I heavily recommend guiding your adventures based on a handbook miniquest, if it asks you to level up the Statue of The Seven then go around collecting Anemoculi and get chests on the way, the map is massive, so having an objective keeps you from getting too side tracked while giving enough room to freely explore the game
That was the plan until I get to AR10 to continue the story. I’m thinking maybe doing Kaeya’s quest, too? If I remember correctly that’s available for me, too!
@@FeralCabbageKaeya will give you a quest, then Amber then Lisa. You will have multiple quests (including the archon quest) so you can switch around whenever you want. But that doesn’t give good content (lol and please read my other comment or in the last video that took me like 40+ minutes so uh thanks?)
@@FeralCabbage make sure you add an email to your genshin account or else it will be very easy for someone to hack you. and make a user name and link your phone number. some people block the user name on streams and id number to prevent hackers.
If you get confused with some of the characters’ abilities and what they do, you can go into the character screen and go to the “talents” section. There, you’ll be able to read what some of their skills and ultimates/bursts do.
As an old player who got burnt out of the game around a year ago ur series has single handedly made me go back to the game. Idk, something about seeing u explore everything and being excited about it gave me nostalgia and I ended up getting back on the other day!

The letter you got from Mona (and from Ninguang in an earlier video) is just a thing that you get when a character has their birthday. You'll get a letter with some materials and a special food unique to the character, but it doesn't unlock any story elements or extra gameplay. You can see a character's birthday on their character page
A small tip: if your stamina runs out and you end up falling from great heights you can press attack and do a plunging attack to minimize fall damage, very useful to avoid poor Amber's fate lol :) This playthrough is coming along really nicely, good work and have fun!

not sure if you already know about these, but you should use sprint more often when fighting enemies :D when you sprint at just the right moment, you can actually avoid taking damage from the enemies! also, there are some things you can hit in the game like that anemo slime floating and get chests out of them! its like a small puzzle thingy that you can get rewards from :p

Barbara's ultimate is a large teamwide heal! So even if shes the one on field, everyone on the bench is auto healed by a bunch of hp! Barbara heals more the more hp she has, hope this helps
6:58 a little tip when it comes to consuming stamina when exploring- use tall characters as they climb, run, and swim faster. The tallest types of characters are adult males so you can use Kaeya :D
god i havent enjoyed a genshin playtrough from the start this much in A WHILE, you're very entertaining and your generally curious and positive attitude with everything not just in the game, but also in the comments you recieve makes me so happy, it's very wholsome for this comunity that tends to be... not very wholsome, and i appriciate it, keep it up! also! whenever you think something is too high to climb, it probably is. there's normally easyer ways you can just look at in them map, the topography is relativly easy to understand and you can plan paths better, just look for ways with no hard edges to where you wanna go!
For me I get the most enjoyment just building and playing the characters that I like, rather than who's strong or not, so you should totally just use the characters you want at any given moment if that's what you prefer, no worries! Every character are good enough, honestly! Also I hope you want to play through more or less the whole game. These are so incredibly fun to watch
I don’t know if you already know this but there is a riddle for new players: From where you begin your journey, the place where you set your first step to the new world. A little gift is waiting for you on the small islands. Take your swim and claim the treasure.
For people who are like 500+ hours into this behemoth of a game this kind of series is a joy to watch, especially since you're so interested in all the lore/npcs/world like so many of us were. As streamers who play, tend to rush gameplay and story to drive engagement numbers and they have other games they need to play at their peak (There are dedicated genshin streamers who are an exception to this but they are also 500+ hours in). Element reactions are your friend so swapping out characters and abilities will serve well. Unless... you get Razor... If you pull Razor from the banner at any point, you have (in my opinion) 'the' perfect beginners character to carry you through the first two lands, as Electro damage is very easy to deal out to anything on the world map until the 3rd land, he has the highest physical dps of standard 4 stars, he can mine any and all ores for you, and in his elemental state (Q) he can not be parried/stunned/knocked at all even by charging mitachurls... which if you play him right and slap an energy regenerating claymore on him, is all the time. If you don't, you want your elemental skills to do as many 'things' as possible. Melt. Freeze, Electro-charged, Swirl, Bloom, Crystalize (And there are even sub reactions to many of those) Mix it up in the melting pot and make those numbers and words fly! Keep up the good work.
6:50 when you run out of stamina you can press spacebar to use the glider or attack to plunge attack, so u wont take damage 10:35 you don't have to remove a character - the trial character will join the party anyway as a 5th charater in a party 23:15 statues in one region share the level, so if you go to e.g. Liyue, the staue will have level 1, but also there won't be anemoculus, but geoculus which will upgrade it 25:20 tip - leveling is pretty useful, because it upgrades mostly your atk and hp - so if enemies are too hard just level up the characters - otherwise you can just leave them as they are for now 27:30 those letters are always send when a character have a birthday, basically a gift from them to you!! :) (they later are in "gift mail box", so they wont expire like the rest of mails) 36:20 lay lines are challenges that gives you rewards - to open them you use Original Resin which refresh over time (when you open the map its in right up corner) Also you can check in character's menu in "talents" what each characters E and Q does Im not sure if you will see it, but if you do then I hope it help at least a little :) And congrats on 19K!!!
You can heal yourself by eating food in the inventory. And about the hatred the dragon felt, there is a story about it. When you meet barbatos you will know about it.
I would recommend reading your character's talents while you still have few characters. It helps with understanding what your characters can do. For example, Barbara's Q heals the whole party in one instance usually for emergency healings. Some talents are easy to understand just from looking at what it does but sometimes, talents like Barbara will make you confuse at what she just did.
About Barbara: Her E doesn't give a shield. It allows you to heal when you're attacking with Barbara Also the trials people were referring to are the ones with the 5 star characters (Lyney and Yelan). You saw it in Ep 2 but were unsure if they had spoilers or not. You should do them next episode because 5 star characters are insane to play with
It does both. It periodically heals whoever is on field for a percentage of Barbara's max HP, and if Barbara is on field it heals your entire team for a smaller amount every time she hits someone
To trigger a reaction (like melt at the beginning of the video with the cryo hilichurl) you need to have the cryo element’s icon on top of the enemy’s head, (in case of a boss it will be under his health bar), and apply some pyro to it. Your pyro attack will have the « melt » word with the damage. It’s the same idea with every other reaction. I hope this will help you ! Also thanks for this serie it’s really refreshing to see a new player enjoying the game. All the recent support we gave to you is deserved keep the good vibes you have ;)
A few tips: Enemies can't have 3 different auras at the same time. Auras are the little element symbols you see above their heads when you hit them with an elemental attack, and when a second elemental attack hits them, it'll react with the aura left on them by the first one. For example, if you do a charged shot with Amber and then immediately hit the same enemy with Xingqiu's E Skill, he's going to deal higher damage because the Hydro from his attack reacted with Amber's Pyro aura to create a Vaporize reaction. Element auras are *consumed* to create a reaction, meaning the Pyro and Hydro will disappear, leaving the enemy with no auras (in reality, they will probably have a leftover Hydro aura since Xingqiu hits twice, but you get the point). Notice that, in a Vaporize reaction, both elements destroy each other on contact. This isn't the case for every reaction. For example, Electro-Charged will allow both Hydro *and* Electro to coexist on an enemy, meaning a single Pyro attack will react with *both the Hydro and Electro auras* to create Vaporize and Overload respectively. However, there will never be a situation where an enemy has *three different element auras* coexisting - only two at most. A third element will always react with one of the two existing ones and either be consumed or consume part of the other 2 (this last part has some very fun implications in higher level team building which you'll get to explore someday). The second tip is just to remember to use Fischl's skill. Her bird will constantly apply Electro to enemies even when you switch to another character, which will allow you to experiment more efficiently with all the Electro-Charged + Cryo stuff you wanted to try out.

I just binge watched this entire series lol I’m super sleepy while I’m writing this, but I figured I’d leave a comment. The enthusiasm you show while playing this is soo cool to watch, it actually gives me the ‘first-time’ nostalgic feeling since I’m a high leveled player. A lot of youtubers play but theyre not really.. interested? Anyway, I think it’s amazing how much you seem to be genuinely enjoying it. Heres a few times now if you happen to see this! 1: shielders and healers are SUPER useful, I recommend having either noelle or barbara on your team for now! Itll make it so much easier. 2: remember not to overdo it and get burnt out! A shorter video or a break is better than you starting to genuinely dislike playing because you feel like you need to for your audience at this point. 3: using resin is pretty important since its a limited thing that refills over time, you can use it on things like bosses, leylines, and domains. 4: do the test runs in the event menu! Its easy primogems, free resources, free mora, and you just get to see how certain characters play. 5: check the talents to see what characters do! theres three attack talents, two other side talents, and one passive. you can check character mechanics in this menu! anyway, even if you might not see this, you’re doing great and I wanna follow this journey to the end if you keep going! ❤️ ❤️
I LOVE your take on teams, you focusing on story more than anything else will let you enjoy the game so much more than focusing on the Meta, and every character can get you through the game as long as you level them✨
I genuinely would be interested in seeing you deep dive into this game, like really play the story quests, build characters and take your time to enjoy everything. There are SOOO many little details, chests, areas, etc. to explore in each region! Mondstadt is a great starting place to just experiment, explore, and figure out different stuff about the game mechanics and such.
Another great episode, I love You'r enthusiasm. Small suggestion if you somehow read that comment. Work on video title, if that end up being long series, (the game currenly has around 50h of just main story) add (part x) and if you doing main story you can include that in the title. It will make easier for poeple to keep track and look for specific part of the game if they are interested in Your reaction to the story.
On deciding as to when to explore a new region/nation, I do have a few suggestions. One could first follow the storyline, then let's say you've finished an act, like in this one, you'd explore the rest of the regions that were related to the current act. After you've felt like you've explored enough of your currently unlocked regions (I don't mean 100% an area, but just that you've felt like you can come back latee), then you proceed to the next act, then repeat. Or, One could explore at most the current nation, basically, only when you're done with a nation's archon quests, then you proceed to the next nation. i.e. you explore a nation at a time alongside the Archon Quests. I dunno, I guess cause canonically, the MC only travels into the next nation after finishing the quests of the current nation. Or You could do whatever you like, I'm just giving suggestions. For me, Back in 1.0, only Mondstadt and Liyue were out (with the latter only finished a patch later, and the icy mountain you see in Mondstadt coming in 1.3, I think?), so how I played was like option 2. I did not step foot in Liyue until I finished Mondstadt's Archon Quest. I like free roaming, yes, but there's something about the game's quests leading me to a new area that I really like.
The purpose of the character mails is that it is their birthday. So everytime a character based mail pops up, it just their way of celebrating their birthday with the Traveller. It can be fanservice (the good one) in other words too. Either way, you get more free stuff (and some lore). Nothing to lose right?
The last time I laughed so hard is when someone called Aether’s braid a “rat tail”. I got back into Genshin through Starrail so I’m pretty new as well but watching you is fun. I’m still on like the 3rd ep of this but I just wanted to share as soon as I could. Exploring is definitely my favorite part of the game.
I love this series! It is so nice to see someone learning about the world and watch them making progress and you do!!! You're getting better with elemental reactions, switching from character to character while fighting and figuring out the ins and outs of this game! I'm for sure gonna keep watching and supporting! Tips: - Once you've reached the AR, do the reaction domains at lisas temple. It'll teach you a lot and give you some experience with new fighting styles. - The abyss mages are a pain to deal with. You need the right element to break their shield. Use pyro for cryo, electro for hydro and hydro for pyro. You can also freeze hydro like you did (very smart), overload pyro with Fischl or Lisa or just brute force it... - Use Lisa instead of Fischl. Fischl is great and has a good spot within Meta but if you're not so much concerned with raw damage and just want that electro charge for Xingqiu, maybe she'd be a better pick. That rule works for all reaction-based teams in early-game. Catalyst users (characters like Barbara or Lisa who just shoot their element instaed of using a sword or bow and need their skill for their element) are awesome and are gonna teach you a lot about what type of element works in what situation. - Keep! Collecting! EVERYTHING! Everything you see in the world, pick it up! Berries, flowers, mushrooms, chests, barrels and crates, CRABS... - There are blue floating ghost things flying around all over the map. Go near them and they will move slowly towards one of these broken statues you saw at the end of this vid. Follow them and keep them going until they've arrived. They'll set themselves into the statue and spawn a chest as reward for you helping them getting home! - Keep talking to the NPCs. Some of them will give you free stuff and others will actually start a side quest for you that can give you awesome and unique rewards! - When you actually want to make a character more powerful, look into their talents. They're in the same menu where you can change their weapons and artifacts. I don't remember if you need a certain AR to level them but if you can and you do it, they will get better the more you level them. However, you will need specific items to level them up so for earl-game that is not that important. Everything I wrote is just a suggestion. You have your own playstyle and it will evolve along with your progress within the story and the world. Every single Genshin-player went through the same when they strated. I mean, I remember, when I started I had no clue and still had so much fun figuring things out but a little tip here and there was allways welcom and very helpful. One last tip: Don't bother with limited wish banners for now. Most characters you can get there are from other (future) regions and to build and actually use them you need acces to specific domains (temples) for artifacts and talent materials. However, if you happen to know a character and really want them, you could pull for them and just level them once you can. I don't know if you will spend money on this game or not. You ABSOLUTELY don't have to. This game is perfectly playable if you are F2P. I mean, with Fischle and Xingqiu you allready have two solid end-game characters and with time, you are gonna collect more F2P characters to build some amazing teams! I choose to spend a little with welkins and the battle pass because those give a lot and I think a game this gorgeous and content-heavy deserves something in return but noone should feel forced to buy something. The two welkins you got as a gift are awesome (Seriously, whoever gave those, you're just the best!!!) and they will give you 90 primogems every day you log in for 2x 30 days. Together with quest rewards and boni for chests, statues and waypoints you can do a couple ten-pulls per month if you want to! I'm looking forward to the next video as allways and I wish you a wonderful journey!!! EDIT 1: Sorry for the rant, I just wrote what came to mind! EDIT 2: Grammar😅

I'd honestly loved to see you live someday playing genshin! Now here's some tips I would love to inform you: Leveling up your characters to your limit will increase your characters stats and would make your fights easier! There's tons of Great stuffs you can do if your characters are leveled and it's up to you to explore it since I dont wanna ruin ur surprises! Also, Don't forget to use the best equipment/artifacts you have for your characters! It's one of the most important stuffs for your characters to be stronger based on the passive and stats it gives! Hopefully you get to learn it... doesn't need to be fast, but slowly! As far as u get will be more complicated! Lastly, If you ever thought of comboes, hopefully you learn a good team composition someday! Not necessarily but it's the best way to just, bully the enemies xDDD *ehem freeze and hyperbloom* but you can always choose your favorite and preferable playstyle for your enjoyment!

Ok, wanted to add correction (truth). The way i gave for pronunciation is just the way i say it. I have no idea how it's actually supposed to be said as that was a random word i thought of when i needed a nickname lol. I think this word doesn't exist at least, so i'm not offending any language 7:00 Btw, after playing for 3 years i'm still not sure (mostly bc it rarely happens to me) but if you run out of stamina and start falling try pressing attack button/LMB since i think it should trigger the plunge attack which would nullify big portion, if not all, of the dmg. The downside of plunge attacks is that they lock you in an animation, so if you do them you can't move until you reach the ground.
wow i love the series so far ! save ur primogems so u can wish for characters in the future and the blue wishes u can use them because u only use them for the permanent wishing banners like the Noelle banner and the Qiqi, Mona and Keqing banner (also u can hold on Baron Bunny and Baron Crow to aim them)
Idk if anybody has told you but u see that mysterious hydro door in Monstadt? This door will be unlocked by doing mona story quest but u don’t need to know the story quest’s now at ur ar level (so in short u don’t need to worry about it now)
Here's some small but useful tips for your exploration: Plunging is a good way to reduce fall damage and increase the falling speed (note that you cant plunge when you ran out of stamina) Offering Oculis to the statues andleveling it up increase your stamina by time! Maximum is 240(?) so it'll help and save you time exploring Elemental sight is a great way to find chests and puzzles for more juicy primogems! To swim faster and safer, hold W and spam click sprint, as far from my experience Leylines are small challenges for you to earn Mora or xp books that cost Resins Resins (blue crescent on the map function) for me is the most important function for the game as you can do alot using it to grind, ofcourse its up to you to use it all but I suggest to not max it as it replenishes all the time

I swear watching your genshin videos just gives me so much happiness and I'm just in love with every single one of your reactions to discovering little things. After Fontaine's update, unfortunately, I'm not able to play Genshin anymore, as well as many others mobile users, and watching you getting excited over every single new thing is just making me feel so jealous of you, but in a good way! I really want to go back to when i first discovered Genshin, it's such an amazing game. Please, keep doing these videos, and keep enjoying your journey in this game in the way you want to! There isn't a specific way or a guide step by step to discover the game, just enjoy your time playing! But what i can say to you to make your journey in Teyvat more enjoyable, is some tips that i personally used (or wanted to use, but couldn't) in the game: - There are three types of quests: archon quests, so basically the main story plot; character quests, so the side stories about the playable characters, and also hangouts, that are the side quests for specifically 4 star characters; finally, the world quests, so quests about npc, they may seem boring and useless, but some of them are actually pretty interesting and well made. Some of them will require days to complete, others just a few minutes. Keep in mind that every quest has its own rewards, so maybe check the rewards before choosing a quest! Also, not every quest can be done in co-op, so you'll have to enjoy your story alone :( - You can unlock hangouts and character quests by doing daily missions: every 4 daily missions completed, you get a key. You can unlock 5 star characters story quests with one key, while the hangouts require more. The world quests get unlocked usually once you talk with an npc or when you simply continue the story. Archon quests unlock once you complete the previous archon quest. - [You don't need to do what i say in this paragraph, it's just a personal opinion on what i do to enjoy the game better, play however you want!] What i recommend you to do, is to complete every character quest of a region (ex: Mondstadt) before leaving it to explore another region. Also, don't explore everything right now! Your main worry should be the archon quests. You'll have much time later to explore since you need to do that to upgrade your characters. If you can't proceed with an archon quest because it's too hard, then feel free to roam around the region you're in to build your characters more and get stronger. Maybe let some friends help you with that! Also, do not explore other regions before unlocking their archon quest, just for cinematic reasons. Every region will have their own time to shine, be patient and enjoy the game as much as you can, don't be in a rush! Keep going man! I'm absolutely in love with your videos!
You may play how you like, but the second you execute a single non-optimal rotation with a non-synergistic lineup not built to my exact specifications and you lose precious seconds clearing overworld mobs then I'm blocking you and calling the cops.
For the special gift mail - it's just stored for posterity really. Kinda like archiving the "personalized" mail that characters are sending to the Traveler. There can be little canon lore bits for characters backgrounds, bits of world building, etc As this is an RPG the story aspect of characters bonds with each other is special, I guess you could say. Makes the world feel more alive.

We’re excited to follow this journey with you! As an AR 59 player, I can tell you that following your adventure handbook all the way is one of the most rewarding things ever. It goes up to level 9 if memory serves me right. There’s pages in there that’ll tell you to unlock more statutes of the seven as you complete it. I know going to places like Fontaine are so deliciously tempting rn but there’s no better feeling, than arriving to a new nation the same time as beginning it’s story. Genshin wasn’t created to be rushed but enjoyed slowly and my gosh the scenery? Never gets old. Looking forward to more of these vid- will for sure keep watching !

Hi, you will want to expand this comment. I’ll be providing tips on what will help you progress in the game, and various things you should know. If you have any more questions, I can get you a friend request for a dm. I may only be ar 38, but I have another profile on a different server at ar 48 or something. I decided to make this before I heard about the one guy who did a similar thing, so I’m not copying or trying to one-up him. I don’t ask for anything in return, this is just some help! Pull out that notebook and get started! Editor’s note: Idk how much of this is covered in the video I’ll drop the comment on, but here’s the unedited version, based off of ep 4. Hear me and rejoice! Those elemental pillars, including the torches that unlocked a chest a little while back, will be activated by an element and always lead to a chest or occasionally another puzzle for a chest. The Tab Menu IMPORTANT*** this menu, from holding down tab, allows you to easily access basically every menu that isn’t in the escape menu list by moving your cursor in the direction of the one you want. Very handy! A couple key binds you should know: L for party setup B for inventory C for characters G for tutorials. Every time you read a tutorial, you get a Primo! Your team rn should be: Xingqiu as main dps, Fishl for sub-dps and electro application (to combo with xingqiu), Amber for pyro application (Amber is basically useless, but having a pyro character on your team is extremely useful), and Barbara for healing, which brings me straight into my next subject: Barbara heals your characters. Her E ability will apply hydro and heal herself, and her ultimate ability heals all of your characters a lot. If you have any artifacts at any point with the stat of healing bonus, give it to her! Artifacts: you should go for the adventurer set on as many characters as you can. Once you progress enough, switch to the berserker set bonuses. Another thing I need to mention with these: Substats: The substats on an artifact are completely random, but the ones you should focus on the most right now relate to damage: ATK %, CRIT RATE %, CRIT DMG %, and probably Health. They’ll also have a main stat, which is the most important. The substats are listed in the description of an artifact, and the better the piece (aka the more stars it has), the more substats it will have. If you have a three star artifact with terrible substats and a two star one with good ones, always go with the two star. To go back around to your team, every character has a weapon and 5 artifact slots. You should give Xingqiu the best stuff you have, then Fishl and Barbara, and finally Amber. Keep in mind that weapons and artifacts can be leveled up by clicking enhance, and that will boost their damage a lot. Level up your characters. It won’t give stamina, but it’ll buff them significantly. Any time a weapon or character hits a certain level, it has to be ascended to get it higher, which requires you to pay various items. Also, the amount of xp and items needed to ascend and level characters is exponential, so it will increase a lot later on. BTW: Hero’s wit is the book you’ll want to use to level your characters, because it gives the most xp. If you run out, switch to the blue one. The map locks you out because you haven’t completed the Stormterror quest yet. Once that’s done, you’ll unlock the entire viewable map, save for the quest-locked areas like Tsurumi Island, Enkanomiya, and the Lower Chasm. Some more map-related things: it is extremely useful to unlock every tp waypoint possible. They’ll show on your map after you get the Statue of the Seven nearby. Stay off the icy mountain for now. Eventually in your mapwide exploration you’ll reach Statues of the Seven that are to the Geo god (your comments will spoil it; shut up, y’all!!). In the Geo area, you’ll see different (more complex) puzzles, yellow “Geoculi” that can upgrade the Statue, various new plants and ores, new monsters, and the city of Liyue, which you’ll find eventually. The entire area is referred to as Liyue and will prove to be a bit of a challenge for you. You’ll also eventually reach Sumeru, the land of Dendro, but that’s a giant comment for later. DO NOT TRY TO ICE BRIDGE TO INAZUMA we’ve all been there to try and use Kaeya to ice-bridge all the way across the massive ocean, but it DOES NOT WORK and will waste an hour of your life. Inazuma is quest-locked. Don’t spend ages breaking bushes or looking for secret chests. There are a lot of them, but they are almost never worth your time. If you adjust the dialogue volume in the Audio section of settings over and over about twenty or thirty times, you get a free achievement. I’m serious You can get that other tp point in Mondstadt by climbing the building it’s on and resting at intervals to regen Stamina. At the top is a Luxurious Chest, the best type of chest in the game (it might be precious, second best), a Radiant Spincrystal, and the tp. Don’t bother with the Archive much; Mondstadt is probably less than 1% of the entries in it, so don’t deal with it until later. Someone bought you a Blessing of the Welkin Moon, a 5-dollar item that gives you primos every day for a month. NEVER spend primos to buy Acquaint Fates. Always wish on one of the rotating banners (right now the people on are Lyney and Yelan, and I would go for Lyney if I were you, you need Lyney more than Yelan). The Standard banner has all the four stars in a pool and a handful of five stars that aren’t nearly as good as the ones on rotation. In addition, the five stars on the Standard banner can also be drawn from the rotating ones, but not the other way around. Spend primos by opening the shop and clicking purchase with primos, and then do the pink one. It takes a while to get 5 stars, so don’t be surprised if you don’t get it in 50 draws or more. At 73 wishes, every wish past that that you do, it will increase your chance of getting a 5 star by 6%, with hard pity (guaranteed) at 90 wishes. The pity system is separate on Standard and rotating banners. Rotating banners rotate about every month. If you get Lyney, save up for the next one, which has confirmed to be Zhongli (who has an unbreakable, renewable shield). Once you complete the Stormterror quest, a bunch of shops in Mondstadt will unlock, like Majorie (or whatever it is). If you’re doing a side quest that doesn’t have voice actors for the npcs, don’t read everything aloud. I’ve personally done dozens upon dozens of hours of side quests, including almost every big one in Inazuma and Fontaine, and I’m not even close to done with them! Prioritize opening up areas of the map and getting tp waypoints before doing more questing. I spent a night opening my map from just Mondstadt all the way to the edge of Sumeru forest and getting all the tp pints in there, and it has proven very, very useful. I’m currently also doing a challenge of doing every side quest I can do to the best of my ability (with two exceptions) as I get them. I think I covered all my bases. I’m going to take a break and go play some Genshin. Have fun with all this!

when it comes to the statue of the seven, I believe each one goes up to lvl 10, but in every region there’s more oculi to collect. also yes, there are some random spots where there are hidden chests that you can just take without doing anything.
ANOTHER TIP if you didn't notice... When you put on Noelle's shield and deal normal attacks to enemies, you are actually healing your entire team at the same time. 🙌

So glad your enjoying the game so far! A quick warning just so your aware. The coop feature is a lot of fun and can be very helpful, but keep in mind that some people get a little too excited to help/show off overleveled characters. I've seen people join a new player's world and start completing all the puzzles or killing all the mobs and it can take away from the new player getting to discover it for themselves. It may be a good idea to lay boundaries with people who join so that you get the best experience possible. Max leveled characters blowing up everything in sight is very fun and chaotic, but may be better in small doses if you want to discover things for yourself. You could ask people to use lower leveled characters so that the game doesn't become too unbalanced, but of course, play the way that brings you the most fun. Good luck! :)

I love when people play as who they want rather than the meta, for me, it made things way more fun. I'm AR56, and I leveled Amber up to 80 simply because I loved her, even if she's pretty useless in later game content lol
it's so fun to watch you play because you sound genuinely enthusiastic 😂 also!! A few things you need to know: 1 - as your adventure rank goes up, so does your enemies levels. don't forget to level up your characters. Since you can't get 5* artifacts during the early game, don't worry about building up your characters right now, so no need to go crazy leveling them up as well. Keep them on the same level as the enemies or a little higher. 2 - don't go to other worlds/maps unless you finish all of mondstadt's archon quest (the main quest). it might get overwhelming if you start a lot of quests at once. 3 - offering anemonculus to the statue increases your stamina. if you see a little white star on the map, go there and get it, you'll need each and every bit of stamina you can get. 4 - if you plan on using amber, always activate Noelle's shield before you start attacking. Archers are extremely fragile and always get interrupted, that's why you need the shield. Fischl is also an archer but Oz (her bird) is basically everything you'll need from her, so don't worry about shielding her. 5 - Barbara's E creates a ring around your characters and it constantly heals you. Barbara's ult (Q) heals everyone off field so wait until everyone is healed before switching or else it'll be interrupted. Her E is fine so you can switch to whoever you're going to use.

I put this comment with timestamps to help you with anything you may need since I'm a pretty old player myself :) 4:42 there are multiple puzzles like these around the mondstadt region (where you have to shoot down 3 anemo slimes) 6:32 there is a wind current near that place (which you opened when leveling up the statue of the 7) you can use that to go to Lisa's temple 7:57 you don't always need to go to the statue of the 7 to heal you can eat food you mad in the inventory [there is a tab with a fork (there are also multiple types of food, ex. Healing, buffing, and resorection food)] 9:46 the boars hit you for minimal dmg once they see you if you can kill them before they despawn they drop meat (also there's a funny achievement you can get by dying to a boar ) 10:16 Elemental reactions are a very important part of genshins combat so it is recommended you learn it while progressing into the game 10:37 you don't actually need to remove xinqui from your party whenever there's a domain with a trial run character you can have up to 5 people in the party (even though it's rare) 11:46 sadly you cannot go back but honestly the rewards aren't that great 12:40 so Lisa is a catalyst user like Barbara catalyst is the weapon type and you can't break barrels unless you hold their normal attack 12:53 you can look at the characters' talents description to learn more about their abilities (its in the character menu) 17:35 while we don't know much on the subject we were just able to channel Elemental energy just by touching a statue of the 7 (and we basically have the same abilities with a vision holder, we just have no vision) 20:50 so the archon quests are the main plot quests with more lore about the world The story quests are of each character (mostly 5 stars) You also have the 4star story quests with multiple endings that you can unlock later And lastly world quests are side quests yes but it is recommended that you finishe the corresponding world quests for each region before you move on to the next because you unlock multiple useful mechanics with them 21:38 yes chest are everywhere that's why many recommended the interactive map, also another useful feature you get from the official hoyolab website is the daily check in which gives you multiple useful rewards :> 23:18 all the statues of the same region have the same level when you move on to the next one you have to collect different element of oculi (also when you lvl up mondstadt statues of the 7 you get more stamina which is cool) 26:45 the harbinger of dawn because it has crit dmg as a sub stat is really overpowered and a must lvl up I still use one to this day 30.32 really a minor lore drop we learned from a past event that Stanley is his dead friend and he just stole bro's personality and pretending to be him 39:00 resin is a rechargeable over time currency you use to collect rewards from bosses, lay lines ,artifact and ascension material domains 39:10 those are the places that the sealies (the blue floating creatures) rest they give you a chest afterwards, you can use Elemental sight on it to see the direction of the sealie Thank you so much for the content hope this comment helps. Hey Feral! I've been loving all your videos and want to see your youtube do well. Here are some small tips to enhance the viewing experience for your audience: 1. Level up your weapons, characters (2-3 favorite ones), and attack artifacts (feather mostly) = running through mobs faster so that future exploration videos will be more about exploration than fighting mobs. Watching someone take 20-30 seconds killing a small pack of hilichurls is great for a first episode but not after the 3rd. 2. Related to 1 but you can equip your characters with weapons better than the starter weapons. 3. A healthy mix of story and exploration always does wonders 4. If you get stuck trying to solve some puzzle or figure out how to collect some anemoculus, you can always lookup the answer on the interactive map and just edit the video to jump straight to that part. Jeikage and a few other successful genshin youtubers have done this at the start.
This game has multiple different areas with different statues. To show the gray areas u need to unlock/ touch a statue of the seven in that area. There are currently five different areas of tavat:Monstat, leyway, sumeru, inazuma( only unlockable through main story quest) and Fontain. All of those regions have statues that give different powers to The Traveler and the traveler only with monstat giving you wind, leyway geo, summery grass, inazuma electro and fontain water.The different statues need different maculi to level those statues up.
Regarding getting 100% exploration... At some point you unlock reputation quests in each region. By performing various tasks you gain reputation points and unlock rewards. One of the rewards is a treasure compass for the corresponding region. It shows the direction of the nearest treasure. Also you don't actually need to find every single chest to 100% a zone. I kept finding chests in Stormterror's Lair long after the map said I got 100% of it explored. There's some leeway there.
Ok so just watched through the series so far and id say ; 1. Level characters and weapons to 20! 2 . Focus on 2 characters for a dps and a support. 3 . Not to lean into the meta! Pull whoever you feel is cool or useful to you. 4 . Work on the archon quest at a steady pace [ Spoiler : theres always 1/2 bosses at the end of each so be prepared ] 5 . Have fun honestly its a open world fun slow paced game! I love watching. Love these videos xx

Quick guide on grinding domains and blossoms: You can explore the open world as much as you want, but there's a limiting mechanic for dungeons, some bosses, and the blossoms Katheryne mentioned. 'Resin'. It's capped at 160, regenerates slowly. You can restore it quickly using some rare-ish items (or primogems, but most people spend those on Wishes.) Daily bosses cost 40 resin to collect their loot, 60 for weekly bosses (your adv handbook will explain which are which). Repeatable domains cost 20 I think. All of these are essential for getting your characters/weapons to higher levels, or to get the best artefacts. Ley line blossoms are little cloud spheres that spawn in the open world, you fight some easy mobs and spend 30 resin to get some Mora or character exp books. The game is very friendly to casual play, so don't feel you have to do all of this all the time. But I advise trying them all out, then spend on the bits you enjoy. Especially weekly bosses and weapon mats dungeons. If you do get a character or item you want to max, you don't want to have to spend weeks grinding for it. On a related note, if you want primos for characters, and adventure exp, do the 4 daily commissions Katheryne gives you. Shouldn't take more than 20min, but helps once the game stops showering you with rewards. Last but not least, pick a main team. You won't get more from the prologue, you're at the mercy of wish RNG, and you CAN'T level everything without whaling and grinding. So pick a main team, and spend most of your mats and resin on them. 15 lvl 40 characters doesn't help you if you need a lvl 60 for a timed combat trial. Who you pick is up to you, about the only bad team is all-hydro vs a hydro-immune boss, or similar. So pick the top rated dps in your collection, or your waifu, whatever makes the game fun. Oh, and not sure if you caught it: you need to sign in daily to get the max rewards from Welkin moon. Feed that addiction, eh?
Xingqiu’s ult (the Q ability) makes it so your normal attacks trigger rain swords! Good with Lisa since it constantly does electrocharged. Also activating the ult and Kaeyas ult you can freeze enemies for a while, letting you get many hits in. You’re doing good so far! Enjoying the lp. :)
heres a tip about exploration, of course do what you feel like and take this only as a potential idea ! what i like to do is mark all chests, seelie, oculi on the map with a pin and a label for what type of treasure it was. then when i've reached the max amount of pins i just transfer the information by manually entering it into the interactive map. this way the novelty of discovering things on your own is still there, as well you won't lose your mind stuck on 99% in a region missing one chest ! the only downside i find is that its a bit tedious.
Once you finish the Mondstadt part of the story the game will unlock a small waypoint at the northern edge of the desert for easy access to Fontaine for exploration. You won't be able to do Fontaine story yet but it's really nice to be able to explore and do puzzles. It's also really helpful if you unlock a Fontaine character since you'll need Fontaine materials if you want to level them up.
There are chests EVERYWHERE, and there are an insane amount of ways to unlock chests. Each region has its own puzzles as well as there being consistent methods of unlocking chests across all regions. Some are very hidden as well, such as lighting 3 torches which spawn a chest. Like you discovered as well, there are also chests that are just kinda chilling there
These videos are actually so entertaining and useful! Even though I already finished the tutorial a few months ago before taking multiple breaks and getting addicted all the way up until now I’m realising I made things way too difficult for myself😅 like I’ll climb up the steepest and highest cliffs just to realise there was an actual path that I could’ve taken once I get to the top. Or with Lisa’s trial in the challenge part where you have to defeat all the pyro slimes in 20 seconds I actually never even realised that I could’ve just held the elemental skill button thing and so I had to retry that thing multiple times and I’m pretty sure I barely used lisa. I also managed to forget about the plunging attacks or whatever they’re called and so when I saw someone doing that I thought it was just the character they were using so I thought wow that’s a really op character I need that one
I love this series, its so refreshing to watch new players just enjoying the game and not concentrating on the primos or meta. While yes some characters are better than others kit wise whats most important is if you like youre characters and have fun. Also ley lines are the blue or yellow smoke clumps. The blue ones will give you material to level up characters, and the yellow ones give you "Mora" the currency of Teyvat.
So in domian or tample when you got trial charactet (in this tample Lisa) you can have full party and then she will be on 5 button and you will have 5 characters. Go to Adventer Gulid to get a reward for Lvl. Im inventory you have meals with a green plus. This meal can heal you too and its so much better then statue of the seven bc you can use it in a fight.
This was a really entertaining episode and I can’t wait for the next one :) a few tips of advice -if you enter too far into a red area (where the borders are), your character will automatically move backwards (this often gets you killed, especially in domains) -the applied element logo will appear on top of enemy heads -take your time to explore whatever areas you would like (also please don’t make the mistake of using Kaeya to ice-bridge over to Inazuma like I did) -You should look at weapon passives and stats (the text below the name of the weapon) -Make sure to login daily to do commissions (it rewards you with 40 primogems and some other small perks plus a bonus if you return to Katheryne) anyway I hope you have a great day/afternoon/night and keep up the great work :D
Next time you're about to fall down a cliff, try using your normal attack mid-air. Plunging will reduce the fall damage. You have not completed the prologue, by the way; the entirety of Mondstadt is the prologue. Chapter 1 is in the next nation.
39:10 That statue can give you a chest if you bring a seelie to it which looks like a floating blue bird and the only thing you need to do is come close to the seelie and it will start going to the statue. An easy way to find these seelies is to use elemental sight(middle mouse button) next to the statue and then it will show you in what direction you need to go to find the seelie.
Another 10 hours and you might beat the prologue!

I heavily recommend guiding your adventures based on a handbook miniquest, if it asks you to level up the Statue of The Seven then go around collecting Anemoculi and get chests on the way, the map is massive, so having an objective keeps you from getting too side tracked while giving enough room to freely explore the game

If you get confused with some of the characters’ abilities and what they do, you can go into the character screen and go to the “talents” section. There, you’ll be able to read what some of their skills and ultimates/bursts do.

As an old player who got burnt out of the game around a year ago ur series has single handedly made me go back to the game. Idk, something about seeing u explore everything and being excited about it gave me nostalgia and I ended up getting back on the other day!

The letter you got from Mona (and from Ninguang in an earlier video) is just a thing that you get when a character has their birthday. You'll get a letter with some materials and a special food unique to the character, but it doesn't unlock any story elements or extra gameplay. You can see a character's birthday on their character page
A small tip: if your stamina runs out and you end up falling from great heights you can press attack and do a plunging attack to minimize fall damage, very useful to avoid poor Amber's fate lol :) This playthrough is coming along really nicely, good work and have fun!

not sure if you already know about these, but you should use sprint more often when fighting enemies :D when you sprint at just the right moment, you can actually avoid taking damage from the enemies!
also, there are some things you can hit in the game like that anemo slime floating and get chests out of them! its like a small puzzle thingy that you can get rewards from :p

Sprinting can make you invincible for a very very short amount of time, like frame perfect basically but it does work!
Yes when u dash in combat it works exactly the same as dodges just don't spam so u don't run out of stamina
The initial dash animation has invincibility frames. Similar to rolling in dark souls.

Barbara's ultimate is a large teamwide heal! So even if shes the one on field, everyone on the bench is auto healed by a bunch of hp! Barbara heals more the more hp she has, hope this helps

6:58 a little tip when it comes to consuming stamina when exploring- use tall characters as they climb, run, and swim faster. The tallest types of characters are adult males so you can use Kaeya :D

also! whenever you think something is too high to climb, it probably is. there's normally easyer ways you can just look at in them map, the topography is relativly easy to understand and you can plan paths better, just look for ways with no hard edges to where you wanna go!

For me I get the most enjoyment just building and playing the characters that I like, rather than who's strong or not, so you should totally just use the characters you want at any given moment if that's what you prefer, no worries! Every character are good enough, honestly!

For people who are like 500+ hours into this behemoth of a game this kind of series is a joy to watch, especially since you're so interested in all the lore/npcs/world like so many of us were. As streamers who play, tend to rush gameplay and story to drive engagement numbers and they have other games they need to play at their peak (There are dedicated genshin streamers who are an exception to this but they are also 500+ hours in). Element reactions are your friend so swapping out characters and abilities will serve well.
Unless... you get Razor... If you pull Razor from the banner at any point, you have (in my opinion) 'the' perfect beginners character to carry you through the first two lands, as Electro damage is very easy to deal out to anything on the world map until the 3rd land, he has the highest physical dps of standard 4 stars, he can mine any and all ores for you, and in his elemental state (Q) he can not be parried/stunned/knocked at all even by charging mitachurls... which if you play him right and slap an energy regenerating claymore on him, is all the time.
If you don't, you want your elemental skills to do as many 'things' as possible. Melt. Freeze, Electro-charged, Swirl, Bloom, Crystalize (And there are even sub reactions to many of those) Mix it up in the melting pot and make those numbers and words fly!

6:50 when you run out of stamina you can press spacebar to use the glider or attack to plunge attack, so u wont take damage
10:35 you don't have to remove a character - the trial character will join the party anyway as a 5th charater in a party
23:15 statues in one region share the level, so if you go to e.g. Liyue, the staue will have level 1, but also there won't be anemoculus, but geoculus which will upgrade it
25:20 tip - leveling is pretty useful, because it upgrades mostly your atk and hp - so if enemies are too hard just level up the characters - otherwise you can just leave them as they are for now
27:30 those letters are always send when a character have a birthday, basically a gift from them to you!! :) (they later are in "gift mail box", so they wont expire like the rest of mails)
36:20 lay lines are challenges that gives you rewards - to open them you use Original Resin which refresh over time (when you open the map its in right up corner)
Also you can check in character's menu in "talents" what each characters E and Q does

You can heal yourself by eating food in the inventory. And about the hatred the dragon felt, there is a story about it. When you meet barbatos you will know about it.
Btw the map is even bigger than it seems because there are 2 regions that don't show up on the main map
I would recommend reading your character's talents while you still have few characters. It helps with understanding what your characters can do. For example, Barbara's Q heals the whole party in one instance usually for emergency healings. Some talents are easy to understand just from looking at what it does but sometimes, talents like Barbara will make you confuse at what she just did.
About Barbara: Her E doesn't give a shield. It allows you to heal when you're attacking with Barbara
Also the trials people were referring to are the ones with the 5 star characters (Lyney and Yelan). You saw it in Ep 2 but were unsure if they had spoilers or not. You should do them next episode because 5 star characters are insane to play with
Barbara's E is a heal over time, you don't have to be attacking to trigger it and it works when shes off field as well.

It does both. It periodically heals whoever is on field for a percentage of Barbara's max HP, and if Barbara is on field it heals your entire team for a smaller amount every time she hits someone

Prioterizing story characters over meta, god I love this gameplay
To trigger a reaction (like melt at the beginning of the video with the cryo hilichurl) you need to have the cryo element’s icon on top of the enemy’s head, (in case of a boss it will be under his health bar), and apply some pyro to it. Your pyro attack will have the « melt » word with the damage. It’s the same idea with every other reaction. I hope this will help you !

A few tips:
Enemies can't have 3 different auras at the same time. Auras are the little element symbols you see above their heads when you hit them with an elemental attack, and when a second elemental attack hits them, it'll react with the aura left on them by the first one. For example, if you do a charged shot with Amber and then immediately hit the same enemy with Xingqiu's E Skill, he's going to deal higher damage because the Hydro from his attack reacted with Amber's Pyro aura to create a Vaporize reaction. Element auras are *consumed* to create a reaction, meaning the Pyro and Hydro will disappear, leaving the enemy with no auras (in reality, they will probably have a leftover Hydro aura since Xingqiu hits twice, but you get the point).
Notice that, in a Vaporize reaction, both elements destroy each other on contact. This isn't the case for every reaction. For example, Electro-Charged will allow both Hydro *and* Electro to coexist on an enemy, meaning a single Pyro attack will react with *both the Hydro and Electro auras* to create Vaporize and Overload respectively. However, there will never be a situation where an enemy has *three different element auras* coexisting - only two at most. A third element will always react with one of the two existing ones and either be consumed or consume part of the other 2 (this last part has some very fun implications in higher level team building which you'll get to explore someday).
The second tip is just to remember to use Fischl's skill. Her bird will constantly apply Electro to enemies even when you switch to another character, which will allow you to experiment more efficiently with all the Electro-Charged + Cryo stuff you wanted to try out.

I’m super sleepy while I’m writing this, but I figured I’d leave a comment.
The enthusiasm you show while playing this is soo cool to watch, it actually gives me the ‘first-time’ nostalgic feeling since I’m a high leveled player.
A lot of youtubers play but theyre not really.. interested? Anyway, I think it’s amazing how much you seem to be genuinely enjoying it.
Heres a few times now if you happen to see this!
1: shielders and healers are SUPER useful, I recommend having either noelle or barbara on your team for now! Itll make it so much easier.
2: remember not to overdo it and get burnt out! A shorter video or a break is better than you starting to genuinely dislike playing because you feel like you need to for your audience at this point.
3: using resin is pretty important since its a limited thing that refills over time, you can use it on things like bosses, leylines, and domains.
4: do the test runs in the event menu! Its easy primogems, free resources, free mora, and you just get to see how certain characters play.
5: check the talents to see what characters do! theres three attack talents, two other side talents, and one passive. you can check character mechanics in this menu!
anyway, even if you might not see this, you’re doing great and I wanna follow this journey to the end if you keep going! ❤️ ❤️
I LOVE your take on teams, you focusing on story more than anything else will let you enjoy the game so much more than focusing on the Meta, and every character can get you through the game as long as you level them✨
I genuinely would be interested in seeing you deep dive into this game, like really play the story quests, build characters and take your time to enjoy everything. There are SOOO many little details, chests, areas, etc. to explore in each region! Mondstadt is a great starting place to just experiment, explore, and figure out different stuff about the game mechanics and such.

Work on video title, if that end up being long series, (the game currenly has around 50h of just main story) add (part x) and if you doing main story you can include that in the title. It will make easier for poeple to keep track and look for specific part of the game if they are interested in Your reaction to the story.
On deciding as to when to explore a new region/nation, I do have a few suggestions.
One could first follow the storyline, then let's say you've finished an act, like in this one, you'd explore the rest of the regions that were related to the current act. After you've felt like you've explored enough of your currently unlocked regions (I don't mean 100% an area, but just that you've felt like you can come back latee), then you proceed to the next act, then repeat.
Or,
One could explore at most the current nation, basically, only when you're done with a nation's archon quests, then you proceed to the next nation. i.e. you explore a nation at a time alongside the Archon Quests. I dunno, I guess cause canonically, the MC only travels into the next nation after finishing the quests of the current nation.
Or
You could do whatever you like, I'm just giving suggestions.
For me,
Back in 1.0, only Mondstadt and Liyue were out (with the latter only finished a patch later, and the icy mountain you see in Mondstadt coming in 1.3, I think?),
so how I played was like option 2.
I did not step foot in Liyue until I finished Mondstadt's Archon Quest.
I like free roaming, yes, but there's something about the game's quests leading me to a new area that I really like.

It can be fanservice (the good one) in other words too. Either way, you get more free stuff (and some lore). Nothing to lose right?

The last time I laughed so hard is when someone called Aether’s braid a “rat tail”. I got back into Genshin through Starrail so I’m pretty new as well but watching you is fun. I’m still on like the 3rd ep of this but I just wanted to share as soon as I could. Exploring is definitely my favorite part of the game.

Tips:
- Once you've reached the AR, do the reaction domains at lisas temple. It'll teach you a lot and give you some experience with new fighting styles.
- The abyss mages are a pain to deal with. You need the right element to break their shield. Use pyro for cryo, electro for hydro and hydro for pyro. You can also freeze hydro like you did
(very smart), overload pyro with Fischl or Lisa or just brute force it...
- Use Lisa instead of Fischl. Fischl is great and has a good spot within Meta but if you're not so much concerned with raw damage and just want that electro charge for Xingqiu,
maybe she'd be a better pick. That rule works for all reaction-based teams in early-game. Catalyst users (characters like Barbara or Lisa who just shoot their element instaed of
using a sword or bow and need their skill for their element) are awesome and are gonna teach you a lot about what type of element works in what situation.
- Keep! Collecting! EVERYTHING! Everything you see in the world, pick it up! Berries, flowers, mushrooms, chests, barrels and crates, CRABS...
- There are blue floating ghost things flying around all over the map. Go near them and they will move slowly towards one of these broken statues you saw at the end of this vid. Follow them
and keep them going until they've arrived. They'll set themselves into the statue and spawn a chest as reward for you helping them getting home!
- Keep talking to the NPCs. Some of them will give you free stuff and others will actually start a side quest for you that can give you awesome and unique rewards!
- When you actually want to make a character more powerful, look into their talents. They're in the same menu where you can change their weapons and artifacts. I don't remember if you
need a certain AR to level them but if you can and you do it, they will get better the more you level them. However, you will need specific items to level them up so for earl-game that is not
that important.
Everything I wrote is just a suggestion. You have your own playstyle and it will evolve along with your progress within the story and the world.
Every single Genshin-player went through the same when they strated. I mean, I remember, when I started I had no clue and still had so much fun figuring things out but a little tip here and there was allways welcom and very helpful.
One last tip:
Don't bother with limited wish banners for now. Most characters you can get there are from other (future) regions and to build and actually use them you need acces to specific domains (temples) for artifacts and talent materials. However, if you happen to know a character and really want them, you could pull for them and just level them once you can.
I don't know if you will spend money on this game or not. You ABSOLUTELY don't have to. This game is perfectly playable if you are F2P. I mean, with Fischle and Xingqiu you allready have two solid end-game characters and with time, you are gonna collect more F2P characters to build some amazing teams! I choose to spend a little with welkins and the battle pass because those give a lot and I think a game this gorgeous and content-heavy deserves something in return but noone should feel forced to buy something. The two welkins you got as a gift are awesome (Seriously, whoever gave those, you're just the best!!!) and they will give you 90 primogems every day you log in for 2x 30 days. Together with quest rewards and boni for chests, statues and waypoints you can do a couple ten-pulls per month if you want to!

Now here's some tips I would love to inform you:
Leveling up your characters to your limit will increase your characters stats and would make your fights easier! There's tons of Great stuffs you can do if your characters are leveled and it's up to you to explore it since I dont wanna ruin ur surprises!
Also, Don't forget to use the best equipment/artifacts you have for your characters! It's one of the most important stuffs for your characters to be stronger based on the passive and stats it gives! Hopefully you get to learn it... doesn't need to be fast, but slowly! As far as u get will be more complicated!
Lastly, If you ever thought of comboes, hopefully you learn a good team composition someday! Not necessarily but it's the best way to just, bully the enemies xDDD *ehem freeze and hyperbloom* but you can always choose your favorite and preferable playstyle for your enjoyment!

7:00 Btw, after playing for 3 years i'm still not sure (mostly bc it rarely happens to me) but if you run out of stamina and start falling try pressing attack button/LMB since i think it should trigger the plunge attack which would nullify big portion, if not all, of the dmg. The downside of plunge attacks is that they lock you in an animation, so if you do them you can't move until you reach the ground.

Idk if anybody has told you but u see that mysterious hydro door in Monstadt? This door will be unlocked by doing mona story quest but u don’t need to know the story quest’s now at ur ar level (so in short u don’t need to worry about it now)
Here's some small but useful tips for your exploration:
Plunging is a good way to reduce fall damage and increase the falling speed (note that you cant plunge when you ran out of stamina)
Offering Oculis to the statues andleveling it up increase your stamina by time! Maximum is 240(?) so it'll help and save you time exploring
Elemental sight is a great way to find chests and puzzles for more juicy primogems!
To swim faster and safer, hold W and spam click sprint, as far from my experience
Leylines are small challenges for you to earn Mora or xp books that cost Resins
Resins (blue crescent on the map function) for me is the most important function for the game as you can do alot using it to grind, ofcourse its up to you to use it all but I suggest to not max it as it replenishes all the time

I swear watching your genshin videos just gives me so much happiness and I'm just in love with every single one of your reactions to discovering little things. After Fontaine's update, unfortunately, I'm not able to play Genshin anymore, as well as many others mobile users, and watching you getting excited over every single new thing is just making me feel so jealous of you, but in a good way! I really want to go back to when i first discovered Genshin, it's such an amazing game. Please, keep doing these videos, and keep enjoying your journey in this game in the way you want to! There isn't a specific way or a guide step by step to discover the game, just enjoy your time playing! But what i can say to you to make your journey in Teyvat more enjoyable, is some tips that i personally used (or wanted to use, but couldn't) in the game:
- There are three types of quests: archon quests, so basically the main story plot; character quests, so the side stories about the playable characters, and also hangouts, that are the side quests for specifically 4 star characters; finally, the world quests, so quests about npc, they may seem boring and useless, but some of them are actually pretty interesting and well made. Some of them will require days to complete, others just a few minutes. Keep in mind that every quest has its own rewards, so maybe check the rewards before choosing a quest! Also, not every quest can be done in co-op, so you'll have to enjoy your story alone :(
- You can unlock hangouts and character quests by doing daily missions: every 4 daily missions completed, you get a key. You can unlock 5 star characters story quests with one key, while the hangouts require more. The world quests get unlocked usually once you talk with an npc or when you simply continue the story. Archon quests unlock once you complete the previous archon quest.
- [You don't need to do what i say in this paragraph, it's just a personal opinion on what i do to enjoy the game better, play however you want!] What i recommend you to do, is to complete every character quest of a region (ex: Mondstadt) before leaving it to explore another region. Also, don't explore everything right now! Your main worry should be the archon quests. You'll have much time later to explore since you need to do that to upgrade your characters. If you can't proceed with an archon quest because it's too hard, then feel free to roam around the region you're in to build your characters more and get stronger. Maybe let some friends help you with that! Also, do not explore other regions before unlocking their archon quest, just for cinematic reasons. Every region will have their own time to shine, be patient and enjoy the game as much as you can, don't be in a rush!

You may play how you like, but the second you execute a single non-optimal rotation with a non-synergistic lineup not built to my exact specifications and you lose precious seconds clearing overworld mobs then I'm blocking you and calling the cops.

For the special gift mail - it's just stored for posterity really. Kinda like archiving the "personalized" mail that characters are sending to the Traveler.
There can be little canon lore bits for characters backgrounds, bits of world building, etc As this is an RPG the story aspect of characters bonds with each other is special, I guess you could say. Makes the world feel more alive.

We’re excited to follow this journey with you! As an AR 59 player, I can tell you that following your adventure handbook all the way is one of the most rewarding things ever. It goes up to level 9 if memory serves me right. There’s pages in there that’ll tell you to unlock more statutes of the seven as you complete it. I know going to places like Fontaine are so deliciously tempting rn but there’s no better feeling, than arriving to a new nation the same time as beginning it’s story. Genshin wasn’t created to be rushed but enjoyed slowly and my gosh the scenery? Never gets old. Looking forward to more of these vid- will for sure keep watching !

Hi, you will want to expand this comment. I’ll be providing tips on what will help you progress in the game, and various things you should know. If you have any more questions, I can get you a friend request for a dm. I may only be ar 38, but I have another profile on a different server at ar 48 or something. I decided to make this before I heard about the one guy who did a similar thing, so I’m not copying or trying to one-up him. I don’t ask for anything in return, this is just some help! Pull out that notebook and get started!
Editor’s note: Idk how much of this is covered in the video I’ll drop the comment on, but here’s the unedited version, based off of ep 4.
Hear me and rejoice!
Those elemental pillars, including the torches that unlocked a chest a little while back, will be activated by an element and always lead to a chest or occasionally another puzzle for a chest.
The Tab Menu IMPORTANT*** this menu, from holding down tab, allows you to easily access basically every menu that isn’t in the escape menu list by moving your cursor in the direction of the one you want. Very handy!
A couple key binds you should know:
L for party setup
B for inventory
C for characters
G for tutorials. Every time you read a tutorial, you get a Primo!
Your team rn should be: Xingqiu as main dps, Fishl for sub-dps and electro application (to combo with xingqiu), Amber for pyro application (Amber is basically useless, but having a pyro character on your team is extremely useful), and Barbara for healing, which brings me straight into my next subject:
Barbara heals your characters. Her E ability will apply hydro and heal herself, and her ultimate ability heals all of your characters a lot. If you have any artifacts at any point with the stat of healing bonus, give it to her!
Artifacts: you should go for the adventurer set on as many characters as you can. Once you progress enough, switch to the berserker set bonuses. Another thing I need to mention with these:
Substats: The substats on an artifact are completely random, but the ones you should focus on the most right now relate to damage: ATK %, CRIT RATE %, CRIT DMG %, and probably Health. They’ll also have a main stat, which is the most important. The substats are listed in the description of an artifact, and the better the piece (aka the more stars it has), the more substats it will have. If you have a three star artifact with terrible substats and a two star one with good ones, always go with the two star.
To go back around to your team, every character has a weapon and 5 artifact slots. You should give Xingqiu the best stuff you have, then Fishl and Barbara, and finally Amber. Keep in mind that weapons and artifacts can be leveled up by clicking enhance, and that will boost their damage a lot.
Level up your characters. It won’t give stamina, but it’ll buff them significantly.
Any time a weapon or character hits a certain level, it has to be ascended to get it higher, which requires you to pay various items. Also, the amount of xp and items needed to ascend and level characters is exponential, so it will increase a lot later on. BTW: Hero’s wit is the book you’ll want to use to level your characters, because it gives the most xp. If you run out, switch to the blue one.
The map locks you out because you haven’t completed the Stormterror quest yet. Once that’s done, you’ll unlock the entire viewable map, save for the quest-locked areas like Tsurumi Island, Enkanomiya, and the Lower Chasm.
Some more map-related things: it is extremely useful to unlock every tp waypoint possible. They’ll show on your map after you get the Statue of the Seven nearby.
Stay off the icy mountain for now.
Eventually in your mapwide exploration you’ll reach Statues of the Seven that are to the Geo god (your comments will spoil it; shut up, y’all!!). In the Geo area, you’ll see different (more complex) puzzles, yellow “Geoculi” that can upgrade the Statue, various new plants and ores, new monsters, and the city of Liyue, which you’ll find eventually. The entire area is referred to as Liyue and will prove to be a bit of a challenge for you. You’ll also eventually reach Sumeru, the land of Dendro, but that’s a giant comment for later.
DO NOT TRY TO ICE BRIDGE TO INAZUMA we’ve all been there to try and use Kaeya to ice-bridge all the way across the massive ocean, but it DOES NOT WORK and will waste an hour of your life. Inazuma is quest-locked.
Don’t spend ages breaking bushes or looking for secret chests. There are a lot of them, but they are almost never worth your time.
If you adjust the dialogue volume in the Audio section of settings over and over about twenty or thirty times, you get a free achievement. I’m serious
You can get that other tp point in Mondstadt by climbing the building it’s on and resting at intervals to regen Stamina. At the top is a Luxurious Chest, the best type of chest in the game (it might be precious, second best), a Radiant Spincrystal, and the tp.
Don’t bother with the Archive much; Mondstadt is probably less than 1% of the entries in it, so don’t deal with it until later.
Someone bought you a Blessing of the Welkin Moon, a 5-dollar item that gives you primos every day for a month.
NEVER spend primos to buy Acquaint Fates. Always wish on one of the rotating banners (right now the people on are Lyney and Yelan, and I would go for Lyney if I were you, you need Lyney more than Yelan). The Standard banner has all the four stars in a pool and a handful of five stars that aren’t nearly as good as the ones on rotation. In addition, the five stars on the Standard banner can also be drawn from the rotating ones, but not the other way around.
Spend primos by opening the shop and clicking purchase with primos, and then do the pink one. It takes a while to get 5 stars, so don’t be surprised if you don’t get it in 50 draws or more. At 73 wishes, every wish past that that you do, it will increase your chance of getting a 5 star by 6%, with hard pity (guaranteed) at 90 wishes. The pity system is separate on Standard and rotating banners.
Rotating banners rotate about every month. If you get Lyney, save up for the next one, which has confirmed to be Zhongli (who has an unbreakable, renewable shield).
Once you complete the Stormterror quest, a bunch of shops in Mondstadt will unlock, like Majorie (or whatever it is).
If you’re doing a side quest that doesn’t have voice actors for the npcs, don’t read everything aloud. I’ve personally done dozens upon dozens of hours of side quests, including almost every big one in Inazuma and Fontaine, and I’m not even close to done with them!
Prioritize opening up areas of the map and getting tp waypoints before doing more questing. I spent a night opening my map from just Mondstadt all the way to the edge of Sumeru forest and getting all the tp pints in there, and it has proven very, very useful. I’m currently also doing a challenge of doing every side quest I can do to the best of my ability (with two exceptions) as I get them.
I think I covered all my bases. I’m going to take a break and go play some Genshin. Have fun with all this!

when it comes to the statue of the seven, I believe each one goes up to lvl 10, but in every region there’s more oculi to collect.
also yes, there are some random spots where there are hidden chests that you can just take without doing anything.

When you put on Noelle's shield and deal normal attacks to enemies, you are actually healing your entire team at the same time. 🙌

So glad your enjoying the game so far! A quick warning just so your aware. The coop feature is a lot of fun and can be very helpful, but keep in mind that some people get a little too excited to help/show off overleveled characters. I've seen people join a new player's world and start completing all the puzzles or killing all the mobs and it can take away from the new player getting to discover it for themselves. It may be a good idea to lay boundaries with people who join so that you get the best experience possible. Max leveled characters blowing up everything in sight is very fun and chaotic, but may be better in small doses if you want to discover things for yourself. You could ask people to use lower leveled characters so that the game doesn't become too unbalanced, but of course, play the way that brings you the most fun. Good luck! :)

I love when people play as who they want rather than the meta, for me, it made things way more fun. I'm AR56, and I leveled Amber up to 80 simply because I loved her, even if she's pretty useless in later game content lol

it's so fun to watch you play because you sound genuinely enthusiastic 😂 also!! A few things you need to know:
1 - as your adventure rank goes up, so does your enemies levels. don't forget to level up your characters. Since you can't get 5* artifacts during the early game, don't worry about building up your characters right now, so no need to go crazy leveling them up as well. Keep them on the same level as the enemies or a little higher.
2 - don't go to other worlds/maps unless you finish all of mondstadt's archon quest (the main quest). it might get overwhelming if you start a lot of quests at once.
3 - offering anemonculus to the statue increases your stamina. if you see a little white star on the map, go there and get it, you'll need each and every bit of stamina you can get.
4 - if you plan on using amber, always activate Noelle's shield before you start attacking. Archers are extremely fragile and always get interrupted, that's why you need the shield. Fischl is also an archer but Oz (her bird) is basically everything you'll need from her, so don't worry about shielding her.
5 - Barbara's E creates a ring around your characters and it constantly heals you. Barbara's ult (Q) heals everyone off field so wait until everyone is healed before switching or else it'll be interrupted. Her E is fine so you can switch to whoever you're going to use.
I looove your videos, Ive been playing genshin since it was just liyue and I havent been interested in watching people play before (except to see how to finish quests when I got stuck). Hello Mr cabbage, thank you for the amazing content it is amazing to see a person's 1st experience in the game since its pretty hard to recreate. I put this comment with timestamps to help you with anything you may need since I'm a pretty old player myself :)
4:42 there are multiple puzzles like these around the mondstadt region (where you have to shoot down 3 anemo slimes)
6:32 there is a wind current near that place (which you opened when leveling up the statue of the 7) you can use that to go to Lisa's temple
7:57 you don't always need to go to the statue of the 7 to heal you can eat food you mad in the inventory [there is a tab with a fork (there are also multiple types of food, ex. Healing, buffing, and resorection food)]
9:46 the boars hit you for minimal dmg once they see you if you can kill them before they despawn they drop meat (also there's a funny achievement you can get by dying to a boar )
10:16 Elemental reactions are a very important part of genshins combat so it is recommended you learn it while progressing into the game
10:37 you don't actually need to remove xinqui from your party whenever there's a domain with a trial run character you can have up to 5 people in the party (even though it's rare)
11:46 sadly you cannot go back but honestly the rewards aren't that great
12:40 so Lisa is a catalyst user like Barbara catalyst is the weapon type and you can't break barrels unless you hold their normal attack
12:53 you can look at the characters' talents description to learn more about their abilities (its in the character menu)
17:35 while we don't know much on the subject we were just able to channel Elemental energy just by touching a statue of the 7 (and we basically have the same abilities with a vision holder, we just have no vision)

The story quests are of each character (mostly 5 stars)
You also have the 4star story quests with multiple endings that you can unlock later
And lastly world quests are side quests yes but it is recommended that you finishe the corresponding world quests for each region before you move on to the next because you unlock multiple useful mechanics with them
21:38 yes chest are everywhere that's why many recommended the interactive map, also another useful feature you get from the official hoyolab website is the daily check in which gives you multiple useful rewards :>
23:18 all the statues of the same region have the same level when you move on to the next one you have to collect different element of oculi (also when you lvl up mondstadt statues of the 7 you get more stamina which is cool)

39:10 those are the places that the sealies (the blue floating creatures) rest they give you a chest afterwards, you can use Elemental sight on it to see the direction of the sealie

Hey Feral! I've been loving all your videos and want to see your youtube do well.
Here are some small tips to enhance the viewing experience for your audience:
1. Level up your weapons, characters (2-3 favorite ones), and attack artifacts (feather mostly) = running through mobs faster so that future exploration videos will be more about exploration than fighting mobs. Watching someone take 20-30 seconds killing a small pack of hilichurls is great for a first episode but not after the 3rd.
2. Related to 1 but you can equip your characters with weapons better than the starter weapons.
3. A healthy mix of story and exploration always does wonders
4. If you get stuck trying to solve some puzzle or figure out how to collect some anemoculus, you can always lookup the answer on the interactive map and just edit the video to jump straight to that part. Jeikage and a few other successful genshin youtubers have done this at the start.
This game has multiple different areas with different statues. To show the gray areas u need to unlock/ touch a statue of the seven in that area. There are currently five different areas of tavat:Monstat, leyway, sumeru, inazuma( only unlockable through main story quest) and Fontain. All of those regions have statues that give different powers to The Traveler and the traveler only with monstat giving you wind, leyway geo, summery grass, inazuma electro and fontain water.The different statues need different maculi to level those statues up.
That 'My treasure' is for when you unlock klee's story quest :DD
Regarding getting 100% exploration... At some point you unlock reputation quests in each region. By performing various tasks you gain reputation points and unlock rewards. One of the rewards is a treasure compass for the corresponding region. It shows the direction of the nearest treasure.
Also you don't actually need to find every single chest to 100% a zone. I kept finding chests in Stormterror's Lair long after the map said I got 100% of it explored. There's some leeway there.
Ok so just watched through the series so far and id say ;
1. Level characters and weapons to 20!
2 . Focus on 2 characters for a dps and a support.
3 . Not to lean into the meta! Pull whoever you feel is cool or useful to you.
4 . Work on the archon quest at a steady pace [ Spoiler : theres always 1/2 bosses at the end of each so be prepared ]
5 . Have fun honestly its a open world fun slow paced game! I love watching. Love these videos xx

Quick guide on grinding domains and blossoms:
You can explore the open world as much as you want, but there's a limiting mechanic for dungeons, some bosses, and the blossoms Katheryne mentioned. 'Resin'. It's capped at 160, regenerates slowly. You can restore it quickly using some rare-ish items (or primogems, but most people spend those on Wishes.)
Daily bosses cost 40 resin to collect their loot, 60 for weekly bosses (your adv handbook will explain which are which). Repeatable domains cost 20 I think. All of these are essential for getting your characters/weapons to higher levels, or to get the best artefacts.
Ley line blossoms are little cloud spheres that spawn in the open world, you fight some easy mobs and spend 30 resin to get some Mora or character exp books.
The game is very friendly to casual play, so don't feel you have to do all of this all the time. But I advise trying them all out, then spend on the bits you enjoy. Especially weekly bosses and weapon mats dungeons. If you do get a character or item you want to max, you don't want to have to spend weeks grinding for it.
On a related note, if you want primos for characters, and adventure exp, do the 4 daily commissions Katheryne gives you. Shouldn't take more than 20min, but helps once the game stops showering you with rewards.
Last but not least, pick a main team. You won't get more from the prologue, you're at the mercy of wish RNG, and you CAN'T level everything without whaling and grinding. So pick a main team, and spend most of your mats and resin on them. 15 lvl 40 characters doesn't help you if you need a lvl 60 for a timed combat trial. Who you pick is up to you, about the only bad team is all-hydro vs a hydro-immune boss, or similar. So pick the top rated dps in your collection, or your waifu, whatever makes the game fun.
Oh, and not sure if you caught it: you need to sign in daily to get the max rewards from Welkin moon. Feed that addiction, eh?
Xingqiu’s ult (the Q ability) makes it so your normal attacks trigger rain swords! Good with Lisa since it constantly does electrocharged. Also activating the ult and Kaeyas ult you can freeze enemies for a while, letting you get many hits in. You’re doing good so far! Enjoying the lp. :)
heres a tip about exploration, of course do what you feel like and take this only as a potential idea !
what i like to do is mark all chests, seelie, oculi on the map with a pin and a label for what type of treasure it was. then when i've reached the max amount of pins i just transfer the information by manually entering it into the interactive map.
this way the novelty of discovering things on your own is still there, as well you won't lose your mind stuck on 99% in a region missing one chest ! the only downside i find is that its a bit tedious.
Once you finish the Mondstadt part of the story the game will unlock a small waypoint at the northern edge of the desert for easy access to Fontaine for exploration. You won't be able to do Fontaine story yet but it's really nice to be able to explore and do puzzles. It's also really helpful if you unlock a Fontaine character since you'll need Fontaine materials if you want to level them up.
There are chests EVERYWHERE, and there are an insane amount of ways to unlock chests. Each region has its own puzzles as well as there being consistent methods of unlocking chests across all regions. Some are very hidden as well, such as lighting 3 torches which spawn a chest. Like you discovered as well, there are also chests that are just kinda chilling there
These videos are actually so entertaining and useful! Even though I already finished the tutorial a few months ago before taking multiple breaks and getting addicted all the way up until now I’m realising I made things way too difficult for myself😅 like I’ll climb up the steepest and highest cliffs just to realise there was an actual path that I could’ve taken once I get to the top. Or with Lisa’s trial in the challenge part where you have to defeat all the pyro slimes in 20 seconds I actually never even realised that I could’ve just held the elemental skill button thing and so I had to retry that thing multiple times and I’m pretty sure I barely used lisa. I also managed to forget about the plunging attacks or whatever they’re called and so when I saw someone doing that I thought it was just the character they were using so I thought wow that’s a really op character I need that one
I love this series, its so refreshing to watch new players just enjoying the game and not concentrating on the primos or meta. While yes some characters are better than others kit wise whats most important is if you like youre characters and have fun.
Also ley lines are the blue or yellow smoke clumps. The blue ones will give you material to level up characters, and the yellow ones give you "Mora" the currency of Teyvat.
So in domian or tample when you got trial charactet (in this tample Lisa) you can have full party and then she will be on 5 button and you will have 5 characters.
Go to Adventer Gulid to get a reward for Lvl.
Im inventory you have meals with a green plus. This meal can heal you too and its so much better then statue of the seven bc you can use it in a fight.

a few tips of advice
-if you enter too far into a red area (where the borders are), your character will automatically move backwards (this often gets you killed, especially in domains)
-the applied element logo will appear on top of enemy heads
-take your time to explore whatever areas you would like (also please don’t make the mistake of using Kaeya to ice-bridge over to Inazuma like I did)
-You should look at weapon passives and stats (the text below the name of the weapon)
-Make sure to login daily to do commissions (it rewards you with 40 primogems and some other small perks plus a bonus if you return to Katheryne)

Next time you're about to fall down a cliff, try using your normal attack mid-air. Plunging will reduce the fall damage.
You have not completed the prologue, by the way; the entirety of Mondstadt is the prologue. Chapter 1 is in the next nation.
39:10 That statue can give you a chest if you bring a seelie to it which looks like a floating blue bird and the only thing you need to do is come close to the seelie and it will start going to the statue. An easy way to find these seelies is to use elemental sight(middle mouse button) next to the statue and then it will show you in what direction you need to go to find the seelie.
