Dive into Heck with me, as we explore the story of Dante Unbound. How it was inspired by Dante's Inferno, and the many poetic nuances that Warframe brought to the message of The Divine Comedy. Edit: There is an err on the video from 11:10 to 11:45 a clip of B-roll somehow didn't make it into the final render of the video. Unfortunately, I caught it too late. I appreciate your understanding.
Honestly drusis has always been one of my favorite characters From the amazing voice actor to his quest for knowledge upkeep I’m really happy you are doing a vid even tangentially really to him
Itnis a bit odd. It was named after Dante, but i absolutely felt that Drusis was much more central to the story. That's why I chose him for the .ain thumbnails, and not Dante, lol
Ending or giving life, through words...Dante is such a great concept, the detail that his left fingers form a quill, the beard. The ink of madness stains his mortal hands.
Honestly, with the billions of credits I and my fellow lore appreciators handed out like candy to Drusis, I gotta wonder what kind of insane budget this guy had to burn through it all. He should have hired a money manager, or maybe asked the Tenno for help first, before letting Parvos whisper poison into his ear. Seriously, many a Tenni would have been happy to help him out if he put up a quest sooner! Let that be a lesson, kiddos, don't wait 'till you're drowning to ask for help if you can't swim.
I like how Warframe Dante venturing into the labs kind of mirrors The Comedia's journey into hell. Cool, I missed that Drussus confirms that Parvos knows Void Tongue after unlocking the Prex card and as well that Parvos was looking for Dante (or Noctua?) You made me wonder how Wally will collect his debts with Entrati and us... we OWE them :P & we probably don't really have a way to defeat them, seeing as it seems they are the conscient part of the source of our power I get how magic can be frustrating in a fantasy setting when it is "normalised"... spirit mediums, visions, ... Usually I held this phrase in mind when I thought about Warframe's power system: “Magic's just science that we don't understand yet.". All "magic" can be traced back to the Void in this universe, especially the Warframe powers. Which is kinda an easy way out but it is better to stay in universe than to take too much from IRL in my opinion. Loid's quote about the Gods of writing being Gods of magic was related to knowledge in my opinion, just like the Void tongue wants to be known, it can't be/stay unknown now. Nice catch about the meaning of the word Grimoire, I didn't realize but it's also a word specific for a book with demon summoning spells or alchemical knowledge. Which reminds me of Lavos' story and the alchemist, he went all ritualistic to let his knowledge live on. Nice donation, I could never.

...and I, oop... ... ... I need to stop what I'm doing right now and turn on Warframe. I need to be cracking relics or gathering Pathos Clamps or something while I absorb this video. ::checks runtime:: Only an hour? Hm...I'm guessing it'll have to play three times before I really understand and retain everything. Yeah, okay, that works. It'll be nice to have company, in a way, while I play Warframe. ☺️
I exist therefore i am. The way warframe makes this weird void entity try to exist while pushing the borders of reality is super cool. I like that hes almost a deity yet also possibly just a thing (the mystery helps it a lot)
I would argue that Dante the warframe might follow Lotus if nobody else, or he might view the Entrati or his friends as the authority that represents the Curial aspect. Or perhaps, his operator. But we can, regardless, rule out the Corpus and the Seven.
Its interesting to think about. Dante seems to be pursuing knowledge in an anti-authoritarian way. Lying to Drusus and all. Lotus wouldnt have wanted Dante to get closer to knowing about the void back then, because shebwas hiding it from all of us. Or this took place even further back, and Dante is just one if the warframes that could live/act pre-tenno
Actually now that I think about it, they did try to explain the magic system in Warframe, everything is conceptual embodiment :D Probabaly making the helminth a form of weaponized conceptual embodiment... ideas given form. The ones we have had access to have always been said to have been void powered (through science). The growths in skies of infested planets also look very similar to how the void itself looks in my opinion. Not sure if that is intentional.
So when Warframe stories use the word "magic" they don't ever seem to be referring to its in-fiction sci-fi magic systems. Rather its more like a metaphorical usage that never really gets explained clearly. In this ans other videos i've looked at each use of the word "magic" and poaited different ideas for what the metaphor might be
I do nor understand what King meant by that. But he is a mystery writer. So i suppose controlling people's thinking and expectations is a big part of that
@@SocraTetrisi think i kinda get it. when someone reads your writing its like theyre getting a glimpse inside your mind, direct access to your thoughts and ideas without ever having spoken to or even been anywhere near you. and in the other direction, if youre writing with the intention to evoke specific feelings or lead a reader in a specific direction for the sake of the narrative, youve effectively just manipulated their thoughts, in a way. its an odd analogy but considering King's works, that's pretty on brand.
@@dumbsterdives @socratetris yes, exactly! He elaborates on the point in the book it's from: On Writing. He uses the example of "telepathically" implanting the image in your mind of a rabbit in a cage with the numeral 8 painted on its back (as I have just done now). The writers of the show Lost playfully included such a rabbit as an easter egg and homage in one episode.
Warframe’s lore is constant tragedy, but the story part we get to play is usually the moment we overcome the hardship. Thats probably how DE gets away with telling such sad stories for so long
Some people like Parvos?! i shouldn't be baffled by this but i'm, it's not really any different than our reality, i can't understand what people see in some rich people that they'll defend any thing they did or said. I try to avoid history section in bookshops, i know that i i'm not going to leave without buying few of them, i already have too many books 🙂
I trust that they will be utilized when the time is right. With all our currently open story threads post New War, i think we'reoving towards our Avengers End Game arc
No one's denying that. But if you're looking for clean hands in history before engaging an idea, you'll find nothing. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.

they turned the fact nobody touched the leverian into a quest
@@Inkastar-tz8yd to be fair there's not much leverian content to begin with, DE just forgets about it
How many Leverians are there, about 1/5 of the warframe roster? I think ita less forgetting and more about resources.
@SocraTetris it's still lore accurate druvis didn't have enough money to keep paying for it and DE doesn't have the allocation to make more
@@Inkastar-tz8ydthat’s cause tennos are cheapskates and if they can’t scam for plat they ain’t give u nothing for free 😂
This is entirely because DE refuse to make Garuda Leverian where she overdoses on Vallis shrooms and dies
That ending with the 5M credits donation was awesome! SocraTetris trully loves warframe lore :D
Glad you liked it! When i saw the end screen card pop up over that section i smacked myself in the forehead. But good to know someone could see it!

But as a lore master do you use the drusis cosmetics in your operator or no lmao cause I do
The transmuter hood? I use it sometimes, yeah
His voice actor did a phenomenal job. He humanized Drusis, I just felt bad for him and wanted to hug him so much.
Your videos changed the way I engage with the story of warframe and gave me a new appreciation for the game
Thank you, annalevi! That's what i want to hear
Same!!
Can't wait for 1999 and DE to release more info about wall E. Keep it up bro
