- Bansko 10/10 pistes: 2022 season is the best ever. In this snow report Alex and I are euphoric at the incredible on piste conditions. Nothing more could be asked for. Really nicely groomed pistes are here. It’s not even that busy today. The ski road has snowmaking on it which makes it a little bit tricky to ski down. Next seven days looking sunny. A big dump of snow arrives Saturday 21st January. :)

In the gondola on our way back up to the top. Lance is right conditions are superb. Be warned though the Gondola queue in the morning is an absolute joke. Way too many people for the size of the resort. We have been 5 times now but not sure we will be back. The Gondola staff could do with going on a customer service course. Overall the week has been good but it is one of the quieter weeks. Great blog Lance we've used it a lot while in resort thanks 😊
I am looking at booking to go early march. Looks a great little resort but getting really put off by the gondola lift horror stories.
@@neil.4725 gondola thing is completely political as in owner guy is like we need more gondolas - gov says no.. gondola starts working at 1/3 of top speed - owner is like see the people waiting we need to build more and so on..
on the bright side you need take the gondola only once to get to the ski area

Meant to be there on Feb 5th - hiring skis but wondered if there were lockers to leave skis in near the gondola? We have a walk of about 600m to the Hotel Lion and wondered if we could avoid carrying the skis every day back and forth?
Our partner’s ski shops are 50 metres from the lift. Most people leave skis overnight in shop. Boots dried overnight too. Never walk far in ski boots.

Gary it is better to take skis to hotel so as not to que every morning we staying at lion same week think there is a shuttle bus service to and from hotel

Lance do you have any info on traveling from Germany to Bulgaria Bansko, going to Bulgaria coming back seems straight forward as Germany has lost control anyways.
Hey Lance, been watching your videos for the last 3 seasons. Can you share a bit about local restrictions? Are the bars/apre-skis fully open?
Yes the bars and apres-ski are fully open. If you watch yesterdays video you will see I talk about the local restrictions. When you come here it will feel relaxed.

best to get taxi up. It will probably be busy most days from now on. Always weekends will be busy.
