A good Spotter is Gold!
Great wheeling...very enjoyable video. That Gladiator is unreal. Thank you 🙏
Great video, I'm going back to Moab to get a few of those trails. Thanks for the insight.
Great video Matt. Love the build.
The Gladiator is looking real good.
Very cool thanks
Impressed the 4-Runner made Steel Bender! 👍🏻
@@skinnypedalexpress4170 Nick, you don't think the 4runner could do the other side?
@@robertwicker196 let’s go back and find out! 😜 you could do it but there was some harder sections than what we did on this trip.
I like that blue on the jeep's especially on the Rubicon's with the black lettering outlined in red. I so want to get out to Moab some day.
Matt, you and Sully make it look 👀 easy. I have noticed, just my opinion and I’m a Toyota guy, I own 2 of them but from your videos looks like Jeep has a slight edge on the trails.
I’ve always been a Toyota guy too but they lost me with the 3rd gen tranny which is garbage. I’m now on a Gladiator Rubi and it’s not just a slight edge is pretty huge considering how easy it is going to 37s. Tacoma not possible with 35s without heavy modification plus the cv boots get torn up all the time.
I did this in my Xterra on 33's, hell, a 1st gen Xterra on 31's did it with us. Only battle scar I had was driver side plastic quarter panel dropping down The Fall.
No Steel was harmed in the making of this video today.
Are you guys going to going to the Eureka Spring jeep jam in a couple of months. Be really cool to see you guys there. Big fan of your videos
A M A Z I N G 🥰🥰😍😍🤩🤩 Just Subscribed................
Always surprised watching these videos no one is taking their doors and tops off in the jeeps…. To me that the entire point, lighten your load, better visibility and less likely damage.
I'd like to go with ya'll sometime. It looks fun
I'm going to be honest. The title of the video drew me in... but the opening where he has Blenders eyewear on at Moab, made me actually subscribe to the channel.
That might not have been your hardest trail there but it really looked beautiful and fun. Would definitely like to make a trip to Moab one day!
Great video and JT did great… you definitely have some wheeling skills to go along with a strong rig. I have JTR with 37 Patagonia MTs as well… do you find the Milestars are better at crawling than other brands? Seems like they grip better than others. Thanks for sharing your insights. Take care.
Thank you! They perform very well on the rocks and just about every terrain I've used them in.
The trail looks like a lot of fun, but I have a hard time judging how difficult the trails are you do in your beautiful JT lol. How difficult/possible do you think this trail would be in a basically stock JT Rubicon?
I’m headed to Moab in November. Is the 1 jeep a jk?
@@brucestephenson5962 limited slip rear diff and an open front. Running 3.73’s with 35’s…much easier than in March when I was running 33’s. It’s not too bad. Just be very selective on your lines and commit to it and you will be fine. I typically try to take difference lines when Matt is videoing just so there are different approaches. I ran the hard section of this trail on 33’s in March and I had to really work but I never winched.
@@skinnypedalexpress4170 Nick, you are an inspiration. Are you on Dana 44's front and rear, or are you still running a Dana 30 in front?
@@chrisscharer2726 30 front and a LSD in the rear. I mostly two foot drive offroad. Makes a huge difference .
Do you guys have a video about the Gladiator's mods? If not please make one! 😊👍
There is a whole build series I’ve been doing. Still have a couple videos to go on it.
Awesome thanks for shart, this almost makes me want to trade the taco for a Rubicon.
Those asfir skids are creaky lol. Mine does the same. I sprayed wd40 between the Crossmember mounting points and it helps. Dirt's and what not gets in there
How cool! Sounds like a grease gun is needed! LOL
Someone’s rig squeaks like my father’s 1950 Ford COE HAY TRUCK?
I was thinking the same; the Toyota @9:45 is just struggling & squeeking.
Nice video but please buy the guy with 4 runner some silicone spray for his suspension and the way it sounds you might want to get some for yourself lol
Based on the video you missed the main obstacles that give the trail its name
There are two routes for Steel Bender - The loop and the flat route. We ran the loop. I'll be back in a few weeks and will run the flat route then.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Most folks do not consider the route you took as the real trail. I think you will be a bit surprised at the actual route. I am leading a large club ride soon that includes a few Gladiators and I have concerns if they can make it without damage. It will be interested to see how you do on the actual route. I have lead all of the trails rated 5 and above in Moab multiple times but since Gladiators are new I am learning what they are capable of doing without any damage. Have fun!
@@ronwilliams9215 it will depend on the lift and tires they have. I survived Cliff Hanger and Pritchett without body damage so I expect to be ok on the flat route of Steel Bender.
@@ronwilliams9215 I did the flat route in March with 33’s on my JKU and had no damage. Gladiators will probably make it a cake walk
I think the movie “ Dantes peak” sold more snorkels than anything else in history. But are you really going to ever put those jeeps in 5 feet of water? I guess it’s good to have options if you ever need to cross a river to escape a volcano.
You must be new to my channel. LOL. Check out my latest video "In Too Deep" video. Or my High Water Mark video.
Tell Toyota guy it’s ok to lubricate. They make stuff to stop the constant squeaking. It’s easy. Just spray it away
Ditch that Rock Krawler crap so you don't have to listen to the squeaking.
I had forgot to grease the control arm joints when I installed it. All better now.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Rock Krawler joints are garbage. Disassemble them and post some pics.
To me not fun at all
Rory is a great mechanic we broke a jeep before and he fixed it for us that same day we figured are trip was ruined but thanks to him it wasn't.
