- More fishing than crabbing on this little adventure😊Tried crabbing at Otter pond in Leeds Point but only got 3 keepers. Lots of spots, sand sharks, and our first flounder for the year🐟. Good old Spam and eggs for dinner. Lots of greenheads here! Enjoy the video🥰!

I miss fishing and crabbing na! You’re funny saying “ang laki ng spot, it’s mine!!!” 😂
@@FishWithMhei Enjoy your vacation 😊! Dami ring magandang fishing spots dyan. Mag eenjoy ang parents mo🥰.
Hello my friends....What a beautiful video. Your adventures keep getting better and better. We still haven't gone crabbing yet. My wife is still having pain.
I'm hoping after the labor day holiday we will get the chance. Now I know which one of you is the fishing champion.
(Just kidding). Please keep up the great adventures. You do a beautiful job !
Dan
@@magazineman3910 Ha! Ha! I’m here just to put bait and unhook the fish🐟. Hope by Labor day you’ll be doing the same😄. Seriously, Thank you! Hope for your wife’s quick recovery and your new adventures to start.
That is why she loves you lol. It is plain to me that you have every thing under control.

Outstanding your adventures make me smile more more more🐟🐠🎣
@@ConeyIsland1952 Thank you! We’re still learning how to fish efficiently and the beauty of these remote New Jersey places keeps pulling us back. Thank you! Have a nice weekend🥰!
Great trip and editing , you had very nice haul out there
@@FishingWithLou Thank you🥰! We got lucky with fishing but not so much with the blue crabs🦀.
When the reel screams like it was tighten the drag a few turns, nice spot, flounder & crabs, dogfish are a pain but fun to catch, nice job folks.. home ofthe jersey devil shined bright on you that day
@@wayned5872 We were thinking about that Jersey Devil on our drive home that night. But there was no fly by as we drove through the Pine barrens😊. We were too excited about all the fish biting, we forgot how annoying that reel sounded. Rookie mistakes, we’ll remember to tighten the reel next time🐟.
@thandastones888 the drag singing dont bother me , ur just not gaining any line when it does that, do u store ur reels with a loose drag ? If not get in the habit of doing so it'll help increase the drag washers life a bit
@@wayned5872 😊We just hang our rod and reel as is after we use them. So loosen the drag when storing them. Got it😊Thanks again!
@thandastones888 do ya give them a fresh water rinse ? If not do so to get rid of saltwater , that'll help your rods & reels last a few more years
The best part of this video was the Spam and Egg sandwich. Good job.
@@JohnKorek Thanks! A quick dinner that looks like breakfast ha! ha! Have a wonderful weekend😊!
I love the finding Nemo plates ❤ love you guys good luck every time
@@toddstrehl5507 That belonged to our daughter when the movie first came out. She’s 20 now but she loves to see it in our vlogs too. Thank you and have a nice weekend🥰!
Alway love your trip Chris.🤩😍🤩😍😁😇
@@Idonotcare2024 Hello Sup! Thank you! The place was beautiful. Not a lot of crabs but the wife was pretty happy fishing the whole afternoon. Have a nice weekend🥰!
@@thandastones888 Yes it look so pertty only too far😅, And I think U might have to buy a extra rod for her😁
@@Idonotcare2024 Yes😊. That reel was annoying. I think we just forgot to tighten it. Too excited about the fish biting non stop. Rookie mistakes. Thank you!
Awesome day for fishing!!!
@@charlesbello4671 Beautiful day😊! Except for the greenheads, it was a fun day of fishing🐟.Thanks for watching!
Great video! I keep trying to catch a flounder and Haven't had much luck. I have caught small ones in the traps before. Also, I'm really missing all that space I had in my minivan, Lol. I'm trying a bit farther north tomorrow so we'll see how that goes.
@@slingshotcrabbing Good luck on your trip!
Maybe you’ll get that flounder. Looking forward to your next vlog. Have a great weekend😊!
Saan kayo dito sa USA ading at saak kayo nag fishing , maraming isda at crab , salamat.

Another beautiful day y'all. ☀
@@VirginiaMyVirginia The weather was awesome😊There were still a lot of bugs but the scenery was fantastic. Have a great weekend!
For god sakes tighten that drag up!! Great video as always, i enjoy watching your adventures.
@@tblaze8167 Yes😆! Sorry about the annoying noise, still rookies when it comes to fishing. Thank you!
Hey another nice video as always. Please be careful when you catch dogfish they have poisonous barbs /spikes on the fin's.
I love your bug jackets where did purchase them.
@@cashmoneyfishcare Oh wow! We were holding the dogfish carelessly, didn’t know about the barbs. We searched and they do have stingers in their dorsal fins. Thank you so much for the heads up😊! The bugshirts we got on line. It’s called The Original Bug Shirt Co. from Canada. They cost about $99. Protects from ticks, gnats, mosquitoes and greenheads. Works great so far. Less scratching at home after a long day of crabbing and fishing😊!
@@thandastones888 thanks much they look well made. The dogfish can be handled it's just a good thing to know. The dogfish you caught was very calm almost relaxed lol they are very strong and can move a lot sometimes when caught. Happy to share the knowledge. Get a pair of fish gripper to hold any fish you don't know about by the lips. Better Safe than sorry a bee sting can kill someone who is allergic safe crabbing/fishing.
@@cashmoneyfishcare Yes, those barbs sting pretty bad. I got stung holding a catfish before. Thanks for all the tips😊
@@thandastones888 anytime continue the videos.
HEY YOU USED MY FUNNY DEAD FISH SHOT !!
@@breadsoup7432 ❤️❤️❤️Stinky Daddy heh?
Great fishing and crabbing! Are you using a light tackle? Mama thanda’s reel spool tension sounded like it needed a bit of tightening. Thanks for sharing your adventure!
I agree, drag was a bit light.
@@kenrmin Thank you😊! Yes it’s a light tackle. Mama Thanda is still a rookie when it comes to fishing😊Thanks for that tip. She gets too excited and ignores that sound.
Pork Roll is a must,
Must be the magic loose spools

@@thandastones888 sayang. Pero sarap padin sandwich
wow, what a beautiful place and great filming! did you cook the fish whole or filet them first? im sure it was tasty either way.
@@gailsfoodandstuff Thank you! We are planning on steaming it whole with scallions and some soy sauce. We cleaned it and froze it for a while. We are eating the spot fish first. Have a beautiful Sunday😊.
what bait are you using for your crab traps, what would you recommend?
@@zeraora31 Bunker fish is usually recommended 🐟, but we used chicken on this trip. Have a beautiful day🥰!
I couldn't find this point, where exactly is this?

I wonder why there isn't any spots on the Long Island side. It's only less than 80 miles across the Bight and I've fished the south shore for more than 10 years.
I've got a lot of fish in the past including porgies, blue fish, stripies, rays and sea robins but never spots.
@@johnb3651 We’ve been catching spots in our crab traps in the past few years. We only decided to catch them this year with a hi lo rig using #4 circle hooks. We thought they were everywhere. They’re probably just staying in the creeks and bays.
@@thandastones888 BTW, I also go crabbing with my family but I think it may be a bit easier than your method.
At the our crabbing spot on Captree State Park, we use long pole dip nets to scoop out the blue crabs that float across the pier due to the strong current from tide changes.
Hi can I get the address for gps for this location?

What is the size limit for spot and flunder?
@@hnczgychen3109 Spots don’t have a size limit in NJ. But flounder is 18 inches.
what bait were you using for fishing?
@@ltscards2483 We used small white shrimp that we bought from a Bengali supermarket. $6 per pack.
@@thandastones888 I read somewhere that Gulp bloodworm is a good bait for spots. Don’t have to worry about it going bad.
@@ltscards2483The guys at the tackle shop were suggesting the same thing. It’s hard for them to get real bloodworms anyway. But the small shrimp worked pretty well😊
Good video 👍, location ?

I have a good spot to try. It’s called cheesecake State Park, and there’s a Crabbing bridge.
@@Lic123-h3 Yes, that’s another spot for crabbing up North. We’ll try and check it out someday. Lots of mosquitoes there.
