After their much lauded Sundance launch, Berlin filmmakers Hans Block and Moritz Riesewieck (The Cleaners) are taking their latest documentary “Eternal You” to festivals from Toronto, Vancouver and San Francisco to Munich and Thessaloniki. Eternal You probes startups that use AI to let customers talk to dead loved ones or rather their virtual simulations. We spoke to Hans Block just before their Hot Docs Festival premiere about over six years of work on AI and ethics, digital frontiers and commodification.
