When you need to make 'fine' cuts with a jig saw, use a 'hacksaw' blade. It cuts much slower, but much smoother and allows you to control the cut much better. Cutting a straight line with a jig saw works better when you use a guide board, just like when you use a router...
I like the radius, but if you are putting in the breakfast bar, I think it is going to be in the way. I personally would just run the bar up to a vertical face.
Thanks very much for your good comments Patrick, much appreciated and re. your question, you are not the only one to ask this, after the first insulation spray I had spraypaint marked areas and spots that were too thin in covering in order to apply a further layer later 🙂👍
Wow! Great progress. I was tempted to stop viewing and wait until you were on the water to then go back and binge watch the series. But the quality of your content has improved so much that I must watch as soon as the new uploads are available. Congratulations on the progress.
Thank you VERY MUCH larrimo s, I really appreciate your comments and also that you will hang in there with Mistress' progressive journey, thank you! 😀👍⛵
Thank you very much Paul and Yes I too am very thankful that I have been able to stop my work situation and really knuckle down to realizing my lifelong dreams and plans!
Thanks very much Robin and yes I agree and am definitely encapsulating every aspect of all of the plywood and timber (you will see this in the next video)!

Love it...not only the technical issues you resolved so elegantly but also the huge improvement in video recording, sound quality and last but not least the almost perfect editing...Your drive for perfection trademark is always there...
Thank you VERY MUCH US.Antigoon, I really do appreciate your great and encouraging comments. I am still learning and still make a lot of silly mistakes BUT I am trying to improve things for everybody viewing! 😀👌📽⛵
Great progress Bruce. She's looking great! Tiny detail on the audio in the video, your dialogue only come through on one channel when listening with headphones. Still a thumbs up from Scotland 👍🏻
Thanks very much Mark, much appreciated! Re. the audio - yes you are correct and thank you for mentioning this! I do not know why this happened?! It was not with all of the talking audio but definitely another glitch to sort out,...! 😀👌🛠
Awesome videos & build - just found your channel and catching up. Do you work from plans for the interior? A little annoying the bulkhead landing on the portlight.
Hi, thanks for your good comments and I am glad that you found Mistress' journey Philip! Re. the interior plans, although I used some of the VdS layout idea's the majority of the actual construction detail is all mine. Understood re. your comment about the bulkhead intersecting the St'bd portlight, but it is the best option for me all things considered. Thanks again! 🙂
Hi Ivan, thanks for raising this however sorry I think that the problem is likely just your side. Nobody else has mentioned this and I have just checked the video again online and the audio including voice-overs are all there. Hopefully if you try again it will all be restored.
Thanks for your comment Michael and to explain how this situation happened - the original plans had completely different port hole designs that were long, thin and tapered which I didn't like, so the port hole design and positions are my doing. The bulkhead at that position mentioned is in the original position per plans, which coincides with the framing and hull floor position. The "compromise" that I was faced with was to change/shift the port hole position at that port hole so that the bulkhead did not bisect it, or leave it where it was and keep the port hole positions symmetrical but be left with that bulkhead bisecting it. I hope that this explains the situation.
Thanks very much for your comments Renegade Show and yes it is a good size! No there won't be a separate shower but I will likely have a shower curtain between.
@@BuildingSYMistress I have been living aboard for about 3 years now, been on boats since I was 6, if there is one thing that can cause a ton of issues on your boat it is that shower. If I had the room on my boat to do it id knock out the wall in the head and put in a separate shower because if you shower on board it just puts a whole lot of moisture into the head, and it can stay wet all day. Sadly I do not have the room on this boat so when I remodel the head it will have to be a wet room.
There is a Irish lad ..""sailing yacht zora ."" ..who is exactly. And at the same stage refitting a steel hull yacht ..slightly smaller than yours ..its a pity you are not in the same place ...( 11.000 miles apart ) ... you could compare each others work ...
Hi Bruce, just sent another A$50.00
via PayPal, as you squandered the last lot on beer, this is for the boat. Keep
up the good work. Tony
Thank you SO MUCH Tony! Your kind deeds will definitely be well put directly to Mistress this time! VERY much appreciated sir! 😀👨🔧👍⛵
Interior space is being defined really well now. The bulkheads really close down the inside of the cabin. Nice job.
Thanks very much sir!

Thanks for your comments and ideas Mike. Actually I have always found that using a guide fence with jigsaws does not work, the blades wander!
It is beginning to feel like a boat at last. Attaboy! And your video is getting so sharp!
Hey thanks very much again Nick and the new editing program is FANTASTIC!! 😀👍
I like the radius, but if you are putting in the breakfast bar, I think it is going to be in the way. I personally would just run the bar up to a vertical face.
Thanks for your comments sir.
Please put a radius on that galley bulkhead corner mid ship. That hard 90 looks weird.
All will be revealed ahead Gary,... 🙂👍
nice job man , progress
Thanks boat bro! 🙂👍
She's looking so good... your attention to detail is 👍
But I give up... what's the big black cross covered with horizontal lines of insulation?!?
Thanks very much for your good comments Patrick, much appreciated and re. your question, you are not the only one to ask this, after the first insulation spray I had spraypaint marked areas and spots that were too thin in covering in order to apply a further layer later 🙂👍

nice, back to building
Thanks Bruno! 🙂
much respect, taking on this build.Good you did not wait till you are old and sick to do this

Looking good. Make sure you epoxy encapsulate those ply edges in the portlights well. Condensation loves any unsealed edges. : )
Thanks very much Robin and yes I agree and am definitely encapsulating every aspect of all of the plywood and timber (you will see this in the next video)!
Lots of progress. Keep up the good work!

Beautiful work. Camera is better for sure. Mistress of Freedom work really getting on now. 👍⛵️

You might try making patterns out of Masonight bored or very cheap plywood use hot glue gun and staple.
Thanks for your comments Andy and yes I have been doing a range of things to tackle the templates.
Nice work. Progressing nicely. 👍

Music 3:37-4:18 and 4:57-5:30 was perfect! Your editing skills are somewhat cool, Bruce!
Hey thanks very much Nick and I am pleased that you enjoyed the music too!
Another nice video Bruce. The boat is really coming along. Where abouts in Aus are you mate?

It's starting to look like a home instead of a warehouse. You can actually see your vision now.
Than you very much Lisa and Yes things are definitely looking different and better!

Your voiceover is missing throughout the video, I’m not sure if other people are having the same issue.

U da Man :)
Thank you VERY MUCH Cliff! 😀👌
Nice woodwork. I just hate that the portlight is divided.
Thanks Nick and I can say that it will all work out, you'll see,.. 🙂
Putting a bulkhead in the middle of a window seems like a design mistake for me. Was it in your plan? Or didn't you realize this problem before?

I am enjoying the build process. But the choice of music is really annoying..
Thanks Juliamarie 🙂
The head is going to be a nice size, you will be able to comfortably take a shower in there, I like that feature. Will it have a separate shower?

Thanks Frank, actually she is quite beamy for her length at 3.9m / 13ft
