforce of their own. Let me get a manga where an Ackerman fighter ace destroys half of Marleys modern surface fleet at sea while easyly out manuevering their escort pilots then getting into real fights with Marleys top aces. 😅
