I don't know the cult you mention but the message of Papaji and Ramana has nothing to do with believing anything but discover for yourself by directly enquiring into the source of the mind: "Who am I?" Try it out, you have nothing to lose.

Blessings to Papaji, to Maharash, to Mooji, for the teachings and for your insights. Blessed are those who are empty to receive the insights. Although insight cannot be given or received, it is a grace which comes when one is ready and open and empty to perceive.
Roger Fontaine so they say, but they also say determination and earnestness is key. The concept of grace is dangerous because it can be misinterpreted as an excuse to be lazy and wait for it to happen. This is not how it works. Grace is everything. Grace also is the determination to use all your free time to answer the question “who am I?”. It’s not just the moment of enlightenment. It’s all grace. You reading these words is grace. You understanding that “grace” is not an excuse to wait for something to happen is grace. This is what the great sages say.
@@robmaric you are absolutely right. For me, when I had a contact to "God, Grace, Truth, Self, etc" - which has no word to describe it - I could never be the same back, and now I pursuit that kind of awareness even knowing it is already here. Reality is stranger than fiction, we just don't wanna see and feel better with the "ordinary"

Like many, I had always believed that liberation, freedom from birth and suffering, was the seeker’s goal.
After watching this video I recalled sitting once with my guru. I asked him, “Yogiji, do you think you will be reborn?”
“I hope so!!!” came the astonishing reply. I was stunned. How could a guru wish to be reborn, I wondered? Still incredulous, I asked, “Why?”
“To discover inner beauty,” he answered.

What Papaji is trying to communicate - is something like this.we are neither the body nor the mind.There is only one Soul without a second and is known by many names viz., God, Guru, self and consciousness and for which there is no birth or death and we are that.Unfulfilled desires takes up a body, life after life, until all desires are extinguished.It is possible for all of us to be free from this viscious cycle of births and deaths, in this very life and in this very moment, by being just what you are.Trying to become something or someone, other than what we are, is bondage and simply living life the way it is meant to be, is freedom.Don't give any colour to this state of being.We are not the doers, but only a witness to whatever is happening around us and accept whatever happens in life with equanimity.Then you are free for ever !
My whole life I asked myself why was I born… I want to know the truth, why am I constantly suffering ?
Now that I’m older I ask myself “am I in this world because of my attachment to suffering ?”
& believe the extent to which you want ( desire) things in life is the extent to which you will continuously experience your own suffering here on earth.
Watching this video gave me the shivers.
After listening Papaji’s talk, I look around my place and myself. All these things. What a fuss due to ignorance “my life” is. The farthest place to reach was to myself, indeed.

My depression from no where landed me on this site many times .I am dumb founded in my physical world and inside I am tormented by why was i born, how does my life help this existence. Life was definitely easier without these inner demons .Has my self rejected me . I really need answers and /or energy to live this life. What use my being called God's child when every other existence is living peacefully and I do not know who i am and being punished for taking birth for no fault of mine.
Like you my dear friend I have battlesd depression my whole life ...I’ve tried everything it has lead me to alcohol..food anything to break from its grip. I’ve tried medication and therapy and alternative treatments....all to no avail.
I am writing this to try and give you my deepest support...
I did have a breakthrough recently...I actually had a realization that I go to depression like I went to alcohol....I like how it feels....even though it is a horrible hell...part of me welcomes the familiar comfort of depression....I’m learning slowly to become an observer of my thoughts ...of my mind if you like.
Sometimes thoughts come ...like fear of financial insecurity or loneliness or big fears of futility of life etc...I listen to these thoughts now but I am much more discerning and I then I ask them to leave my mind after they have shared...and it is always the same negative no hope on the horizon impending doom stuff...it’s all nonsense....you can take back your mind .
You are the master....get a hold of your thoughts like they are a team of horses pulling a carriage...you are the driver you call the shots...They may rear up and frighten you but pull in the reigns take control...yes it is chemical but thoughts are chemical and electrical and you can win.
First step is to watch as observer become separate from yourself...become aware , mindful.

Papaji uses very few words, but each word needs to be understood in the way he uses it, usually, spiritually or philosophically. Seen rightly, he delivers the same important message as Plato, Buddha, and Jesus--without all the verbiage and camouflage and deadends. But he must be listened to carefully and respectfully because he speaks the truth, and Gandhi said that God is truth. If you're just looking for ways to disprove or embarrass him, you will miss the point and remain lost in confusion and unhappiness. You have to be willing to trust that someone actually knows the truth and is ready, willing, and able to communicate it, to give it to you, if you're ready, willing, and able to receive it. Many of us are not, and the transfer of knowledge cannot be forced. For some people, it seems to come easy; for the rest of us, it may not happen at all. And that is sad. So, for some people, life is heavenly; for others, it's hellish. That may not be fair, but apparently that's just the way it has to be for now, at least.

Elizabeth Clapp I 'm an admirer of Papaji and his disciple Mooji. They are great spiritual masters in the Advaita tradition. As far as life being hellish or heavenly, its karma and we earned it. Some people think life isn't fair. I feel that life is absolutely fair. A wave can pretend to be the Ocean , therefore beware of the mind made self that believes it can be or is enlightened.
Still the mind, which only a bundle of thoughts, and the mind made self disappears, the wave merges into the deep still Ocean, I have found TM...very effective and easy to do.
As there is no person,how can there be free will, what or who is choosing anything ? maybe things just happen and we think we are choosing........

it can be really hard. at least 3-4 years ago i really got the effect from the teachings. who is the perceiver? now take a step back even further-all of life truly is a reality - not a realities reality.
but in the ebb and flow of this true. effortlessness, ive found myself again in suffering and pain but seemingly from the world around me. feeling like i'm still part of a sacrifice generation- one where true love is not yet fully embraced by the world. true love doesnt hurt, is also effortless.
to be brought against my will by those lower than me through the passive agressive cause and effect of their unresolved trauma- very challenging in todays world.
i remember a comment about how one of the papaji satsang members had committed suicide.
and although it brings pain, pain that i have been given not only the lesson of in the past but the recognition of, that any pain is not deserved. any pain can be evolved from. any pain.
even here i can start thinking about the greatest meaning of death and sacrifice- a true emotional height, a true human story, like a classic movie.
overcome the fear.
overcome the bags.
the papaji teaching is so strong that it can even lose to enemies-it can take you to the head of the kings of the infinite armies outstretched- all you need to do is to say one word and there will be peace, and internal peace- and that is impossible with this teaching. one cannot act- the body takes care of itself.

On my humble opinion the idea that there is reincarnation comes from identification with the body, once we know in the heart that we are not the body, that idea disappears.
Desires and aversions are produced by the false self, and obviously they generate suffering, it's better to focus on awareness instead, it takes a little practice/effort on the beginning but soon we become more conscious until we live it fully.

Birth and death are definately not ideas. We are born and die and that's a fact. Asfar as science goes it is fact that everyone that has walked the earth was born and had died.

@@sinkec I can experience my birth from the womb, and can experience sounds from the mother's voice inside the amniotic sack. Your question: Can you experience your death? just leads to more questions as science has not been able to find anything out with regards to that. You would need a scientist or another person on the end to end the question once and for all.
martynblackburn1977 you see, everything we think we know is conceptual, mind is incapable of reaching beyond itself - finite cannot ever become infinite, this is why everything around us can only exist as ideas including science which is limited to its relative truths in our relative world :)

the point is it doesnt really matter why you were born. Nothing really means anything. In order for something to have meaning it means there is value. Life is priceless, this univerese is priceless. Anything that has value is that of the mind. And the mind is a big illusion, in reality what your are experiencing as "life" is a illusion. This is a dream .

My desires are gone,same with fear, the me I thought I was aswell.
Is like I'm not myself anymore. People around me tell me I'm weird,and beauty,and love? I feel only peace,no other emotions. Some weird light energy went all over my body,and it controls it somehow. I'm in control only when I'm drunk. I feel supressed by this energy and in my mind is chaos. I can make sence of anything and the freaking voices are very anyoing. So I would say spiritual awakening is more like a schizofrenic,but a peacefull one.
