However, given the show's history for being brought back let's not write anything off.
All new Ripper Street series 4 will launch exclusively on Amazon Prime Video in January with an explosive feature length episode. David Threlfall (Shameless) and Matthew Lewis (Harry Potter) join series regulars Matthew Macfadyen, Jerome Flynn, Adam Rothenberg, MyAnna Buring and Charlene McKenna for the highly-anticipated new series.
Amazon stepped in to save Ripper Street in early 2014, following outcry from fans when the show was cancelled after two series. Series three launched exclusively for Amazon Prime Members in the UK in November 2014, with series one and two made available for unlimited streaming.
When Ripper Street series three launched on Prime Video, it was streamed more than any other TV show on the service.

Such a deep, interesting, amazing show!
Season 3 ending was the happy one where everyone is settled and pleased. Season 5 ending was dark and disturbing as Edmund Reid struggles with his loneliness and isolation as all his friends are gone and he's left with the horrific memories of Jack the Ripper killings..
Superlative series. One of my new favorite programs. I've never seen a show more interested in the form and power of language. It reads/sounds like a perfect cross between Shakespeare, the King James Bible and a modern, much much better CSI. Flawless writing, amazing acting, awesome production design and directing. After two shows I never looked back...went through all five seasons in a matter of a couple weeks.

+Diane Morgan As long as it's a prequel i'm fine with it. I would really like to see a movie about our heroes being on the ACTUAL "Jack The Ripper" case. They could even write the whole Royal Family Conspiracy into the plot. That would be awesome!.

I just recently started watching this on Netflix and I have to say it is a excellent show. many of the faces
have been on Game of Thrones as well as other series. The acting is superb.
