Workaround For PC / Mac users. I opened the video in VLC: Media > Open Network Stream. And then used Tools > Effects & Filter > Video Effects > Geometry Transform and Rotated the video.

if you flip ur phone upside down, it will stay vertical widescreen and won't minimize the screen space or show comments. you can also turn off the auto rotate options. on iPhone, I doubt you can even read this comment..🙄

This video is not vertical. Apparently, it is designed for someone who doesn't know how to change their monitor settings, and just rotates a horizontal monitor 90 degrees. Sigh.

+John Sunlight it’s designed for anyone with a vertically oriented video player and a software like QuickTime which has full screen video.
