And what is the new catch with this vs. Hololens and some other previous products? I think Apples idea of using virtual large 2D-screens etc. is far more useful in real life for engineers and designers. Maybe this headset could be used the same way?

I’m excited that Sony is willing to make a headset exclusively for designers. But what is up with vr commercials being way more polished than the actual experience. Make the whole video from how it looks in the headset not how it looks in Final Cut Pro lol.
@@wizzenberry It honestly doesn’t matter how well the headsets sell without proper consumer support. The VR titles in Pay$tation store are lackluster/possible shovelware as it is. What it needs and more AR/MR/XR headsets should be targeting is the multimedia industry in general, not solely work industry tools and such. THAT’S the mistake(s) Micro$oft is making with HoloLens because a good chunk of that industry doesn’t really need it so they don’t want it. Honestly, AR/MR/XR could really take gaming to a far superior level beyond smart phone boarders and such. VR is just 1 limited layer where you have to stay generally stationary that got us to where we are today. Except half the major reputable publishers/developers seem to know what to do with it while building all their 3D open words, live service games, etc.

There is upcoming vr headset from Sony specialised for architecture and industrial use.
That one Sony will let you connect to a PC, why not the PSVR2?
