Ahh! I am starting my first year as a public school K-2 SPED teacher this school year (I was a Head Start teacher for almost 20 years!) and I can totally see me trying this at the end of next school year! I think it would be so fun!! I had fun just watching your video. Thank you so much for sharing your classroom, I have learned a lot of new ideas that I can use in my own classroom and I am so excited to get started!

You are the cutest! I am so inspired.
From following you, I wanted to move to 1st grade. That wasn’t God’s plan for me. I kept applying and interviewing for 1st grade positions, but never got them. I ran into a friend that teaches 6th grade, and she said her team was looking for an ELA teacher. I said no way, bc I was trying to move to 1st!! I had only ever taught 2nd and 3rd. I did end up joining her team in 6th grade, and I love it. However, when I grow up (I am 39), I want to be you!! Haha. I want to bring the excitement, wonder, and passion into my classroom, just as you do. While I love 6th grade, I don’t LOVE teaching ELA (I only teach the writing, grammar and spelling portions. 😢). Reading is my passion.
