I just watched different Filipino cooking channels on the same recipe and the peanut is only added at the very end. The only difference I can see is they add garlic when the sauce is being cooked or sprinkle it on top

Errrr a peanut sauce has peanuts in it. What she did was a sugar and soy slurry a.k.a fishball sauce. LOL
