Awesome video. I was anticipating buying some snow to fix my light up snowmen from Avon. They are ancient and have discolored. I painted over the nasty discolored felt and will use your process to make the snow. Appreciate you sharing your talent with us!
What a refreshing video, no crap and to the point!!!!!! Yes, lets get this chit done> Love It!!!! I have 3 dogs, some spots of pee snow would be more natural here, 😁😁!!!!!!!! Working on my project tomorrow using your method. OH yes, must use white paint; baking soda tends to turn yellow in time. Going to look through your other videos. Thank you ever so much; appreciate your video.👍🏻👍🏻
Great tip on saving money on the fake snow.
Love this video and your accent! This is some straightforward, no-nonsense crafting. Thank you. Tried this receipe and the techniques indicated. My snow, with white sparkles, turned out great!
Yes u can see it foam up, thanks so much for the tip… im doing a snow troopers diorama so this is great…
Great tip Jordy...I've got some snowmen made of cording and wasn't happy with the spray snow I used on them...I'll have to use your formula...
Thanks for inviting us over...next you'll have to get the FB group for crafting...
Now I'm going to binge on whatever else you have in here..👍😉...🌿🌿🌿
Way cooooool! Thank you for sharing this! If you ever want to make 'chalk paint' for crafts, just go grab one of your dollar store acrylic paints & add some cornstarch to it. Again, no real measurements... maybe a heaping tablespoon to a bottle of those Folk Art paints. Saves loads of money :)
Ive tried the cornstarch, but honestly, I really like using an OLD way of making chalk paint that I discovered when it FIRST was being used and the woman that learned of this process went on to be a BIG chalk paint seller and now her chalk paint is sold on AMazon for more money than I can pay for paint....and that is Plaster of Paris! Take it dry and dump it right into your paint! Works fantastic! Granted, Plaster of Paris isnt as cheap as it was when I first started making this, but its still MUCH cheaper than buying already made chalk paint! I just got a 4lb tub of it on Ama zon for a little over $8 and the last carton I bought (its now sold in plastic tubs, apparently, lol) was prob 8 yrs ago, lol, and I still have 1/3 left, but bought a new container of it only bc I wasnt sure if it "goes bad" or not, but also it had dust and stuff in it from using it over the yrs and the carton not closing well at all and it was starting to fall apart. I also add Plaster of Paris to lightweight spackle for a more frosting effect if you want to add that to something and it might even work for a fake snow if you add mod podge, which Ive also done, but used it more for fake frosting on fake food! Lol!
Great video man thank you! Awesome effect, planning to make a Finnish winter war diorama with this
Short, simple, effective. Thank you.
Yes bro, thanks for this... stay creative bro
Thanks Jordy!
Thank you!!!! Exactly what I’m looking for for my crafts ❤️
Easy hack to save money. Thanks for sharing. I’m definitely going to do this !
Thanks Jordy for tip and how to. Anything to save a few bucks is worth it to me.
Your Awesome Dude!
This is awesome. I'm making a winter diorama 3D print on a FDM printer and this will save a hell of a lot of sanding.
Totally Awesome solution from buying the already mix snow application in a jar. Can't wait to start mixing my share of mix up and using it on my snowmen's Hats for Christmas. Thanks for sharing this wonderful tip.😊😉
Thanks Jordy, that's a great way of making snow ❄
Very cool tip and tricks Jordy. Thanks for that.
Thanks for the tip. Just what I needed. Though I used PVA White Glue and it worked brilliantly and cheaper.
Thank you. Was looking for this. ❤
Just came across your channel. I like the way you get right to the point and your delivery. 😉 thank you!
Omg, I love this guy!!
That's very cool !
That stuff looks great. I like your ratios you use. 👍
Love your snow video
This will be perfect for fake gingerbread cookies & for my Christmas decor!! Thanks for sharing
Fun video
Thank you and lavenderrainbow for tip about chalk paint
This is great! Thank you.
Love it😊
Brilliant, ! exactly what I was looking for.
Love Jordy.. And you gave me an idea for one of your wonder land carvings... a lamp post with a naughty dog.. leg up and yellow snow.😁😁😂.👍🇬🇧🙋🏼♂️
This man... is a gem
Thanks man. Looking for a way to make a river coming around the base of some of my tree carvings. This might be the ticket.
Love it, thnx...
Merci beaucoup !
Does the colour yellow in time or stay the same shade? Thanks!

Fluffy!
Guaaa loquisimo Gracias 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Exactly what I was looking for . Thank u
👌👌👌
Oh !...lol...this was the new video..yep..saw it yesterday...
We need a Facebook page so we can show you what we've done..more ideas for you...
Later Jordy !...🌿🌿🌿
Such a great video, luv it. Only wondering if I should be sealing snow after it cures, with either modge podge sealer or craft sealer to protect it more than the curing only will? Thanks again...
Wicked to see you back in ya art studio bro. My daughter will be using this trick for sure dude. Hope your good bro
Awesome! You mix like I cook, to taste lol...but it works!
Lol
Awesome! I actually JUST grabbed a small container of this from the thrift shop I volunteer at every week, which I got for 13 cents, lol! It was 25 cents, but I pay half bc I work there....but it is kind of expensive in the craft stores, I think last time I looked, it was a little over $5! Which can def get expensive if you use it for larger projects like I do.
Here in the US you can get a 2oz size bottle of Mod Podge from the Dollar Tree, same with the baking soda and paint! So, for around $4 (with tax, and price of DT going up to $1.25) I can now make it myself and make far more than I'd get at the craft store for much less and make it as I need it, rather than have it harden up in the container like the craft store one has done in the past! Thank you so much for this!!!!
Ok great thank u too, so you make it yourself with mod podge and baking soda?
@@letartfindyou I will now! But Ill def add sparkle to mine! Lol! I still have the Aileens Fake Snow from the thrift shop, but Im going it through it fast and I think its actually old, whoever donated it had it a long time, lol, Im finding the sparkle isnt as sparkly as it is when you buy it new from the craft store. I came back here after i saved your video to make more of my own, but Ill be adding fine glitter to mine and see if it sparkles more than the Aileens one I have. I do have a feeling its bc its old and maybe the glitter disintegrates after a while, lol!
Thanks so much for the tip. I started building a permanent train layout now that I'm retired. For my winter portion of the layout, I struggled to find a reasonably inexpensive way to simulate snow. I even bought a jar of crushed walnut shells and white paint. I will definitely give this a try. I'm guessing I need the hair dryer or a heat gun to get the mixture to foam up?
Thank you for sharing this. I just happen to have a stockpile of Mod Podge for various projects. This will come in very handy for our Christmas projects. New sub. and you need more videos ;)
Love your video 🥰🤗🍁🇨🇦and found you just in time. Cut and put together my wooden frosty candy dish. And wow. This stuff would be perfect for him. He will be a cutie 🤭. thank you and hugs fom Ontario , Canada
Thankyou! BTW- All modpodge is, is watered down white glue.
Hello. Well done. What about mixing in the glitter while making the paste?
Thanks new to your channel this is amazing hope it will work out on plastic
"Ok I'M going to wait exactly 10 hours"
"Ok, I didnt wanted to wait 10 Hours, it's been 10 minutes" XD
Thats how, I too, ruin my crafts
Nice video, thanks so much, I will try this for my next project
LOVE IT!! "I'm simple and just want to get shit done"!!!!! great tutorial!! Do you think you could add salt to give it a grainy look too?
Wicked save few bucks for sure with method 😉....
This is the best DIY snow I have seen... and I've been binging christmas DIYs for weeks! 🤩🤩🤩😂 It looks like the old puff paint, that actually puffed up. Do you know why it does that?
Do you have a video of you applying your fake snow to projects, such as tree branches and greenery?
Hi Jordy, thanks for the cheaper option! Do you think you could use white Elmers glue instead of Modge Podge as i've not seen any here?
I think any glue really yes liz if drys white or clear
White paint prevents yellowing.
Ty
I wonder if that's true with epoxy as well? I think maybe so. I did a white marble counter and used the white and other colors in the 1st pour and clear top coat (this was 5 yrs ago). It was my 1st attempt at it. I missed a few small spots with the top coat. 5 years later the top coat was ambered. HOWEVER the spots I missed were still white! Zero ambering.
I've used baking soda and crazy glue before but as soon as you put the crazy glue on the baking soda it's hard no chance to work with it . This looks like a better way to do it .
Thank you for sharing your video ..will this harden to the point it won't fall off your project as I am making a snowman and putting it in a base so it will look like the snowman is standing in the snow.. and how long will it stay on the board thank you 😊🇨🇦
If you don't make a mess, you're not crafting right!😂
Just do what works for you! Yes! Screw the recipe! Dude you should start some killer baking classes next!
Working on a large diorama - was curious when I saw you had some already made in a jar - if I use an art tight jar how long do you think the mix would be usable for? Day/Weeks/Months?
Hmmm not to sure about that, sorry maybe a few weeks?
Awesome. Do you think I could skip the heat gun? Want to try this on my Christmas tree but that’s a lot of heat gun work
U could use a Adair dryer
Should I too store my baking soda in the fridge? 🤔
Is this for outdoors as well as indoors? I need something weatherproof. 😄
I'm also wanting to know
Is it good to use on melt and pour soap
Can you use a blow dryer on hot?
Can the mixture be diluted to apply it using a spray bottle? It's easier and faster to spray on christmas tree garland instead of using a brush. Thanks.
Can we use hair dryer instead of heat gun?
Does it turn yellow in time?
What type of paint did I use? Acrylic ?
Thanks so much and I adore the east coast accent ! Wisconsin accents are boring in comparison!
Does anyone know if after its placed it can be removed? How?
Can you use this same formula with Matte or even Gloss Mod Podge?
Yes u can
do you need a heat gun or hair blower or can you just let it air dry thanxyou
Think head gun or hair dryer will work
MATERIALS:
White paint, baking soda, mudge pudge (glue)/finishing paint, water, baby blue color.glitter, blow dryer.
PROCESS:
Mix mudge pudege with baking soda Add water and white paint as needed. Do test and dry out. Sit for 10 hours.
Figure out how to apply😅
MA POI SI INDURISCE CON LA COLLA
If you don't want it to harden and stay soft and fluffy as well as removable use shaving cream instead of glue
You're moreee speking
I got the paint, I got baking soda but what the heck is the third ingrediant? Salutes from Norway🙂 🇧🇻
mod podge or elmers white glue works too.
Mowj powj.
Instead of MOD PODGE... use cheap shaving cream ( unscented ) mix with baking powder.. wala!!
Nooo...when it dries it turns back into dusty baking soda! The glue is important to bind it together! We just made fake snow out of it and within a couple of hours it was dust again.
It's called MOD podge. I was done with the video once I heard MODGE.
It's "MOD" podge, not modge podge....grrrrrrrr but thanks for the recipe
MOG pog?
