I would get bored if this ad was shown on TV because it feels too long, but the footing is AMAZING and well edited. One could call the experience an eye-gasm😂
Stunning! I love the time lapse of the night sky. It shows the connection between Tesla and SpaceX. Thus actually reminds me of the SpaceX commercial which showed an old man and his granddaughter stargazing, and the little girl pointed to a little blue dot and asked what planet that was and the old man smiled, remembering and replied, "That...is Earth." One of the most stunning commercials ever because we could colonize mars very soon.
bkgarceau 100 years from now, Elon will be remembered as one of the greatest minds of humanity. He will be revered just as Einstein, bill gates, Nikola Tesla, etc are. We are very lucky to be alive at the same time as him.
This Video and Tesla are absolutely stunning! There is this feeling of a better tomorrow and an adventurous voice which tells me "improvements [to the better] and the universe are endless" and it is our chance and our drive to push it to the limits and fight against the bad.
Glad you like it! Actually its a custom track we made for the video! But the artist is ANDY HUNTER and he has many other songs like it! Check him out! ua-cam.com/users/djandyhunter
The pictures are amazing. Really nice job. But I'm kind of missing the message. It started perfectly (the guy awakening to the future was a superb analogy), but then it got too long and got lost somewhere, just showing pictures. A little bit shorter would've probably been better.
Really about the future simplicity of a weekend trip in a Tesla... but that future is now. It allows us the chance to get out of the mundane trappings of the city and find ourselves, shut off from our devices and screens as we return to the beautiful simplicities of our universe. Something like that...
valberm It's perfect. Simple, inspiring and creates a feeling as opposed to a one minute data dump. You see public transpo in the background juxtaposed with newer tech (Tesla) to reduce emissions, a stop at a supercharger network and some pig skin tossing to show it's a fun way to take a break off the road, windmills to showcase another greentech, and then a destination which includes stargazing and enjoying nature with friends. Message is more than complete.
I appreciate the production of your video! I just think a slight change in the end portion would make it perfect...the shots of the car still (not moving) are just a bit long, and it would be cool if everyone hopped back in and drove off with the last shot of the car from (zoomed in ) the Tesla logo (on the car) and driving off, transitioning into a Tesla logo screen, ...this part would be very short. Great work! You get my vote for overall production, and cinematography, still deciding which of 3 to vote for the ad winner.
Thanks, glad to hear you enjoyed it! As far as gear for the time-lapses... I used two Canon 5D's and then one motion control rig from Dynamic Perception. Photo editing in Lightroom / export via LRTimelapse. It's time consuming, but visually worth it!!
Glad you liked the time-lapses! I'm working on a photo write up that will included some of the shots you might be looking for... Will reply with a link when I finish it.
just an original track by my buddy, Andy Hunter. Check him out on UA-cam, he releases music regularly and its all in the same vein! ua-cam.com/users/djandyhunter
Bruh, you make it seem like you can't get to Joshua Tree from LA on one charge. It's only 130 miles one way, you totally can. And if your Tesla has over 300 miles of range (the Model 3 has that, not sure about the S) you can even get there and come back without charging at all.
This is largely true... though you have to factor in your next charge plus driving in and out of a national park. Ultimately I think highlighting the convenience of Superchargers everywhere (this one in Twentynine Palms) illustrates the expanse of the network and how you never have to worry about where you'll get your next charge. For so many folks range anxiety is still a big stop gap for them and why they can't commit to EVs. And speaking from experience, you wouldn't want to drive all night in the desert without at least topping off!
Yeah you're right. Amazing video! You guys worked really hard on it and it shows. It's a commercial for a Tesla, and also a commercial for Earth, for humans.
Hmmm good production but it's just not believable that a bunch of seemingly college student photographers would run around in a Model S. A Model 3 however... *hint*
This one is my favourite. It really shows off how easy it is to travel and explore with one heck of a beautiful ride. The music is great too.
Pretty much exactly what I was going for!
Great cinematography! Love the music, too!
Thanks!!!
I got a sweet M83 vibe from your music. Awesome work both on that and the cinematography!
GungHoGrippo yes indeed
GungHoGrippo I came here to say the exact same thing! Midnight city feel
Amazing time lapses. This is my favorite Project Loveday video.
I would get bored if this ad was shown on TV because it feels too long, but the footing is AMAZING and well edited. One could call the experience an eye-gasm😂
would definitely do a cut down for TV... but since this is the internet... let's play up the eye-gasm!
Great combination of skills displayed here, this was my fav commercial.
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Lots of wonderful desert shots in this. 😎🏜🌞

Certainly some nods to SpaceX... if you look closely in some of the time lapses... I made sure that Mars was in there. So... you're on to something!
bkgarceau 100 years from now, Elon will be remembered as one of the greatest minds of humanity. He will be revered just as Einstein, bill gates, Nikola Tesla, etc are. We are very lucky to be alive at the same time as him.
it's like living in a sci-fi movie everyday... exciting times
Wow - gorgeous and stunning shots! Congrats!
awesome video, could easily run in the Tesla showrooms/stores all day long.
Fantastic job! Great music and amazing photography!
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it!
Nice. Those time lapse shots of the stars in the sky are amazing!
thank you! It's always an exciting moment when you put all the photos together and see how earth rotates in our universe.
This should really be the top video, GREAT CINEMATOGRAPHY!
appreciate it!
Joshua Tree is an awesome place. I hope to see more Teslas out there, one day. Ours is getting lonely.
I'll be back soon! But hopefully some more will arrive shortly!
Congrats on Top 10, I love the sky views and time lapses. Great video
Glad you enjoyed -- lucked out with some incredible weather... never get great sunsets in Joshua Tree and of course I got two in one weekend.
wow!!!!!MIND IS BLOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This one is probably the best
Impressive. One of the best! Good luck.
Thanks!
I hope you win! The best I've seen by far, fun to watch and covers all the main points so quickly!
Appreciate it! Wanted to make it fun, exciting and out of this world!
Also, what is the song you used?
its actually an original song that my friend, Andy Hunter, put together for the piece.
bkgarceau wow, great job on it! I love it so much.
Thanks! We've collaborated on a bunch of videos. You can check out his music here -- ua-cam.com/users/djandyhunter
This is a true art!
Beautiful!
Time lapse 👌
this is the only one that seems to understand the tesla brand. nice job!
Thanks! Trying to keep those values both at the forefront and in the background throughout.
This Video and Tesla are absolutely stunning! There is this feeling of a better tomorrow and an adventurous voice which tells me "improvements [to the better] and the universe are endless" and it is our chance and our drive to push it to the limits and fight against the bad.
Well said!
Oh my, this music is so, so amazing! I love it! Where can I listen to the whole track?
Glad you like it! Actually its a custom track we made for the video! But the artist is ANDY HUNTER and he has many other songs like it! Check him out! ua-cam.com/users/djandyhunter
bkgarceau Thanks, I will! :)
stunning
Fucking amazing ad. Tremendous job
Beautifull!!!!

after re-watching them all, yours got my vote. (Maybe I'm partial to the night sky footage and time-lapses, some of my fav. photography.)
thanks man!!! I'm a sucker for astrophotography time lapse... so yeah, thats why that ending was long!
Wow, stunning night footage and time-lapses, what sort of equipment was used? This is one of my favorite Tesla Lovedays.
Thanks, glad to hear you enjoyed it! As far as gear for the time-lapses... I used two Canon 5D's and then one motion control rig from Dynamic Perception. Photo editing in Lightroom / export via LRTimelapse. It's time consuming, but visually worth it!!
Hey, could you upload the time-lapses you took for this video? I'd love to set them as my wallpaper for my desktop.
Glad you liked the time-lapses! I'm working on a photo write up that will included some of the shots you might be looking for... Will reply with a link when I finish it.
Awesome, thanks so much!
They were absolutely stunning
Does the sky has something with SpaceX because it looks like a x.
that was just a random crossing of jet streams in the sky. But of course I too saw the X and framed it in the shot. Might as well!
wow love this
Nice licence plate you got there ;)
Sorry Marques, this is the best one.
haha, thanks!
Marques Also did a great job! I would give marques 9.5/10 but this one gets 10/10
Midnight city much?
haha, a bit
Ger Gonzalez yes much and good for them!
Omg, thank you! :*
Very impressive.
Thanks Damon!
Top 3 of the 10
this was the best ad ever !!!!!!!! what camera did you guys use ?
A few cameras... Mainly the Canon 5D4 and 5D3... add a GoPro, a Mavic Pro Drone... and even a few iPhone shots!
This one was great!
Impressive
awesome!!!!!
Great shots, i just wish you would have let them sink in a bit before transitioning to the next shot
Can't deny that feeling... if I had more time I would of made a 4 or 5 minute piece!
When you get stuck in the desert cuz your Tesla died in the middle of nowhere... JK it's a great video
Amazing work! Song?
Collaborated with Andy Hunter on a special track to the video!
Not to be that guy, but I liked synth wave before it was synth wave.
what song was used in this video
just an original track by my buddy, Andy Hunter. Check him out on UA-cam, he releases music regularly and its all in the same vein!

I liked the start but middle is a bit slow ...
how about that ending...

absolutely... my original idea was with a Model 3... but I didn't have access to that... not yet anyway
