Happens to the best of us! You'll get that Master Juri soon haha. I've found myself playing pretty reactive as Juri lately, especially against Bison, letting him get himself into trouble, then pushing pressure and Oki where appropriate. Granted, against a wiz like Broski it's not that simple.

I really think people need to calm down with the week 1 nerf requests for Bison already lmao. He's made to be a character with obvious strengths and weaknesses. His defensive options are horrible as all of his super options lose to meaty light pressure, his anti airs are pretty slow and will lose to strong jump normals when pressed early like Ken's jump heavy punch or dive kicks, and his normals are pretty stubby and slow. He does look like a very good character, but I just don't see him being that oppressive of a character that he's already better than Luke, Deejay, Chun-Li, Ken, Rashid, Akuma, Blanka and needs nerfs?

His supers losing to meaty jab is not nearly enough to balance it out it's a non issue, he has just as good cr.HP anti air as most of the cast, while he can combo into super with his air to air. I don't know what game you are playing but his normals are most definitely not stubby, he has a very long cr.lp. At least characters like jamie need to spend bar on drive rush to get the amount of +frames he gets for free. His scissors needs to not push back like it does so it can be punished when spammed like it is currently, and his scaling on his combos needs to get in line with the rest. Idgaf that you need the bomb to get 8k, its too fucking much. He has aki's mechanic yet aki needs to spend half her meter to do decent combo damage while he doesn't. Nobody asked for nerfs for the previous 4 DLC characters, because they were designed balanced while they went completely overboard with him.

The problem with scissor kick is there is no obvious counter play. You can di it or neutral jump if u have the read(not on reaction) . And u can get a jab punish on it if youre lucky. And the problem with the jab punish is u cant link into crouch mk for a drive rush after cause hes alwasy just to far. And if ur jab happens to miss(more often than not) youve lost your turn. For a move that skips neutral,combos on counter hit and punish counter ,dodges low, does drive gauge damage, restands for a 50 50 , is safe on blck prrtty much and spaces bison out enough so u cant take your turn back and is not also a charge move so u can't even thats the penalty hes taking for having such a good move. I mean who let capcom cook?😂
people rarely ever try stuffing scissors instead of trying to interact with them after the fact. They have always been designed to incentivize players to find the safest spacing to make them harder to interact with them, especially in this game where they are all punishable by jab (frame data wise), and you can't make them safer by spending meter. I would experiment with crouch jabs, and when you get more comfortable, you can try medium punch for a bigger combo. It sounds counterintuitive at first because scissors are quite fast for what they do, but stuffing them is better than blocking them for drive gauge depletion, or getting hit by them and getting pressured harder. You already came up with 2 great answers to scissors, but don't just stop there. The more ways you can interact with scissors, the more ways Bison players have to think about using them differently, and if you're solid on your punishes, he may have to stop them altogether.

And medium punches are normally 6 -7 frames but scissor kick is -5 at most so they can't punish it either. Personally I'd reduce the push back so u can get a jab punish on it more consistently

First off, did that Juri plug? What a scumbag. They need to patch this character. I have been playing Bisons for hours yesterday and he was oppressive. You can feel his tools. His movement is insane, his drive rush is insane, his damage is insane, and M Scissors gave me a nightmare. I was up until 3 am trying to figure out how to beat this character. This is the only character I have played against in this game where I felt helpless for a while. That said, I am a permanent Diamond scrub and have no real understanding of how characters should be constructed in SF. If it were NRS/Tekken/Arcsys I would say this with my chest.

I did wakeup Kikosho when a Bison player did psycho crusher for okizeme and it hit me out of it…..that combined with everything else….I’m thinking they went a bit overboard.
I struggled for the last few months getting to 14k and eventually 15k lp with the characters i main. Today i bought all the DLC characters, labbed 0.5 Bison combos and placed in Diamond. This character is stupid man.

DI is your friend. If they get to comfy, throwing M scissors around like it's nothing, eating a full DI punish will make them a bit more cautious.
