Have a question for you .. I got a small pin with mark of ster/14k ARDIAN ... Does that means is Sterling silver with 14k or Plated?? is a watering bottle with a gold sunflower Brooch ... Have you heard about ARDIAN signature ?
I haven't heard of it before but if you have a instagram and want to send me a picture my insta is justinsjewelry and i would love to check it out. Thanks for watching :)
Hi Justin. I like to pick up those old leather jewelry boxes too. They are so neat. I LOVE that ruby/diamond necklace. What an amazing find. Did I miss how much it and the gold chain were? Also, what percentage of spot price does your refinery pay? I've been considering taking some of my orphan earrings/damaged chains in to scrap.
Hey Treasure Finder...how do you determine when something is scrap? Also, are there any good electronic testing tools for gold/silver? Thanks love the vids
I only scrap stuff that is broken/dented/ missing stones. Some people scrap everything to make fast cash but i hate scrapping good pieces. Yes they have electronic testers but they are very expensive
Hi, I go estate sale hunting too and now I have a ton of scrap gold jewelry on my hands. What would be the best method of selling it? Do you usually sell to pawn shops? I'm new to this, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Bought a men’s ring at a garage sale. Took it home it tested for 14k with my acid testing but it also was magnetic..so I’m confused. I tested it several times to make sure it wasn’t plated. Can you explain that reasoning for it testing positive but being magnetic? Thanks
Im not sure, i have not experienced that before. If you have a instagram and would like to send me pictures of it my insta is justinsjewelry, i could take a look at it and give you my opion .Thanks for watching :)
Great tips!! Love it that gold is ^ - do you think it will keep climbing? I have a few gold pieces but holding on for now. Thanks so much for making these videos. You have helped me so much. That stone looks like lapis? Maybe. Not sure.
I hope it keeps going up ! Its up a little over 20% since last summer which is great. helped me make a little bit more money for school. Thanks for watching :)
They set diamonds in gold too, I've even seen real diamonds set in sterling silver before. But typically they're just set in gold and platinum, Thanks for watching
Yes if its a nice piece of jewelry or a gold coin i would never do a scratch test on it, wouldn't want to risk any possible damage. Thanks for watching :)
I can’t tell if the stone in the bracelet is iridescent or not but It almost looks like labradorite, not real sure though because the dark blue might be lapis
Yes it is very helpful. Thx.
Thanks for watching :)

You can get a handheld xrf analyzer for 10-20k
Great info, thanks! Would you pick up gold plate?
No I usually don't buy any gold plated stuff. Sometimes they do gold plating over sterling silver which I sometimes buy. Thanks for watching

Pretty diamond & ruby necklace. How many hours a week do you go out shopping for jewelry?
Over the summer i usually go to 5-10 sales a week, but when I'm in school usually 2-5 sales a week. Thanks for watching :)
If you was in the UK I would have suggested Blue John for the bangle stone
The storm mite be marble of lapse. What’s your eBay!!!
Is it true they always set diamonds in Platinum ?

As for that fab bangle, I almost want to call it a dark charoite, but the needles make me lean towards sodalite. 🤔
Thanks for the help and for watching :)
Does the scratch test: damage and detract from the value, of a nice Collectable ring, charm or coin ?
For scrap, it obviously wouldn't matter.
