Ill just comment like it does or like someone else will actually read it. In western music we have a genre called rock, im sure everyone on earth knows what rock music is. On some electric guitars theres a device called a whammy bar, theres also a fretted string instrument technique called string bending. String bending is when someone plays a note then.....bends the string, or bends the string then strikes it and releases the bend. A whammy bar is used to relive or add tension to the strings depending on whether the bridge floats or not. Could using string bending techniques or a whammy bar be analogous to a gamak? If a note is vibrating at 440 hz and you bend the string it will, for a fraction of a millisecond, vibrate at 441 hz then 442hz then 443 hz then 444 hz amd so on so on until the bend is stopped. The vocal effect im hearing sounds exactly like, and i mean 100% exactly like a vocal version of a string bend or a guitars whammy bar.
