    Great video. Love your setup. Well thought out and man it puts out the shot for sure. When It stopped up the first thing i said was why wouldn't he just hit it with the torch...LOL Dramatic pause just to keep us in suspense. Thanks for sharing and great content....keep it coming.

      Yes sometimes it takes that front part a little extra time to get hot enough to release the lead and I was getting a little too much build up of lead which would make the head pressure too high so I had to get it going

    Do you have to use aluminum for your lead pot or can you use any metal? Thanks

    • @droberts6579
      @droberts6579  Рік тому

      Aluminum is used because of it's superior heat transfer but I'm sure 1/8 thick steel would work to some degree. Give it a try and report back.

    What water soluble oil do you use

      It's called type B, it's the same thing that machinists use to cool their cutting tools

    How do you control the burner temp?

    • @droberts6579
      @droberts6579  Рік тому

      You don't have to control it, I run it wide open. It don't over heat because the ingots you add ever 30 seconds keeps it at the correct temp.

    Have you tried #4 shot?

    • @droberts6579
      @droberts6579  Рік тому

      No, l sell a lot of shot to trap shooters and most people want # 6

      Hey Justin, I'm in Monticello KY . Just any lead won't do. Soft lead won't work unless you add the correct amount of antimony and tin. I use old style wheel weights before they started making them out of zink .
