It s been a long time since a song broke my heart. This one did. I was always an extremely sensitive child that could sense people's pain. I have too many feelings and so intense. It's rather a curse then a blessing. Now as an adult i struggle with depression and ptsd due to a great loss in my life. My mom always says toughen up,you're almost 40, why do you have to be like that? Now don't get me wrong i don't cry when i see sunset,etc,i'm not that softie. But it hurts to feel so much without beeing understand. I was born with this soul and that is why this songs speaks to me like no human can.
Hugs... Know that you are not alone... And even if you are... Do not be lonely. To know how you feel is a blessing... to feel is to be alive... to be alive is to have an opportunity to live.... Live life... Let the pains remind you how alive you are. Take courage and be brave... Perhaps let us focus more on understanding others rather than long for others to understand us... Good luck...

I had always loved this song, but never listened to the lyrics. I didn't pay attention until my mother in law sang it to me while hugging me after I came out of the mental hospital for an attempt. The next day, she gave me my first easel and canvas. She knew he was my favorite artist and she use to remind me that I was her Vincent, her tortured artist who is too beautiful for the world.
