The honesty and no BS approach from Nick and Yvan is what makes me buy their products. The products themselves are great, but the people behind the brand means more to me and will keep me a loyal customer for many years to come. Thanks for everything you do guys!

Eddie nailed it, I had a neighbor that started a detailing shop, his goal for his shop was to build a reputation of quality so he could get high end customers, he quickly realised that everyone has a car and his biggest customer base were every day drivers, and working parents that don't have the time to do full details and cleans. They aren't looking for perfection, they're just looking for clean and Shiny.
Know your customers, and offer what they are looking for, you'll make them happy and make a profit while doing so.

Love the pod cast. I just subscribed to Eddie’s channel! I’m Just getting started and all I hear is people saying buy cheap stuff at first and upgrade latter but I like what Eddie said if you can afford it buy what you want! Detailing is going to be my second business and I can afford nice stuff so I’m gonna buy it!
I had certain companies not saying any names but they are guys that have chemicals! They say buy this for this and this for this and I’ve learned quick that you definitely have to do your homework on these materials before you buy it.
So far everything I’ve got from diy has super impressed me.

Eddie absolutely deserves more subscribers but as I have learned from own health journey: lots of people tend to gravitate towards the magical “hack” and Eddie is all about telling it as it is! Hang in there, Eddie! Lots more people will benefit from your content! I appreciate you all!

How about this: same coating but multiple versions of panel prep:
    A. IPA spray and wipe
    B,. APP polish then wipe.
    C. Dawn dishwashing liquid wash then rise and dry

Great podcast! I have just one criticism to the guest. If you want to be taken seriously, you should be professional and be accurate when you are commenting on other people and products. The product that you mentioned in the Koch Chemie line up is a limited Christmas edition version of the GSF and costs excatly the same as the regular one. No hard feelings, take it as a constructive criticism.

I would like know how similar some products are to others. Such as polishes and APCs. I have a few that I am specifically curious about but wondering if there is any truth to it. Is there a base product and companies add their bits to it to make it theirs. Are there products that are essentially the same with a different company came on them.

I recognise a few regular people who watch and comment on these detailing channels, we kinda feel and know what's hot and what's not. But those just starting out will find it more difficult in terms of confusion about how much stuff is out there. Knowledge is power. It's guys like you Ed, Pan, Mike G, Jon from Forensics, Matt Mormon, Rag company, and all the other guys just testing and educating everyone. 🫡. I dont think you can go too far wrong with products these days. I think generally, we are in good times for products, the best we've ever had historically. I'm strapped in ready for what the future brings 🙌

Thanks for the reminder to stay profitable. Every now and then a potential customer makes me think my prices are too high. Gotta remember nobody is giving me discounts on products and equipment so there is no need to be the cheap guy.
Yesterday a neighbor asked me the cost to detail her filthy (her word, not mine) Escape. I told her my price and never got a reply to her message. The old me would have lamented over the loss of a potential customer. The current said oh well. I don’t want to clean your filthy SUV any way, especially with a Silverado in my garage that I am coating for a customer that will appreciate the work I’m putting in.

I think the most important thing with detailing products is that they need to be easy to use, fun, and most importantly, they need to perform. DIY ticks all of those boxes and I think that’s why it’s a great product.
My only wish is that there was an in between size with your products. 16oz is too small for my needs and a gallon hurts the wallet big time when I need to buy multiple products. I’m a weekend warrior who can detail 3-4 family vehicles on the weekend.

love DIY Detail products but to be profitable, I can't spend 100 for a gallon of soap and then have to explain to my customers why the detail costs way more because my soap costs way more. Ive used Hyperwash for over a decade because it also cleans well very slick and i can dilute it up to 400 to 1 and its 35$ a gallon. its a highly profitable solution so i use it. now do i have Incredible suds yes but i don't use it a lot because i make less $ by doing so.

Okay I hope this helps Eddie grow his audience. The first time I watched you I gave you a thumbs down and walked away from your page. The reason I walked is because you were chucking and jiving, talking loud and acting a fool Then I saw you with Nick and Ivan so I gave you one more chance. I love what the DIY guys do and Eddie I wish you all the luck in your audience. By the way I did subscribe to your U Tube.

To get more subs do more exposing and explaining videos of the basics and cheapest ways to get your car cleaned without all the tools and expensive fancy stuff. think about it.. the majority of pepper subscribing are normal everyday period who do go through tunnel washes because they don't know that they can get their car detailed themselves for next to nothing and in less than an hour. all you UA-cam guys hype and pronote the great stuff available which is great but regular people don't care about that they want the affordable options and methods that just work for cheap. it seems like you're all doing videos for other detailers and not the regular guy. just saying

DETAILING IS AN HONEST JOB, BECAUSE THE RESULT IS THE WITNESS OF WHT WE DO, MEAN WE CANNOT MANIPULATE IT OR CORRUPT IT-AND PPL LOOK IT LIVE FRESH AFTER WE DO IT (THE DETAIL). SO THIS JOB KEEP US HONEST ACTUALLY 🙂 AND OFCOURSE DO HELP FOR OTHERS PROBLEM IN MIND (SWIRL-SCRATCH-OTHER DIRT) 🙂 @diydetail
