I have an 18cm wrist but went with the 35mm PRX quartz. It’s such a comfortable wear & doesn’t look out of place. Having said that I have numerous vintage watches with dials around 28-32mm & love wearing them. 👍🏼
Its all realtive, up til a year ago i wouldnt touch anything sub 40, now the style has changed and im exclusively buying 35-38. I picked up a smiths explorer and im in love.
@ That’s a furbelow, not an enhancement. Sometimes less is more, as is amply shown in the PRX: more and more crap is larded on, getting farther and farther away from the designer’s original vision.
I really like the waffle pattern on the Auto Prxs. That's why I got the 35mm ice blue auto instead of the quartz. The mint green quartz has a nice vertical brushing on the dial that the others don't have, for some reason.
i'm a painter so i do all my work clothes shopping at goodwill, i was there to buy some new work shorts over the summer and as a habit i look in the cheap jewelry showcase and this particular sunday i found with the plastic still on the crystals and backs and buckles and bracelet for one of them, i found 2 hamilton khaki watches one white dial one black, i found two seiko dive watches one orange dial one dark blue a bouldr dive watch my first bouldr it had the internal bezel and pressure relief valve and a casio oceanus s100, i took the seiko's down to the pawn shop got enough for their sale to put 4 new tires on my girlfriends maxima sold the two hamiltons paid my half of the rent for the month and sold the bouldr and filled my work truck and her maxima at 3.19 a gallon i still have the oceanus and i'm keeping it because i don't mind solar and quartz but i do not like automatic watches. so anyway i paid $7.99 for each watch so i paid less than 50 bucks for 3 grand worth of wrist watches
I have the larger Certina DS in Titanium and absolutely love it, what really surprised me was how accurate the Powermatic 80 is. Mine is around +1 second a day.
I love Certina. It’s my favorite brand. But people have been saying it’s about to “take off” for years, and nothing happens. The brand’s popularity is growing, but only incrementally.
Please stop apologising for your Dyslexia. I have suffered with Dyslexia for all my 50 years on this planet and recently I've come to terms with it. If anyone has an issue with my Dyslexia its their problem not mine. Great video as always keep up the great work
Powermatic 80 isn’t always the same. The PRX was launched with a 23-jewel movement containing plastic components (low grade ETA) while the Gentlemen was launched with a 25-jewel (high grade ETA) movement silicon balance spring. So don’t think all powermatic 80 movements are the same. Check the jewel amount in the inscription on the back of the watch.
I’d guess it’s like that to be in line with the centre of the right and bottom subdials. So you could make a right angle if you drew lines between them. I hate it, this watch would be far better without a date imo
The way to pronounce "tsu" is like saying "tissue", but you smoosh the syllables together and say it quickly. Not like "sue", as in "I will sue you" with the duck lips, but you stick your tongue between your teeth and exhale. "Tsu"... "Tsukemen"... "Tsuyosa"... Also the first syllable in Miyota is pronounced like "Me" or like Wii's Mii avatar, Mickey Mouse. Not "My".
Ciao a tutti
Sir I am a student I have a small wrist I can't afford any watch in this video as i am from India 🇮🇳 ,my budget is a 4 dollar,so I can't afford a watch, So please can you please do giveaway for slim wrists especially for students,If I get It I would be greatfull to you
I have the most scrawny bitch wrists imaginable and I recommend the following affordable watches, Revelot Hexmariner 39mm but wears smaller, Orient Bambino 37mm, any original Seiko 5 they are all 37mm,
Harrison 79% of your content is watches for slim wrists. Anything over 38mm or a lug to lug over 46 and people piss and moan like it’s a dinner plate they have to wear. Also PRX and Hamilton Khaki is played like omega speedy and Tudor are. Love your photography though.
Hey mate, I’d actually disagree here, our last 5 videos have been on different subjects, for example ‘The Best New Watches Right Now’ or ‘My New Watch’. Sometimes the algorithm doesn’t show you all the videos but if you take a look you’ll see them 👌
@ correct, and sorry for assuming correct pronunciation for all the syllables… which was already correct for the rest. But my point here was to to be helpful with the struggles of ‘Tsu’ 😉
These are affordable luxury watches in this video. Entry level Tudor is £2k, entry level Omega is £4k, entry level Rolex £6k, Zenith £6k, Glashutte £7k. There are lots of other channels for cheap watches like Casio and Timex.
Sick to death of all this slim wrist stuff. It's so boring and 'wristist'!!! Watches come in all sizes, but it's only the slim wristed that complain rather than buy. When is the best watch and best affordable watch specifically for medium (normal) and large wrists video coming??!! Never I'm guessing as it is not an advert for YOUR company Chisholm Hunter to sell watches, which is what this video is really all about.
You large wristed folk can wear anything you like. It’s purely subjective if you think a watch looks too small on you. Whereas slim wrists simply can’t wear larger watches - it’s uncomfortable and impractical. There’s a big difference. And duh, this, (and most high quality watch UA-cam content) wouldn’t exist if not financed by companies trying to sell you something.
@ Who said I was large wristed?? There is no difference lol It's always subjective! There are watches of all sizes, and wrists of all sizes, but it's very very rare that guys complain rudely that watches are too small ; ) Nothing wrong with advertising/trying to make sales, but most advertising is regulated, whereas UA-cam is varying degrees of disingenuousness.

The 35mm PRX makes much more sense than the 40mm for slim wrists
The 40mm looks like a dinner plate on small wrists 😂
I have an 18cm wrist but went with the 35mm PRX quartz. It’s such a comfortable wear & doesn’t look out of place. Having said that I have numerous vintage watches with dials around 28-32mm & love wearing them. 👍🏼
I came to the comment section just to say the same.
The perfect example of a a watch that despite its on-paper size looks horrible on small wrists
I tried both (6.25in wrist) and it was the width of the bracelet that made the watch look so big on me rather than the case.
@grouchos_tash for me its a combination of effective lug to lug with how flat the case is (doesn't curve down, conform to the wrist)
Its all realtive, up til a year ago i wouldnt touch anything sub 40, now the style has changed and im exclusively buying 35-38. I picked up a smiths explorer and im in love.
same for me!small is so much classier once you put it on
Big fan of Citizen. Have added 3 to my collection so far. Very pretty pieces
Get the 35mm PRX quartz. It sits more comfortably on the wrist, lighter, has a cleaner dial, and costs about 50% off the auto.
@@Area_man115 auto has a framed date window tho

I am Harrison….as always..it never gets old!
I'd love the Tissot 1938 Heritage COSC to be in 36-37mm. It seems to be good value for a chronometer spec dress watch, but annoyingly at 39mm.

As somebody with a larger wrist, the current trend for smaller case sizes, is concerning.
Hamilton Expedition 37mm👍
Yes. I’m surprised this was not his Hamilton choice.
That Baltic is beautiful. It wears quite big, though! It’s tall, the lugs are long, and don’t really narrow a lot.
What are the other Certina’s you showed, esp square shaped diver with Nato?

I have the Certina DS+ and i’m enjoying it very much!!!
Si eu am unul si e superb😎
Citizen zenshin not mentioned?
Agree about Certina. The watches are lovely but the lack of brand recognition is potentially holding them back. Whatever, I like em 😊
Hesalite is a Swatch Group/ Omega trademark for plexiglass. Pretty sure the Baltic isn't paying Swatch to use that term.
Maen Hudson is soooo gooood!
The 36mm and less watches or women’s watches basically are a huge cost savings by thousands of dollars especially for Rolex.
Yes, the steel Datejust 36 is 600 bucks less than the 41, a massive difference !
@ if you look on gray markets you find women’s 36mm Datejust for $5k less all day where as the 41mm men’s Datejust run $8k+.
Coming from small wrist gang 5.25cm the 40 prx is to big due to the lug to lug. But I love the recs and glad they have the 35
Feel for you. I thought my 6.5 inch wrist was small! Bet you rock the 34mm vintage seamasters!
@@markaochoa2017 me too!! 3.5 inch wrist here !!

Why isn't the date window on the Seiko Speedtimer centered between the 4 and 5 o'clock makers?
I’d guess it’s like that to be in line with the centre of the right and bottom subdials. So you could make a right angle if you drew lines between them. I hate it, this watch would be far better without a date imo
Is anyone else over the hamilton khaki mechanical and seiko speedtimer? Theres definitely more out there
Like what ?
Ill add Lorier Falcon and Neptune, and more expensive the doxa 200t you presented
enjoyed it
anyone any extended experience with hesalite glass? can you buff out scratches as they say?
Yes, it’s quite easy with Polywatch.
Would have a Certina every day of the week before the Hamilton or that bloody PRX
I bought an Omega seamaster 2551.80
I have really small wrist so it had to be the mid size
Take a shot every time he says brilliant
My favourite is Seiko 5 Sports SRPJ83K... A great and a better alternative to Hamilton imho.
Tudor 1926, black dial, leather strap, 36 mm, 2000 €. If you want to spend less, Longines Conquest Classic, quartz, 36 mm, more or less 1000 €
