When I first dived into metal this was one of the songs I listened to and it honestly terrified me, but the more I kept learning and listening to it I loved it more and more. It's a masterpiece, you played it perfectly too great job! 💯🤘
Honestly if you can ear-learn half of this song Id say that's just as impressive as learning with a correct tab, it's a beast either way!!, Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching! 🙏
not sure why I didn't reply.. probably because at the time I wanted to leave it til when i could put more effort in lol.. Because coming from you that's definitely appreciated, you do awesome meshuggah videos :) Would love to do a stream/zoom call sometime discussing different sections like you do
Sorry just saw this.. If you message me on facebook I can send you the file I have but I'm fairly sure it's just the most recent Guitar pro version on ultimateguitar.
Probably a few weeks to a month of regular practice, it really depends on how much, frequency and of course, if you just go "what the fuck is that" when you get to the riff under confined, bereft of reason. I still struggle to play that riff without the regular practice actually. The whole section around 2/3 through is pretty nuts
@@XOCailleach161XO Yeah, I spent 2-3 practices getting up to that part. Now I have practiced 3 evenings just on that part, and still.... I got it at 75 % speed once. lol this one is going to take a while..
You'll get it! At least you don't (assuming) have a 3" fan with the perpendicular at 12th fret to contend with 😜 Made hitting the third fret from the 8th quite a bitch.. It is definitely one of their hardest parts imo, if not hardest. I think not letting it fluster you helps too, just attack it like it's any other riff and.. Idk I need a link to Shia LaBeoufs "just dooo it" video haha Persistence is your friend! Keen to see a video once you get there! 😁
@@XOCailleach161XO Cool! Yeah, I'm into doing one-take videos too, I enjoy the challenge so the idea was to do one for this one too! I did pravus on my channel, which is comparatively one of their easier ones - it still felt like a pretty big accomplishment even with the mistakes. I fortunately don't have fanned frets, but it's a Meshuggah signature from before their arthritis so it's a massive 29,4" scale. I've gotten used to it by now, all other guitars feel like they are child-size. Thanks for the tab too! It speeds up the process quite a bit!
@@Alexander_Tronstad oh sweety this was NOT a one take hahaha I detailed the cuts in the description I think, because a one take of this song without many mistakes would be an incredible achievement :P Oh wow even without a fan a 29.4 Is going to be quite a beast. I think the thing with a piece like pravus isn't necessarily making mistakes but how well the pull-offs ring out the open note, it's an interesting feature of guitar vs instruments like piano where the playing is more quantitative, just whether you hit the note. The thing I love about meshuggah's guitars is how it emphasises hitting notes Well, not just having incredible runs with lots of notes. You're quite welcome for the tab, it was my hope that having the tab on a video showing how that tab is played would be educational, I really appreciate that you actually found it useful :)
Nah, nostrum memorising I think was actually quite intuitive with the right tab, but dancers has so much weird scale dickery it's impossible to memorise and yet they did, I still think playing this live is their best achievement
@@XOCailleach161XO Ill have to try it out. If anything seems impossible at this point, it's the intro to TVSOR. Are you going to cover Nostrum sometime in the future then?
Holy fuck. This is insane! How they learned this to play it live with almost all downstrokes is beyond me.

So tasty! That outro always gives me the goosebumps. Great job!
Mmm right?? That last, so we're betrayed, and the final riff has to be one of the heaviest they play.. This whole song is a masterpiece seriously.
@@XOCailleach161XO agreed, the whole song, since the first clean notes til that massively heavy outro breakdown 🤘🏻
The stamina on hand in this song is insane
Just. Just killed it. My mouth was wide open while i was watching this. Incredible.
Thanks so much! ❤️🙏
This gives me life.
I love this! Good music is so important for the soul ❤️🤟
One of my favs, great job!
Thanks! Glad you like! 😊
Nailed it my girl!!!!! NAILED IT!!!!!
Thanks! 😊
Thank you so much for preventing my lazy ass to ear-guess half of the song I was still missing, great job

Finally, someone who doesn't pretend and is actually Metal! keep up the great work, legit content matters \m/
sorry I didn't reply before, but I'm curious what you mean? I'm flattered!
but I'm not sure how others would be pretending?
Once again another great cover
Thanks so much ❤️🙏
Incredible work!
This is really incredible, great job!
Thanks very much!
Instant Sub for this. Great job.
Thank you!
How do I start a band with you? Lol! Awesome cover! All of your videos are amazing ❤
live in australia and be able to count to 11 :P
@XOCailleach161XO Welp, guess I'm moving then lol
How do you create the tabs for this? Tab program and thought process?
Phenomenal cover! Would you say this song is more physically challenging or mentally challenging?
Id say mentally, learning all the patterns is really difficult. The riff at 3:38 is the hardest thing I've ever played
siiiick
well done!
Thanks ❤️🙏 I'm glad you liked!
impressive, i’ve made 3 minutes of progress 😭this is gonna take a long time
Persistence and continuing on mere spite will get you a long way❤️ you'll get there!
hey very nice cover. What was the tunning on this? standard F# dropped halfstep?
@GamingBoxChannel thanks! Yeah it's 8 string standard half step down, F standard.
sick

having a hard time find accurate tab for this. you ha e a file?

Whats the tuning?
F standard for an eight string, so half a step down.
Jesus Christ
I'm going to take that as a compliment lol
