Who thought that 2 hours for the cast to get familiar with the new location was enough? Where are the people at Disney who have common sense and know how to make things work??
My thoughts exactly, there should have been many trial runs with staff and making food and doing all that, it was an obscene amount of money for those first few sailings and it should have been done much better, this is a multibillion dollar corporation, the opening of the island was like a mom and pop operation, also nothing was talked about the extreme budget cutting they did on the island, truly only 1/3 of what was planned was built and what they did do looks like what a group of middle/high schoolers could have created in arts and crafts
I was just on in the beginning of September. The walk seemed more intimidating than it was. They have golf carts for folks who would struggle with the distance. The island itself is beautiful! Things like food, rest rooms and bar were very convenient to get to. The flies were not a huge problem like I’d seen in many initial videos.
Going next month on a Halloween on the High Seas DCL cruise and will be going to both Lookout and Castaway💜 Looking forward to checking out the new area🌴
Same here. We're booked on a 6-night on The Fantasy in October. This will be our 2nd Disney Cruise & our 1st going to the Disney islands, so I'm really excited 😊
@@SuzanneA618 we almost booked The Magic, but the room we wanted sold out several hours before we called to book it, so we switched to The Fantasy. Have fun!!
I think it is a nice alternative to Castaway for people who have sailed a lot. I don't think it's for me. Not only is there a long hike to get there, but my favorite thing is to snorkle to see the sunken "treasure", but while there is snorkling, there is no sunken treasure. On the one hand, this is a safer way to experience Bahamian culture than some of the other ports, but also it is a Disneyfied version if Bahamian culture so not 100% authentic either.
We got off first week of Sept from a 4 night cruise. I am the one to admit I almost cancelled our cruise from all the video from the preview cruise but boy oh boy, I stand corrected. The walk was not too bad for as long you wear comfy shoes, the fly is still there but it was not even noticeable and the beach boy oh boy, the beach! I didn’t experience any activity offered on the island, We didn’t want to leave the beach!
Still need actual update. Someone just there said flies are still an issue. (Never had fly issue at castaway🧐). Other cruise line beach continues to have fly issue, I don’t think it’s going away, may improve 🤷🏻♀️ Put some benches and shade on that bridge. You can get a ride…if you want to wait 2 hours, and then all the chairs on the beach are gone…no one want to sit behind the hill with no water view🤦🏻♀️ The adult area is too small and soooo far away with most walking🤦🏻♀️ I have a cruise that goes to both next year but I refuse to book one that just goes to lookout cay. The only ones that say go are travel agents🤣
They did speed up the tram, but that's actually a negative, becausw there is a LOT of sand and dirt on the road, and the trams keep kicking it up into the air, its horrible
Are these going to upload as audio podcast to Apple Podcasts too?
Wonderful show. The studio looks really great!
Really enjoyed the addition of Chris in person, think he has great insight to share, as do you all 😊
Wonderful show!!!!
Great job Rhyno!
Does the Disney dream back in or straight in
Glad to see the "extras" in the house❤

Must have been down to the final hour to finish the island. Which isn’t even finished actually
I have a question: where do you find that local Bahamian bag that Chloe was talking about?
Check out the bags and location here! dclfan.com/ports-of-call/dont-miss-this-personalized-souvenir-from-disneys-lookout-cay/

Yeah I am ok with waiting a little bit later to pay less and not beta test the product first
Morning!

Personally I’m bored with castaway. Looking for something new

Do you have to be an autistic child to get the tram?
