The honesty and no BS approach from Nick and Yvan is what makes me buy their products. The products themselves are great, but the people behind the brand means more to me and will keep me a loyal customer for many years to come. Thanks for everything you do guys!
Thank you 🙏
Thanks for sharing!
What you said 100 😊
Eddie nailed it, I had a neighbor that started a detailing shop, his goal for his shop was to build a reputation of quality so he could get high end customers, he quickly realised that everyone has a car and his biggest customer base were every day drivers, and working parents that don't have the time to do full details and cleans. They aren't looking for perfection, they're just looking for clean and Shiny.
Know your customers, and offer what they are looking for, you'll make them happy and make a profit while doing so.
Thanks for sharing.
Great conversion! Thanks for having on ECDetails! Great stuff fellas!
Our pleasure!
I just started detailing my car at she 74... for the fun and feeling of accomplishment. I'm grateful I found DIY and Eddie.
That is awesome!

Man, just realized, 83K subs.... i was there before the gold standard came out... Amazing how much you guys have blown up. Well deserved
Thank you.
and hard work
Eddie seems a lot more relaxed and natural in this podcast in comparison to how he is on his channel. I like it. He seems like a great guy without all the show. Just subbed to him
Good to hear!
Great video guys i appreciate you guys taking the time to share your knowledge and insights on things
Thanks for watching!
Eddie rocks. So many terrific insights into more than detailing. Thank you Eddie for your contributions to the community man.
Agreed
Can’t wait to hear this podcast!
It’s a fun one
Thank you Eddie for keeping it real! As someone wanting to learn and starting a part time detailing business ( similar to you ) its nice to hear the truth of what works. I have also found much joy in the DIY products!
I appreciate that
Love the pod cast. I just subscribed to Eddie’s channel! I’m Just getting started and all I hear is people saying buy cheap stuff at first and upgrade latter but I like what Eddie said if you can afford it buy what you want! Detailing is going to be my second business and I can afford nice stuff so I’m gonna buy it!
I had certain companies not saying any names but they are guys that have chemicals! They say buy this for this and this for this and I’ve learned quick that you definitely have to do your homework on these materials before you buy it.
So far everything I’ve got from diy has super impressed me.
Thank you.
Thank you so much
@@Ecdetails no problem< im looking forward to see how you run your detailing business since ill be doing a similar set up. im a plumbing contractor during the week and want to detail on the weekends.
Much love Eddie! Love your content and your way of keeping it real!
Thank you.
Who would you recommend in north jersey for C6 on a 2022 F250
Send an email to john@c6ceramics.com he will be able to find you the closest installer
I really appreciated this podcast! DIY Detail has become my favourite brand and I’ve nearly switched to exclusively use their products and coatings on my cars and friends & family cars! Eddie absolutely deserves more subscribers but as I have learned from own health journey: lots of people tend to gravitate towards the magical “hack” and Eddie is all about telling it as it is! Hang in there, Eddie! Lots more people will benefit from your content! I appreciate you all!
Thank you.
That was a very interesting and entertaining video. Thanks guys!
Pete
Thanks Pete
Eddie, I subscribed to your channel. Love your intro, being bold with your faith.
Thanks for the sub!
For your next video, would love to see how you clean your equipment, towels, mitts, brushes etc, and get ready for the next round..!
Thanks for the idea!
How about this: same coating but multiple versions of panel prep:
A. IPA spray and wipe
B,. APP polish then wipe.
C. Dawn dishwashing liquid wash then rise and dry
Only B will work properly. We wouldn’t willingly do something with negative consequences.
ooo sounds like a great video idea
How about panel prep vs app
Great real conversation!
I appreciate the candidness of all you! I completely look to you guys (and a few other quality detailers) for education about detailing. I agree the DIY products are awesome! Thanks for your commitment to honesty and integrity!
Hey Eddie, I subscribed to your channel after I watched this conversation.
Thank you 🙏
Well said!
Definitely the main reason I’m using a lot of DIY is not only cause the products are great it’s the honesty and information that I get from Yvan and Nick.
I’ve just recently started following Eddie, I love his style and the way he comes across on the camera. Keep up the great videos and I’m sure the subscribers will come.
Also love how DIY are helping the little guys out.
Thank you.
I caught this last night and finishing this morning. This was a great conversation with 3 friends. One of the best videos I've watched in awhile.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great podcast! I have just one criticism to the guest. If you want to be taken seriously, you should be professional and be accurate when you are commenting on other people and products. The product that you mentioned in the Koch Chemie line up is a limited Christmas edition version of the GSF and costs excatly the same as the regular one. No hard feelings, take it as a constructive criticism.
Noted!
Eddie is such a nice guy! Helped me on a problem i had with no hesitation. Deserves more subscribers but its just a matter of time. Love DiY and love eddie. Funny and for the people!
Thank you.
Eddie, I am just a weekend warrior but I find myself using rotary more and more often to speed things up but it’s also just fun to use I think along with how quiet and smooth it is. I do have the DIY rotary and DA, I am seriously considering selling a coupe of my Rupes polishers.
Thank you.
I just subscribed to Eddie’s channel, I wasn’t familiar with him before! Awesome conversation guys!
Thank you.
Great discussion, gents.
Thank you.
A different perspective on things and makes a lot of sense.
Eddie is a genuine, generous, kind and awesome guy.
He is as real as it gets and will give you the shirt off his back to help.
Perfect host for the show!
Thank you.
EC is probably my favorite recent podcast to come out the past year. The authenticity, personality and care that Eddie has for detailing and people is admirable and refreshing.
Dang man thank you
Thank you.
Great video to see. 👍🏼👍🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Glad you enjoyed it
I would like know how similar some products are to others. Such as polishes and APCs. I have a few that I am specifically curious about but wondering if there is any truth to it. Is there a base product and companies add their bits to it to make it theirs. Are there products that are essentially the same with a different company came on them.
In our case, all our own formulas. In many cases it’s just a change of label.
Do a bilt hammer comparison video!
Compare mainstream coatings to C6. Gtekniq, Gyeon, CCI, cQuartz, etc!
Eddie might.
I just got 2 bilt hambers old v1 touchless vs v2 coming
Meeting Ivan would be a dream. As a small detailer, I have been watching him since the start. I have learned so much. His teachings and experience are very valued.
Thank you.
I didn't know he came to a shop nearby almost cried tbh wanted to see the mustache in person
Eddie I'm going to subscribe after I comment. I've been watching you for months and appreciate your personality and inspiration. I wish I could start a detailing business, just don't have the resources, and it scares me.
Here’s something that may help
ua-cam.com/channels/iAirridYXEt5iQIZ4K9RmA.html
Interview the customers. Pre and Post. What do they want, their expectations, results. No one is doing that yet. That’s an honest video. The lesson for the viewer is how to match the expectations.
Thank you.
Eddie rocks!
Thank you.
Eddie does ask for subscribers, love the channels Nick, Yvan, Eddie! I watch all of you here in Cleveland, Ohio
Awesome! Thank you!
Love Eddie, great conversation! “Angels peed in the bottle” 😂
Thank you.
hahah
This is going to be fire!!!!! 🔥
Thank you.
Just ordered rinse less wash, love it.
Thank you.
I subscribed to Eddie's channel because he gives LEGIT product reviews. This has helped me immensely!
Excellent
Keep on bringing people in the industry!
Thank you.
I recognise a few regular people who watch and comment on these detailing channels, we kinda feel and know what's hot and what's not. But those just starting out will find it more difficult in terms of confusion about how much stuff is out there. Knowledge is power. It's guys like you Ed, Pan, Mike G, Jon from Forensics, Matt Mormon, Rag company, and all the other guys just testing and educating everyone. 🫡. I dont think you can go too far wrong with products these days. I think generally, we are in good times for products, the best we've ever had historically. I'm strapped in ready for what the future brings 🙌
Agreed
Appreciate you bro.
@MikeGDetailing Thanks Mike, your channel is one of my favs just because of your style. I can relate more to your channel and Jon from Forensic detailing channel the most because you are purists and are highly knowledgeable in what you do. You've been killing it on the forums before UA-cam became a thing. Mike G is the OG before OG was a thing. 🙌. I appreciate your channel and everyone else's truly ❤️
Thanks bro
Thanks for the reminder to stay profitable. Every now and then a potential customer makes me think my prices are too high. Gotta remember nobody is giving me discounts on products and equipment so there is no need to be the cheap guy.
Yesterday a neighbor asked me the cost to detail her filthy (her word, not mine) Escape. I told her my price and never got a reply to her message. The old me would have lamented over the loss of a potential customer. The current said oh well. I don’t want to clean your filthy SUV any way, especially with a Silverado in my garage that I am coating for a customer that will appreciate the work I’m putting in.
Well said
This... is gonna be a fun one...
Agreed
Eddie keep doing your thing! Love your channel and podcast.
Appreciate it!
Thanks bro appreciate you
Excellent video as I started watching Eddie when he had 220 subscribers. His intelligence and ability to think for himself quickly came through the camera plus he is funny. I say this with love and respect but if there is one aspect Eddie could add to his channel would be to teach more. Thank you for the video!
Agreed
Thanks Neil!
Thank you for the video. I can not believe Eddie is not at 50k subs.
You and me both!
Thank you man means a lot
I think the most important thing with detailing products is that they need to be easy to use, fun, and most importantly, they need to perform. DIY ticks all of those boxes and I think that’s why it’s a great product.
My only wish is that there was an in between size with your products. 16oz is too small for my needs and a gallon hurts the wallet big time when I need to buy multiple products. I’m a weekend warrior who can detail 3-4 family vehicles on the weekend.
Thank you.
You guys should do a video on your daily habits and practices when running companies, detailing, etc
Cool suggestion
When will the c6 hydro lite be hitting the uk ? Keep up the good work Eddie 😃
In the next week or so
Thank you 🙏
I love Eddie C! I think the market is oversaturated (in regards to detailing channels). Keep it up!
Thanks! Will do!
Shoutout to diy detail for keeping it true 👏🏼👏🏼
Big Eddie C in the building all love man I’m pleased to hear you on the lifestyle change all LOVE brotha God Speed 🫡🫡
Appreciate that
Thanks bro
Loved this conversation fellas! Eddie bro worry about subscriber count, means nothing anymore. 1000 true fans should be the goal
Unfortunately UA-cam cares about subscriber count. The funds he gets from advertisers helps fund the costs and giveaways.
AGREED #theculture
when you create good content theres nothing else but to subscribe.
Correct
Thanks!!

Eddie is one of the few I trust. Great job guys!!!
Thank you.
I’ll buy it… lol. Great podcast gents.. loved it
Thank you.
Eddie got me into the rinse less game and I haven’t looked back. Unfortunately I have so many rinseless washes to use now. 😅
It’s all fun!
Haha use them all
Just ordered DIY rinse less, all clean, Interior clean & protect, and ceramic gloss! Can’t wait to try them all.
Thank you.
Are boy EC looking good champ congrats
Thank you.
Thanks brother
Eddie is really the best UA-camr now.
Love watching his videos
Agreed
Lord what a comment thank you
Yep... this is good stuff
Thank you.
Any video helping us with most efficient chemicals and technique to clean wheels will be appreciated! They take so long and it’s not what I want to work on.
Great suggestion!
Hey guys, I watched imjoshv video on claying and maring paint. He showed that TRC clay sponge mars paint. I see its similar quality to DIY decon towel. I have not had the chance to get one. Do either of these 2 products mar paint?? Thank you very much
The 2 are very different products, the DIY Detail Perforated Synthetic Decontamination Towel is much safer.
This aught to be super interesting.
Yes
All clean with a little bit of Incredible Suds is a fantastic wheel and tire cleaner in the IK foamer
Yes it is!
Good stuff
Glad you enjoyed
I think successful detailing channels have useful information to offer not just pushing products imo
I totally agree!
Eddie looking mighty dapper sans the beard.
Baby face
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Eddie keeping it real as always. Telling the world the emperor isn't wearing clothes.
Agreed
Yvan are you coming to europe anytime soon?
Hopefully soon
ever restore headlights, need a good kit
The Gold Standard Polishing System
An episode for Eddie. How do non professionals not get too crazy as they think about detailing? It is too easy to over-think.
Great suggestion
Angels peed in the bottle 🤣. Hydro is amazing !
I don’t know how Eddie doesn’t have more followers. I went down the rabbit hole a few years ago looking for REAL reviews and content with Pan, Yvan and Nick . About a year or so ago , this “Eddie guy “ was in my algorithm singing and showing his purple wash mit in Rinseless proving a new strong player in the Rinseless game ! The comedy relief of Fake Detailer did it for me! I subscribed instantly 🤣
Excellent
lol thank you so much I appreciate it
Yea it's easy for people forget to subscribe thanks for reminding me I've watched about 15 of your diy vids and just subscribed now and dont forget to like, thanks guys im just starting out like Eddie with a full time job as weĺl im gonna have to check out your channel too
Thank you.
love DIY Detail products but to be profitable, I can't spend 100 for a gallon of soap and then have to explain to my customers why the detail costs way more because my soap costs way more. Ive used Hyperwash for over a decade because it also cleans well very slick and i can dilute it up to 400 to 1 and its 35$ a gallon. its a highly profitable solution so i use it. now do i have Incredible suds yes but i don't use it a lot because i make less $ by doing so.
Actually you will find DIY Detail Incredible Suds is more economical than that. In a bucket we suggest a dilution of 1200-1
I have an ideal hope diy or Eddie can do it. So it’s super rare an don’t see as much. But I would like to see old classic cars gets ceramic coated as well getting wash. I know with old cars you have to wash it a certain way to prevent rust. We need more classical cars. 👍🏼👍🏼💪🏼💪🏼
We are working on it
Ready
Thank you.
Eddie's my guys.
Jamie ❤❤❤
Thank you.
Would you guys ever come over to New Zealand and meet me at our family favorite Cambodian restaurant and talk about C6 Ceramic coating 🎉
Possibly
Don't feel bad, Eddie. I posted a video on UA-cam 3 weeks ago, and I'm excited it has 23 views.
That's cool
@@diydetailofficial make that 24 lol. About to be big time lol
Leave a link here, you might get more.
Talk your S*!t Eddie! $80,000 detailing as a side business that is super impressive and should give hope to detailers out there that it IS possible.
Thank you.
Thanks dude
My man’s famous
Yes!
I just subscribed to you bro
Much appreciated
Thank you 🙏
@@Ecdetails no problem man, I like the knowledge, I'm still learning what's best, I started my detailing business this year
It is coming, Eddie. Dont worry, sir. Tithe some of that money in faith and its coming buddy.
God first in everything I do in my life
Thank you.
Use what you have and don't break the bank
Agreed.
I’ll tell you what I want Eddie @Ecdetails to do and that is the Hot Ones Challenge with Jamie! Either that or deal with the karma from cheating. 🤣🤣🤣
But was it cheating?
@@diydetailofficial He took your advice and put his mask on first for his health as he didn’t want a burnt rear end and I guess you could say he helped others by having giveaway bottles. I’m
selfish as many others are and he robbed us (Turtles included) of seeing him suffer live on stream and I call that cheating. 🤣🤣🤣
A Day in the Life of a Fake Detailer series is good, greetings from The Netherlands

Fake Detailer is the best aka Eddie the smell 👃 king 👑
Thank you.
Thanks for the love 😊
You can start at 69yrs
True
Okay I hope this helps Eddie grow his audience. The first time I watched you I gave you a thumbs down and walked away from your page. The reason I walked is because you were chucking and jiving, talking loud and acting a fool Then I saw you with Nick and Ivan so I gave you one more chance. I love what the DIY guys do and Eddie I wish you all the luck in your audience. By the way I did subscribe to your U Tube.
Thanks for giving us one more shot I appreciate it
Excellent
To get more subs do more exposing and explaining videos of the basics and cheapest ways to get your car cleaned without all the tools and expensive fancy stuff. think about it.. the majority of pepper subscribing are normal everyday period who do go through tunnel washes because they don't know that they can get their car detailed themselves for next to nothing and in less than an hour. all you UA-cam guys hype and pronote the great stuff available which is great but regular people don't care about that they want the affordable options and methods that just work for cheap. it seems like you're all doing videos for other detailers and not the regular guy. just saying
Thank you.
Who farted..!!??
lol
First btw.
Congratulations
