- Multicamera Mix of Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses from Friday November 9th 2018 in Dublin's 3 Arena. Some nice audio to go with this also.
The band nailed this one on the night & seem to really enjoy themselves during the performance. Really powerful & tight ending.
Hope you enjoy reliving this if you were there or that you might like to watch this if you didn't manage to make the gig.
As with all my other Multicamera Mixes - this would absolutely not have been possible without the fantastic footage shot by the other fans there that night.
I thank them for taking the time to film their footage & for uploading it to UA-cam.

I used one new angle I shot myself & I supplied the audio for this multicamera mix, so that was my contribution in addition to editing it. I did not just reuse other peoples footage without making a contribution myself.

OMG how awesomely done/edited by you! What a great idea with the color stuff. Wish I had that much motivation for my multicam lol. Due to lack of time I'm just doing a plain and simple one. TOO BAD YOU ARE NOT GOING TO EDIT THE WHOLE THING!
Thank you for your kind words. They mean a lot to me coming from such a fantastic editor with the high standards you always adopt when you film, record audio and edit on your multicam projects. I was lucky with nice sources from great U2 fans without which it wouldn't have been possible or as enjoyable to work on. The motivation thing can be hard because anyone who has worked on one or even created a whole show will understand how time consuming it can be and how meticulous you have to be keeping everything in sync - to the millisecond. It requires technical ability and creativety which you have without a doubt. Don't feel pressurized. Take your time. Fit the work in as your daily work and family life allow. I love this type of work but time and priorities have had to change once a new person joins the family etc..I know there is another very willing and talented editor working on the Dublin shows. The U2 community is lucky to have so many talented fans willing to give up their freetime to do these. I love watching the work of others and find it gives me inspiration and motivation in my own smaller edits. Main thing is try enjoy your editing and don't rush it. At the same time, don't befrustrated either as you can only do your best and work with whatever video and audio sources that are available. Some times its a bit easier when there are lots of sources / angles or decent audio and other times its harder to make some things turn out the way you'd like. Wish you all the best for your project and I know it'll be great based on what I've seen from your work in the past.
Thanks for taking the time to produce this amazing multicam :) The final part reminds me of the Apollo multicam I did, have you seen it? It's also great that you only kept the true colour in that final part, it adds a lot.
It's always funny to see your own footage being used in a multicam and re-live the moment through others' "eyes" too ^_^
Thank you for your nice words & support. I actually haven't seen the Apollo Show yet. I used to be able to keep up with everything U2 before my daughter was born but now I'm always trying to grab time to see what I've missed. I've only seen a few snippits / clips from the Apollo Show so I'll have to sit down & watch it in full properly. I'll certainly take a look at the Multicam Part you mention that you did. I just edited the one from Dublin the way that I did from the feel / tempo of the music building towards the end - sort of artistic / instinctual etc.. If you did the same sort of edit, we're probably alike in some ways creatively (or great minds think alike..No I'm too humble to say that ;) . I love watching muticams created by others (when I can!) because it is good to see what other editors do & can do with footage & what direction they take a video in. It can be very refreshing, stimulating & inspiring. I love editing - really enjoy it - always learning. The technology is great these days. When I think of the pain I used to go through with my older computers from many years ago - it would take an eternity to create a multicam in the old days :)
@@bonoman66 hahaha, yeah things move forward thankfully - it was a pain to edit video only 5, 8, 10 years back! Nowadays it's much easier.
Regarding the Horses @ Apollo multicam. There were only 3 video sources when I did it (I don't think any more have surfaced since it was a very small crowd) and even one of them was just 360p so I didn't have much material to work with, but I think the result was fantastic. 55K views seem to agree!

@@u2santos 55,001 agree ! Very well done. It can be a challenge to produce something good when sources are so few but you managed to pull off an amazing job. Lovely close footage & decent sound which is always a help too. Very watchable & something I'd watch (& I'm sure others do) repeatedly. Keep up your good work & music! Great to be both a fan & artist/musician too!! Multi talented ;-)

Cheers Paul - You're very welcome. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to do the whole show. I just enjoy editing so I throw a song together when I can grab a few hours etc.. Hope that's ok & sorry. I think there may be another person (another U2 fan & editor) possibly working on at least 1 of the 4 Dublin shows (maybe more shows but I'm not certain). Just hang in there as its a long process to complete in anyone's spare time etc.. All the best & thanks for watching & asking your question.
