always been using 63/37, its the best for every occasion but others have their certain uses
tin 63% lead 37%
sac305 lead free solder
My prefered solder is SnPb 60/40 core flux IS Z 3283 ROL0. In Europe is not allowed by the RoHS directive (40% Pb), it can be used only in repair and maintenance.
Pb is not good for health.
So I use 99% Sn + 1%Ag with more flux.
@@aneeshps218 37% lead but lead free ???
Ahhh so I’ve been using 30% solder for the past few decades. Nice.
Literally
Yes youtube you got that right, this morning when i woke up and decided i wanted to watch soldering videos
I didn’t decide it, but I am okay with it
thank you
I didn't ask for it, and now half of my room is filled with electrical shitfuckery, my blood is 30% lead, I'm obsessively soldering shit up or down. Turns out I had a semi-hidden knack for it. All my life, from the very beginning I preferred Legos over cool toys. I disassembled shit up to see how it works, and now? I'm a maniac. Im a fucking doofenshmirtz, locked up in my tinkering HQ, poisoning my roommates with lead. One can question the meaning of life, and the other one just escapes his mind into pointless engineering in order to forget. What? You think it's my job? Education? I quit high school for this. My life is on edge, but I'm NOT CRAZY. I wasn't crazy. I'm normal! Just LIKE YOU. Just like everyone.
This is also your fate. You and I are the slaves of Sn60Pb40.
Sacrifice must be made. They call me Solder Boy.
💯 perfect 63%
30% look nice xD
I concur, is beautiful, 99% is probably too soft to work with, 63 all day long...👍
Did you notice that the plating was a different color under the 63%? And 63% what? 63% solder? Define solder. With a video like this you can't assume you know what they mean when they don't specify.
@@IntenseGridgoogle it...... these are the proper terms
I've never used this before but 63 looks to be the best in my opinion
Dude the solder did you dirty 😂
Then the fumes make you go crazy😂😂
Lmao the solder 63% reflecting 😆
99% and say no more. Best choice purity/healthy
Haha I can tell you've never used solder. 99?? Seriously? 😂
Bro has never touched a soldering iron
The other 40% is lead, it gives it a nice shine and flow plus protection, like in paint. Wash your hands and be in ventilated room, don't be like me and eat it
🤣
But... but... it tastes sweet...
He should have cleared the soldering tip
Meh, lead wont hurt you unless you are in its way travelling 980 feet per second or better.
@@goldbaron357 Hahaha!!! I order crappy chinese lead solder and i can say they're practically bullets themselves with the moisture content (I got shot in the face by a lead driplet)
Cool, thanks
Thanks for watching!
My favorites are actually 4 metals Sn/Pb/Ag/Cu AKA Cardas Quad Eutectic and Fire Metal Eutectic, they melt at 350c . Try them you won't want to go back. . .
Pb was super easy to work with but it is banish from most countries now.
Had a piece of copper under the 63 😂
Yeah they all had pads underneath, it just looks like the top one wasn't pre tinned
So, what we're seeing is that 63% is the absolute best.
Got it!
I want this bro everything we buy is cheap...
63% and 45 are the best
Gotta get FLUID 👌👍
the guys are actually there raking😂😂
You definitely added less flux for 30% and 45%.
Ones also on bare copper while the other ones are finished/tinned already. Odd way to test.
Very interesting.
I can smell the fumes 😊
None of these joints would pass NASA standards.
The 63% has flux. So you don't need to add it. Like you normally would with regular solder.
its tin and lead ratio?
Back in the last century when they got the lead out, I was a sad panda.
It also depends on the flux you use
Just use 60/40, perfect balance
What material is "solder"?
I like 63
hoooo top c'est instructif merci
Temperature ? 350°C 450°C ?
While pretending we don't see that 63% is applied to a copper surface and the others to a different surface.😅😅😅😅
%63 is Cooper surface, other are not.
and flux
@@MegaPazu 99 got lot flux, 45 got flux too but less than 63%
Cooper ? Whaaaat !? 😂
Damn you're right.
That explains why most of the time I get the 30% result
I have a little question, why is the only square with copper exposed on the first one, and not at all in the others?
63 percent seems best
Super disappointed in the 30% solder
Why did you not clean the tip after each one?
Remember; ALWAYS use a fan of any kind that can give you adequate ventilation. Breathing that in is extremely toxic.
Actually maybe, but lead cant evaporate at such temperature. But flux can, so the problem isn't in the solder itself
What IS solder
63 🆗💯✅👍
63 perfect
Clean between solder procedure
Why didn't you clean up the sothering iron after meddling with the 30 and 45%?
I think I’m using 50% but I use a generous amount of flux. Seems like perfect 63% to me. Is there a benefit to having the wire 63% and not using flux?
What is the solder for?
Is there even any use for 30%?
63/37 kester all day
The first contact was copper plated
63/37 is eutectic. The lowest melting point. It’s Greek for “easily melted”.
Danke für die Info brd.
They are all solder. Depends on the alloy mix and flux how it solders
We can't find high quality.
63 best ❤
i always knew that am a good solder ..its just that i have been using bad wires all my life
😂😂😂
What is the effect of 69% solder
i smell the fumes through the screen
Tell me you dont know shit about soldering, without telling me you dont know shit about soldering.
What is flux?
but ik soldering k?
@@WebHosting-q7c Is a surface cleaner for soft soldering mainly Sn solder. On solder industries ther are a lot of types, rosin or resin, with halogen or halogen free, solder core or liquid. . Take a look to IPC (J-STD-004) standard.
Not enough heat. all is good
You mean…you heat the pad and not the solder? This shows nothing.
It depends on what u are working
The 30% solders won't melt If some of those 63% solders doesn't stick to that soldering iron.....😅😅😅
Only the first wad on copper and for some reason they did a jump cut on the second after letting it cool down around the iron
For no flux 63% did great
63 is good 👍
Americans. Notice the ‘l’ in ‘solder’?
Butter Jelly
Who all have observed face in 63% solder😅
It is all 100 percent solder... they are all solders made with different percentage of lead and silver.
Different percentages of lead and tin you mean except the last one which is 99% tin and the remaining 1% might be silver or antimony.
50/50?
SOLDIER
Copper spot and others
Nice face reveal blud
How to decide which one to use?
63%is best 99% is easy for smaller devices
63 ficou top
Use what u got
I think they meant to say tin for the percentage and you never see 30 or 45 % tin but if they would have added flux and raised the temperature it would have flown just fine.
30% solder 😂😂😂
Bro just use more heat
% of what?
Not a flux given
Just make sure you never get the one percent silver solder… don’t ask me how I know.
The first soldering is 99% correct, I am also a technician😅 , so you, it is not true that the first solder is 63%
When I solder , I use 100% solder. If its 99% solder whats the other 1%, cheeseburger?
the perfict 63% and 99%
63% best
Why 63% is better than 99%??
Is it not tin?
It is. The percentages are tin content. The remaining bit is lead. Whoever made this doesn't know how any of it works. It's basically like saying a sedan gets good mileage so all other passenger vehicle types are bad.
Ummm…. Is it me or does the first pad seem like the only one that actually has copper pad instead of just blank non metallic backing?
63🎉🎉❤
you gotta add the flux
Eso depende de la proporcion estaño-plomo.
63 es el bueno
Next time work from 99% down skipping around you contaminated the 99%
