Can’t believe there’s only 1500 games in that room, I would have guessed at double that. I’m currently sitting at just shy of 5500 - and am out of space. lol. Want to go for the Master System full PAL set, as that was the 1st console I bought for myself, and the nostalgia with the box art is real! Also love collecting for the Atari 2600, as my older sister bought one, and it was my first introduction to gaming. Currently at just over 200 for the 2600, and 252 for the master system, so a long way off on both of those. Really loving your content, I now live in the countryside of SW France, so really missing being able to browse the shelves of CEX.
You have a great mix of collections there, the 360 is easily my fave to collect for right now, I've just passed the 400 mark with a rough total of 1400 titles in the games room, 80's Sega to current xbox.
I know you've never shown an interest in import gaming but i think you'd absolutely love the Japanese Saturn. The 2d ports on it are legendary. As a PlayStation man myself my mind was blown when i tried X-men vs Street Fighter on the Saturn when compared to Sony's port. It was on another level. Great stuff Callum. Your passion for gaming is very infectious 🙂👍
@@RetroGhetto I hear you bro but not that I'm trying to sway you or anything 😉 but getting a Japanese Saturn is fairly inexpensive. If you wanted just the Capcom games they're not very expensive either. In many instances much cheaper than the pal snes. They'd make a nice small subset.
Saturn definitely was the best version of any to the games. I just started collecting Japanese Saturn games because it’s actually affordable ,a lot of the fighting games You don’t really need to speak the language to be able to play.
Fantastic, I'm going for the full 360 set. I'm at just under 800 games just now. My loft conversion begins tomorrow which will be my games room, cant wait to have them on display 😁
I've got enough voucher money in cex for a Ps5 plus a few games but I've not wanted to go out and get one whilst I still have loads of older games on the PS1, PS2, Ps3, PS4, Xbox, 360, DA, 3DS, Switch etc that I want to get through before I get one. Started actively completing playing through my catalogue of games this year, alternating in reading books between games to get through my book backlog too. It has worked, Completed about 24 games on various consoles, and read 24 books too so it has helped clear some space on my shelves and made me want to play different games rather than just sit there for hours playing fifa or cod etc
I'm surprised you don't use an app to track your games, my favourite system would have to be the N64, have 55 games for it, 716 games in total, had a few years away from gaming but during covid found the love again.
Nice to see a break down of the collection and see how many you have for each console. Ps1 was the collection I got rid off as no nostalgia for me as never owned one as a kid.
Amazing! One of the best collection out there. On a side note does anyone knows if the lED lights are safe to shine on game boxes? Would it cause fading? Or is it only sunlight that causes fading?
@@ErikLosLobos Retro bird on UA-cam had his mega drive games faded by an led light and highlighted it in a video a while back - It was the games closest to his display light that suffered!!
Amazing collection. So many games. Have you heard of "not more games with nick berry, or he might be under nick berry games"? he probably has 15 hundred just in his kitchen. Hes got thousands of games!
Nice update Callum. I need to do something similar myself. I’ve recently went through my MD collection just so I know what I’m sitting on, it’s nowhere near what you’ve got, but I have a nice curated set of games that I’m happy with and they’re all Japanese too :). I’ve I can get to a set number of titles for all my retro systems then I’ll be happy with that. If anything new comes my way then I’ll simply sell one so I keep the collections in check. Though no love for the PS4. You’re missing out, it’s a TREASURE trove do modern retro games, oh and the shooters. Probably the best shooter library of any console. Great stuff mate and take it easy.
I never said I have no love for PS4 mate... in fact I said I'll be focusing on it more going forwards.... agreed! A fantastic library, thank you Dylan appreciate you watching as always my friend
A game I would recommend you picking up is the conduit 2 on the Wii, £5 in CeX with only 2 in stock, goes for at least triple to quadruple everywhere else, be worth getting before it rockets 🚀 n price
I feel the same about the megadrive now, buy as many as I can and not bothered if I get to play them or not, the artwork is fabulous on them 👌 I keep saying I need to get an xbox 360, great memories of playing it during my college years and many great games on there. I don't have any nostalgia for ps3 as it wasn't one I had. Cheers callum as always!
Great video, really enjoyed your take on each collection. I can see the PS1 collection is on borrowed time lol! My PS1 and Saturn collections are my main retro collections, along with Dreamcast, although i do have a modest collection for the MegaDrive and SNES, around 20 or so each and a handful of Mega CD and 32X games. All in i have around 250 ish, including my Wii U, 3DS, and Switch collections. Although i could be way out, maybe i should count them 🤔 lol!
See I love collecting for the PS1 for exactly the same reason you don't - I had a chipped PS1/2 as a kid so now I get to own the real thing and read all the manuals 😂 PS1 is my favourite platform to collect for after the PS3 - something about those PS1 jewel cases! Sad to hear the PS1 could be on the chopping block, I'll throw a bid in if it comes to that!
Great video my guess was a higher total i collect for the Xbox 360 i currently own 438 titles i have some way to go. But each journey starts with the first step.
Currently at 3376 physical games in my games room , I don't know how many i have in storage as i have no space to put them ,but they include japanese stuff ( Pc Engine , Fm towns, neo geo , sharp x68000, snes and megadrive. Currently going through my boxed amiga and Atart St games, I also have tonnes of Commodore 64 and Atari 800 boxed complete, and various Amiga computers ( A3000 , A4000, A1200, A1500 ) and many many more .
Do you have Auto Modelista? Picked it up recently and it’s quickly become one of my go to ps2 games, the art style holds up so well I think you’d enjoy it
Man that’s incredible, what a collection. Gonna get some hate from this but why don’t you part with the ps1 and game cube collection if you’re not feeling them? Then use the dollar for the other collections you care about?
I bet there are a lot of Mega Drive collectors getting itchy skin and the cold sweats seeing missing hang tabs on many of your game boxes. Never understood why collectors do that to themselves! It’s not like anyone hangs them in their wardrobe. Or maybe they do? 😂
sell that switch tat and come to the blue side ;) Maybe if you sold the stuart little and monopoly games, and replace them with bangers like rapid reload you might enjoy it more? just keep a handfull of bangers! Im kind of happy i got rid of my PS2 collection, i realised i didnt enjoy the library like i do others! all this shmup talk is lacking a Sega Saturn or import section ;) great overview!
Good vlog m8 enjoyed todays chat. On the switch front i've been waiting ages for the prices to come down but alas they keep going up plus more and more titles added it's becoming impossible to think of how many titles there is going to be when it's done haha. I have 2 games for the switch with steel books and if theres a monster hunter game in the console I have that too haha but money is not infinate and having every penny accounted foe at the moment for my ongoing Wii collection the switch will have to wait but one day maybe if I become rich beyond all imagine I will collect the million and one titles available on that console. Ps4 is one I have few of like you just the ones I bought for the kids really same as xbox one and 360
@@RetroGhetto only reason I mentioned is at some point they will turn off PS3 servers and all games will become irrelevant. Hence why I don’t collect PS3 anymore….
