I love Ping Woods. I bought the 5 Wood and adjusted the loft to make it a strong 4 Wood. I then bought the 7 Wood and 9 Wood. Frankly I cannot imagine better woods. Here's to Ping ! Incredible job!
How about doing a video using the ping g425 showing a 5wood, 3hybrid, and 3iron and describing which one is easier to hit and better to play for the average golfer.
Used to play a 4 Wood instead of 3W off the deck. Now its 5W and 7W all day because of the fantastic adjustability of the Ping insert. You get full range as well as lie adjustment. Couple that with the SFT option for those who need it, they are at the top of the fairway wood versatility universe with distance and forgiveness. Tough to beat except for perhaps the acoustics, but after all, it is a Ping and doesn't disappoint if your a Ping audiophile :)
I just got the LST fairway and blown away. I matched it up with the Rogue 80 stiff. I can go after it as hard as I want and it finds the fairway 80% of the time. Worst case scenario is the first cut. Never had a fairway wood this easy to hit!
I really appreciated this video. I think you illustrate a very important juncture we are at with how to fill the gap between driver or 3-wood and long irons. I am considering the Ping 7 wood Max. I am going to be 80 in two weeks. Have played golf for 59 years. Handicap 16 to 18, play tees ranging from 6100 to 6800 yards. Am working hard to improve swing speed and pivot, normally make good contact. Have played forged blades for years, so my irons have very weak lofts. 7-iron is 35.5 degrees, 6-iron 32 degrees. In terms of carry, at the range using range balls, my 7-iron is 135 yards (but am beginning to get up to 140 with warmer weather and hard work on swing speed and pivot), 6-iron 145, 5-iron 155 and 4-iron 165. Sometimes I can carry the 4 iron 170 with a premium ball, warm weather, no wind or a little help. I have a 3-iron, but really at my speed can't get much more out of it than my 4-iron. Even had a 2-iron, which is just a curiosity now. Thus, after the 4-iron, I have a 19 degree utility club, a 19 degree 5-wood, and a 15 degree 3-wood. The 3-wood I can carry 185-190, so with roll it's useful. Ten years ago it was my 215 yard club, but that's age. I don' t use the 5-wood much these days, it's a Sonartec NP-99 with an Aldila R/S flex shaft designed with Nick Price's quick transition swing in mind, so not really the club for me. I can carry it 175+ with a perfect hit, but it's hard work and not reliable. I have been using the utility club for a lot of approach shots and par 3-s. It is easier to hit than the 5-wood, but still takes some work. So, to get to the point, I have been watching videos like yours advocating for the 7-wood as a good option to fill that gap between 4 iron and 3-wood, or even driver. This week I asked at my driving range if they happened to have a 7-wood demo. They had just one, a Ping Max 7-wood with a senior shaft. On my driver I use either a regular or a stiff shaft, Graphite Design Tour AD IZ 5 R1 or 6 S, alternating depending on how I feel, so the senior shaft was a bit whippy. But like you, I found this Ping Max 7-wood incredibly easy to hit and launch high. My range has a green across water with the pin 177 to 180 yards. Can't tell you how hard and frustrating it can be at my level and distance to land a shot on that green and see it stop. My 4-iron will usually carry to the edge of the water just short of dry land. My longer clubs can reach, but it's work. So my eyes opened wide as saucers when I saw this 7-wood launch high like a giant 9-iron and land bang on the green and stay on the green. Not every shot, but there were 2 and 3 in succession, not just one lucky perfect shot. So I am suddenly thinking that with this 7-wood, I can take the 3-iron, 19 degree utility club and 19 degree 5 wood out of my bag. One club in place of three. My objective with the 7-wood is to have a club that is easy to hit consistently and will launch high and carry 175 yards with a steep descent angle that will make the ball stop. My drives carry about 205 and with roll total 225-235. So the 175 will get me on to a fairly long par 4 of about 400 yards (though I will still have to play the 440 yard monsters as if they were par 5s), and will also get me on to the green on a number of par 3s that often seem to average 185-190 yards. The pro I go to agrees that these new 7-woods should be in more bags. But he is frustrated that despite asking for demo clubs, he is usually just given 3 woods with senior shafts. It seems the average male player here has still not caught on to the advantage of 7-woods, thinks of them as sissy clubs for ladies and old men. And a major drawback is price. These fairway woods cost $300, nearly as much as a driver. So before I buy one, I would definitely like to go through a fitting trying out different shafts, and also compare the Ping Max with other 7-woods by the likes of Callaway, TaylorMade, Titleist, XXIO or Tour Edge. But going somewhere else for a fitting will cost $150. So far, no one on You Tube has done a comparison test of 7-woods by 5 or 6 different manufacturers. I may just have to bite the bullet and buy the Ping Max 7-iron with the stock Regular flex shaft that they have at my range. If I do that, be assured that your video will have played a key role in my decision. Thank you.
great review..i today was fitted for a PING G425 Max Driver / 5 wood / 7 wood....all i gotta say is WOW...soooooo forgiving and straight as an arrow......i am 56 years old at 5'7 and was fitted into the ALTA CB regular shafts minus 1/2 an inch on each club.... was hitting driver 250 carry roll out to 270 average...very happy with that...hitting the 5 wood 220 carry and roll out to 235....can't wait to get them....cheers all from Canada...
I purchased the G410 fairway wood last year and love it...Looking to add a G425 hybrid this year. They do get up in a hurry....Love your videos keep up the good work....
Based on your info I bought the 5 wood. At 69 I’m not hitting my 3 wood as well this year. Lost confidence in it off tee and from fairway. Until I saw your video I was shopping for new 3 wood. Turns out I needed the extra loft and shorter shaft a 5 wood. The ping 5 wood is fantastic. Killing it off the tee. So the ping 5 replaced my 3 wood. Adds a real confidence boost to the one part of my game that was lacking this year. Great feel at contact as well. You have great insight. Thanks. Grateful new subscriber.
Waiting to be gap tested with my new i500s , cancelled 3 times ( lock down) can see a gap in my bag the gap in between lockdowns around the 5 wood distance will definitely give these a look in a fitting, currently go from a 3 crossover to my 3 wood
I keep waffling on purchasing the 9 wood. I don’t necessarily need for the bag but I love higher lofted woods and being able to set it up to 25 degrees of loft is just so tempting
Your reviews have become some of my favorite on UA-cam. Like yourself, I am a huge PXG devotee. Being based in New York City, I admire the courses you play across the pond. Once the lockdown subsides, I will be making a v-line to Scotland for a proper round of 18. Cheers
Hi Jason, have you tried Shennecossett in CT ? Its not quite a British links but its the nearest of the few I've played in the US. Its worth a go if you're in the area, its a muni but its a Donald Ross course.
I use the Ping G410 5 metal and love it. Like you, I much prefer a shallow face FW metal versus a deep face, it's so much easier to get airborne from the turf. I don't know what would ever replace my G410, it's that good. I guess I will need to demo the G425.
Andy, you promised some merchandise like bobble / peak hats etc, could you declare when and where they will be available / site for purchase to support your cause? Love the review, totally sold on Ping so G425 is high on my list, looks so good. Leaning towards 1-7 wood for my 2021 bag then 5-LW plus putter. Can't wait till suitable fitting open post lock-down to determine my lie / loft / shaft / weighting etc configuration. That said, equally impressed with Mizuno offering but not yet tested any of their clubs. Should be a good showdown, I don't care about the cost just need reliable and repeatable performance.
Picked up a pre-owned G425 today. It’s a fairway 5 wood Max. They didn’t have a 7 instock. Still looking. I hit the Ping 5 fairway after hitting the Stealth. The Ping gave me more confidence.
I am not surprised. The Ping is easier to hit. I also bought the 5 and adjusted it down to 16 degrees making it a strong 4 Wood. Works awesome. Then I added the 7 and 9 Woods in the series. Love em !!!
In November the T300 iron went in the bag, this week I went for a custom fitting for driver, FW5 and H4 and Ping G425 was the winner with the Alta CB stiff shaft. Now I just have to wait to get them delivered 🤓😃
got fitted for the g425 sft 7 wood with Alta distazna shaft as swing speed slow due to shoulder injury, should be here next week, cant wait , thanks for great review, greetings from Ireland
That's it, as soon as this blasted lockdown is over I'm off to see your mates in Chester to treat myself to a PING G425 Fairway Wood! It's a club that I have always struggled to hit off the deck and I'm hoping that even I will be able to get it airborne with a decent flight. Whether it's a 3 Wood turned up or a 5 Wood turned down will be decided at the fitting I suppose.
@@TheAverageGolfer lol now we don't want to be losing you Subscribers do we and I'm sure that the Karsten family would be running for cover watching me hack away at trying to get their fairway woods airborne! But I will get my nasal and ear hair trimmed, just in case 👴🤣
Hi Bandit. I ended up just keeping the 5 Wood in the series instead of the 3 Wood. I found the 5 a lot easier to hit although I did okay with the 3. So....then I took the 5 Wood and adjusted the loft down to 16 degrees making it a strong 4 Wood. It works great !!!!! Then I added the 7 and 9 Woods all with senior flex shafts. Its turned out to be a great combination in the bag.
A hat-trick on the 17th !! Nice one , the lost one may be in a rabbit hole !! That woods look great , no turbos and nice & shallow , definitely going to try these out and sort the gapping out at that end of the bag , for once and for all 👍
Thanks for the great vdo, from Thailand. Just got my 7wood 425. Being custom shafted for Fujikura fw-40 Evolution Speeder VII with the longer shaft, to match my G400 3wood. The 7 is an absolute secret weapon like you suggested. The ball flight was super high off the deck and too easy to hit even! Thanks again.
I've ordered the 3 and 5. I'm OK with a 4 iron off the tee, don't use it off the deck. so not sure I'd need a 7 wood. I do have them already in G410 and love them.
Thanks Andy, it is so good to view a review when your swing is similar to mine and not judging it up against a professional Great work and also just purchased a 9 wood Ping
Wow I've never considered a 5w or 7w maybe I should rethink my set up, I used to play a 5w when I first started the game many years ago, it was actually my favourite club in the bag, easy to hit straight and felt solid
I had the G 400 series. I enjoyed the woods. Ping's for me are much easier to hit then other makes. I love the new G 425 Max series. I added the 5 & 7 Woods.
I Have recently bought the Ping 425max driver & i love it. Considering buying the 425 fairway woods, after watching this video think i will purchase. Thank you.
here are the 5 things you need for a happy life: 1. a Texas BBQ sauce 2. a tall woman with a Texas accent 3. Mizuno irons 4. Ping shallow-faced fairway woods 5. daily golf content from the Average Golfer
I am still using my Taylormade firesole 7 wood (the love of my life). As I can no longer get a midsize grip for it I am looking for a replacement. If there are no turbulators, I will give these a try.
Just watched your last vlog come up to bonnie Scotland Andy we will all pay to golf with you mate you would be very welcome tell people when your coming and the whisky will be flowing all day f the golf your becoming a legend up here everybody talks about your vlogs
Very tough choice on how to blend the Ping Hybrids and Fairway Woods to bridge the space between a 6 iron and the driver. I've never been able to hit a 3 wood off the deck. I'd appreciate any suggestions.
I cannot hit a driver, so I primarily use my 4 iron (Mizuno HM Pro). I can whack it a fair way, but sometimes there are a few duffs so I wanna use a wood. Went to try the G425 driver and 3 wood at the range. Again, I couldn't hit the driver (need a lesson), but the 3 wood was a sick joke. Off the tee it was flying, so I put it on the deck and had the same result. It's a damn cheat code. Need to start saving ASAP.
Out of interest, what shaft did you have in each wood? I’ve tried the 5 wood in a 65grm shaft but thought it was too heavy for me. But the ball flight was brilliant. Great off the tight links fairways of Aberdovey!! I will definitely buying these clubs.
I got the 3 wood g425 and never hit it off the ground better. I couldn't hit the sim2 max straight. The G425 went straight and far! I landed on the green from 240 yards off the fairway. Never have even come close to that before. The 3 hybrid is just as good. Best 2 clubs I've ever hit in my life. Re driver: I preferred the Sim2 Max driver but I decided to go the G425 driver for consistency. Still goes long but a little easier to control. The ping is not as hot off the face and not as far but feels more controllable so far. The sound of the Ping driver does not sound that good. It sounds like downer compared to the Sim2 Max which sounds amazing.
Just grabbed the five wood, such a tight dispersion on the simulator. Decided to skip the 3 wood in the bag for the time being, i LOVE the G425 Driver as well, had one of my best days off the tee the other day, I was dead set on Sim 2's when I started shopping but the Pings are just so damned consistent.
5w and 7w are definitely on the possible list for when we come out of lock down. At moment it is a choice between Ping and Mizuno. The key for me will be whether I can shape shots with them
Strange launch data on the 5....... it would be interesting to compare the 3W lofted up 1.5 to the 5 W lofted down 1.5. I have never got on with a 3W but I love my 5W. You make them look like easy clubs to hit! Like others, I hope you test the Mizuno’s as well.
I got the 5w and absolutely love it, very easy to hit off the deck and get up in the air. I tried the 3w but could only hit it off the tee and struggled with it off the deck. Really like the low profile face and slightly bigger head compared to the g410 which gives you more confidence at address.
@@TheAverageGolfer yup that’s why I just use the 5w as my 3w haha but also considering the 7w and replacing my hybrid after your other video post and getting better peak height to land softer on approach shots. I also sent you a message/comment about the es21 mizuno wedges. Here in Bangkok, Thailand they offer them in lower lofts 50 & 52. and a chrome finish option (I think because in Asia maybe). Great content and videos!
Kevin, try adjusting the 5 Wood down to 16 degrees. That will make it a strong 4 Wood. Because its still a shorter shaft then the 3 Wood it works awesome and is easier to hit . It's worked wonders for me.
same question I asked about irons do they feel and sound better than the 410's surprised you said you played the 410 3 wood as when you reviewed them you didn't like the feel or sound keep up the good work mate
These seem to be great fairway woods for consistency and high flight. Maybe not the longest but I'd take a smaller dispersion and confidence knowing my long approach won't fall massively short if I strike it low. The spinsistency really seems to work based on all the videos I've seen comparing these to the g410
I just ordered the 425 Max Driver, 3 and 5 wood. The 3 wood just arrived today, but I think I will wait until the other arrive next week to take them out to the range and test them out.
I'm considering these and Mizuno ST-Z, but since Mizuno don't have a 7-wood and you have given Ping 7-wood raving reviews. I tend to lean towards the Ping
Hi there, good idea to promote the woods. Some 2-3 years the 7W was my longest club cause of a terrible slider with the longer, but the7w went really straight and long. Lately i got the Ping driver and last the 3w ping G410, this one worked fantastic, looked beautiful and flat and gave a lot of confidence. Do you think or have tested if the G425 is better in any way?? Almost cannot imagine ... keep up your great work.👌🏻
Try using a stiffer shaft than you think you need. If your a regular flex, try it in a stiff shaft and a slightly heavier shaft. If you use a stiff flex, go extra stiff.
Andy another fantastic video these clubs look amazing. In your opinion if you use the 410s in any of these woods is it worth swapping to the 425s. Keep up the great work mate👍⛳️💪🥇
@@TheAverageGolfer I’ll be looking out for your review of them.. the TXG boys just posted a direct head to head of these 2 yesterday.. they are both amazing.. I’m going to have to wait until next year for these , i need a hip replacement surgery later this fall/winter..
I would say you are an above average golfer! Really enjoy your reviews. Have actually ordered a few single clubs based on your reviews as whilst I got fitted for irons and Driver, I quite like to play around with my hybrids and woods. Like another poster, I find the pro reviews a bit irrelevant for me as they always test the low spin clubs which I am unlikely to buy.
As soon as the lockdown is over I’m getting fitted! I’m an ‘Average Golfer’ at best so I’m sure the 7 wood would be a cracking addition to the bag. I might even go for the 3 and the 5 woods. Cheers For the vid Andy.
Ping needs to hire this man immediately. With a nice signing bonus for what he's already done for them.. my brother got me into ping and I'm damn glad he did.
Probably gonna end up with a G425 7 wood also. I have a SIM 5 wood that is an absolute rocket launcher but I need something between 235 and 205 where my 5W and 4H is that'll fly high and land soft.
With all these new equipment reviews just lately there's going to be a massive rush for custom fit sessions when they lift lockdown Andy.. Traded my 4-iron for a G410 7-wood last year and wished I'd done so much sooner!
Have the G425 MAX 5 & 7 wood in my bag fitted to my specs and they are absolutely amazing. So easy to hit, forgiving and look fantastic. I couldn’t fault these clubs in anyway
Hi, I've just purchased the 425Max driver and 3 wood. I used them both yesterday for the first time and found that the 3 wood face has marked with an impression of the ball!! I only used it twice in the round and both times I have a clear impression of the ball dimples on the club face. The driver was used 14 times and is perfect. I tried to remove the marks with car polish with no success. Did you have similar issues?
I love Ping Woods. I bought the 5 Wood and adjusted the loft to make it a strong 4 Wood. I then bought the 7 Wood and 9 Wood. Frankly I cannot imagine better woods. Here's to Ping ! Incredible job!

Love em !!!
Great video, I've got the 425 driver and 7 wood on order. After watching this I went straight to look up the shipping date again!
I am in the market for a 3 wood but will have to look at 5 and 7 as well now!!
I will be ready and waiting with the camera mate 👍
@@josephdubiel7129 Great, glad that they worked so well for you👍👍
A hat-trick on the 17th !! Nice one , the lost one may be in a rabbit hole !!
That woods look great , no turbos and nice & shallow , definitely going to try these out and sort the gapping out at that end of the bag , for once and for all 👍
It is something I also need to sort
Thanks for the great vdo, from Thailand. Just got my 7wood 425. Being custom shafted for Fujikura fw-40 Evolution Speeder VII with the longer shaft, to match my G400 3wood. The 7 is an absolute secret weapon like you suggested. The ball flight was super high off the deck and too easy to hit even! Thanks again.
Ordered the max with the tensei orange shaft. Can’t wait to try it. Interested in the STZ 5 wood also
Good choice
I've ordered the 3 and 5. I'm OK with a 4 iron off the tee, don't use it off the deck. so not sure I'd need a 7 wood. I do have them already in G410 and love them.
You will be very happy I’m sure
My old M4 just cracked and I am pretty certain the 14.5 will be the number one choice for a great replacement.
Always liked Ping, recently acquired a 5w ex-demo, love it so would look at other options
Patrick Reed called and said that lost ball must have "plugged!" I'm not a fan of their fairways. But did just grasp the Max driver! Loving it!
Just got fitted and that’s what they suggested. Excited for them thx for a preview. Love the videos Cheers
Looking good! Can't wait to see your thoughts on the new Mizuno fairways as well... Maybe a comparison there too?
Coming soon!
I love Ping woods. I'll be checking them out. Still gaming ping G400's
Thank you.
Just bought the g425 hybrid. This ping range is superb, unbelievably forgiving and the design just awesome
Glad you like it!
here are the 5 things you need for a happy life:
1. a Texas BBQ sauce
2. a tall woman with a Texas accent
3. Mizuno irons
4. Ping shallow-faced fairway woods
5. daily golf content from the Average Golfer
Sounds like a great life Tom 😂
Agree. Got them all except the Texas woman (mine is Missouri, although I lived in Texas for 10 years.).
I am still using my Taylormade firesole 7 wood (the love of my life). As I can no longer get a midsize grip for it I am looking for a replacement. If there are no turbulators, I will give these a try.
Great review. The Mizuno from what I've seen so far could be a contender.
used to have a 7 wood years ago and it was one of the best clubs in my bag, the ball would stop on a six pence.
Time for another?
@@TheAverageGolfer at some point yes, not just right now
Just watched your last vlog come up to bonnie Scotland Andy we will all pay to golf with you mate you would be very welcome tell people when your coming and the whisky will be flowing all day f the golf your becoming a legend up here everybody talks about your vlogs
Haha that sounds like a great day William and a great compliment thxs
quite tempted by the seven wood and crank it down to 19° so I've got a 200 yard club. great stuff Andy keep it coming
Very tough choice on how to blend the Ping Hybrids and Fairway Woods to bridge the space between a 6 iron and the driver. I've never been able to hit a 3 wood off the deck. I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Video incoming
My only fairway wood is a Ping G30 3-Wood. At 69, I still swing hard, but think of replacing to 3-Wood with a Ping G25 5-Wood.
5 woods are the way forward.
5w and 7w are definitely on the possible list for when we come out of lock down. At moment it is a choice between Ping and Mizuno. The key for me will be whether I can shape shots with them
Not tried the Mizuno yet but great reviews so far
Strange launch data on the 5....... it would be interesting to compare the 3W lofted up 1.5 to the 5 W lofted down 1.5. I have never got on with a 3W but I love my 5W. You make them look like easy clubs to hit! Like others, I hope you test the Mizuno’s as well.
Very strange, I never looked at the full data but I assume I must have thinned one and that was a bit of an outlier that affected the averages!
I got the 5w and absolutely love it, very easy to hit off the deck and get up in the air. I tried the 3w but could only hit it off the tee and struggled with it off the deck. Really like the low profile face and slightly bigger head compared to the g410 which gives you more confidence at address.
I think that is why most golfers will suit the 5 or 7 option
Good point and something I rarely do......club was so good I put up with the sound issue
Got fittet for hybride 5 & 4, 5 wood and driver... and 3 wood later this year..? 😉 Love them, looks and feel!
These seem to be great fairway woods for consistency and high flight. Maybe not the longest but I'd take a smaller dispersion and confidence knowing my long approach won't fall massively short if I strike it low. The spinsistency really seems to work based on all the videos I've seen comparing these to the g410
I am looking at these. I am looking at the 5 and 7 wood.
I have a ping 7 wood.. Love it.
I just ordered the 425 Max Driver, 3 and 5 wood. The 3 wood just arrived today, but I think I will wait until the other arrive next week to take them out to the range and test them out.
Great video! I have the g410 5 wood sft.... I’d love to see a comparison against the 425 5 wood
Great suggestion!
Do a 7 wood review, top 4 or 5 manufacturers? What about 9 woods ?
I'm considering these and Mizuno ST-Z, but since Mizuno don't have a 7-wood and you have given Ping 7-wood raving reviews. I tend to lean towards the Ping
I havent tried the St fairways as yet
@@TheAverageGolfer another thing for your avid fans to look forward too... :)
Yes I will be giving them a look
Based on reviewers like you they are moving to top of my list.
Very positive
I have the G425 Driver, 3 & 5 Wood and the 5 Hybrid! Best combination ever!
What do you play off?
I have the 5 but considering getting the 3 too
Great review again look a great club will look at these along with the other great new options!
Andy as a % in your opinion how much better are they than the g410 fairways, I game the 3 and 5 currently.
Minimal Keith, minor improvements and not necessarily about performance
Hi there, good idea to promote the woods. Some 2-3 years the 7W was my longest club cause of a terrible slider with the longer, but the7w went really straight and long. Lately i got the Ping driver and last the 3w ping G410, this one worked fantastic, looked beautiful and flat and gave a lot of confidence. Do you think or have tested if the G425 is better in any way?? Almost cannot imagine ... keep up your great work.👌🏻
Great coarse review Andy. Gone for the 5W and 9W going great suits my game. Cant for the life of me use Hybrids, they go left, left and more left.
Try using a stiffer shaft than you think you need. If your a regular flex, try it in a stiff shaft and a slightly heavier shaft. If you use a stiff flex, go extra stiff.
Normal sunny conditions, did you film this last summer 😊
Haha always sunny in Conwy
Looking at the pings instead of TM m6 5 wood & sim2 driver.... 🤔
Got a 7w. Love it.
I believe I could definitely see that Ping 7 wood in my bag. Those are some nice looking fairway woods.
I think so too!
Looking at ping 425 or ping 710 not sure because i have high handicap.? Love ur videos
Andy another fantastic video these clubs look amazing. In your opinion if you use the 410s in any of these woods is it worth swapping to the 425s.
Keep up the great work mate👍⛳️💪🥇
Definitely either these or Mizuno ST-X for me !
Not tried Mizumo as yet
Worth trying as they are very imprssive
That design is almost the same as the old Adams tight lies.
I bought one for exactly that reason !
.......only different.........
The design is super special
They look like the Orlimar clubs of yesteryear with the shallow heads. I'll have to give them a try out 👍
Not that familiar with the Orlimar clubs
I think they were the Trimetal series of woods Andy
Ping needs to hire this man immediately. With a nice signing bonus for what he's already done for them.. my brother got me into ping and I'm damn glad he did.
I am 1000% considering a 5 wood...to fill the gap between my 3 hybrid and my 3 wood.
Have heard nothing but great reviews for these woods. Really looking forward to try that 7 wood. Will be buying 100%. Great videos mate 👍
Awesome! Thank you!
Probably gonna end up with a G425 7 wood also. I have a SIM 5 wood that is an absolute rocket launcher but I need something between 235 and 205 where my 5W and 4H is that'll fly high and land soft.
I wish I could afford the Ping woods. I have tried them and love them.
Great video! I saw your review of the Maverick Max 3 wood, you really liked it. How does this club compare to that? Thanks
i played taylormade for years. Now that I was allowed to play the g425 hybrid and also ordered the fairway woods;-)
With all these new equipment reviews just lately there's going to be a massive rush for custom fit sessions when they lift lockdown Andy..
Traded my 4-iron for a G410 7-wood last year and wished I'd done so much sooner!
I think it will be the way I go
Andy great video . I’m going to look at these. Give them a try
Please do!
I can't wait wait to try these, they look amazing and performance looks 👍🏼
thanks for great review, looking for forgiving 7 wood for slow swing speed player, any recs? appreciate advice.thanks in advance
Clubs are looking better than ever could you do a test comparison against G400 I wonder ??
G400, best driver ever
Have the G425 MAX 5 & 7 wood in my bag fitted to my specs and they are absolutely amazing. So easy to hit, forgiving and look fantastic. I couldn’t fault these clubs in anyway
Hi, I've just purchased the 425Max driver and 3 wood. I used them both yesterday for the first time and found that the 3 wood face has marked with an impression of the ball!! I only used it twice in the round and both times I have a clear impression of the ball dimples on the club face. The driver was used 14 times and is perfect. I tried to remove the marks with car polish with no success. Did you have similar issues?
how do they compare to the new PXG 0211 range.
Similar but I would perhaps lean toward the Ping
Also interested in this as I am expecting a package with a 0211 fairway.
interesting. thanks for the replies. PXG had gone mad with their new prices :0
Andy 425 or 0211 for an older slower swinging player. I would appreciate your thoughts.
