Thank you for your great tutorials! I'm a 75-year-old learning FreeCAD after using SketchUp since its' beginning and I have found you are by far the best presenter I have watched because you explain things thoroughly and in a manner that teaches even me.
another great video thanks! I discovered I couldn't use mirror for something I was doing and Multi-transform would have been just what I needed! thanks!
Good demo video, thanks for that. For me there was a bit too much unnecessary stuff around it. For example, the auxiliary geometry, which could also cause confusion for one or the other beginner. Using the pocket as a cutting tool is a fine addition. The multiple transformation is the solution for not fully symmetrical solids.
@@MangoJellySolutions If you ever have some extra time I would appreciate a walkthrough of the Path Workbench. I want to move all my gcode generation for CNC milling to FreeCAD for an easy design to prototyping process. The documentation on the FreeCAD Wiki for most of the operations in the Path Workbench is lacking so if you ever get the chance I would appreciate it.
Thanks a lot for the tutorial! It is super un-intuitive that you have to select all the features to be mirrored, not just last one. The problems I had in the past can be explained by this.
This is off topic but I can't find any place to ask questions. I am trying to model a plastic corner that will fit on the aluminum pannier on my motorcycle. It is essentially a 6 sided cup that fits over the corner. There are three long sides and three short sides, so it is really an equilateral triangle with the apexes cut off. The long "sides" are at a different angle than the short ones. I can model the basic triangular shape with the three corners taken off and pad it. I then set up a datum plane on a short side and set it to the angle the sketch that side is supposed to sit at and make the sketch of that side on the plane. The problem is it won't pad. It also won't tell me why except to say, "15:39:09 Recompute failed! Please check report view." What am I doing wrong, or, what am I not doing right?
OK, I figured it out. The plane needs to be slightly inside the figure you are trying to attach the new sketch to. I had it attached to a face but only to the surface. The software was treating it as two unattached parts.
Nonsense ! why it didn't work at minute 2:55 arc end point and rim point !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how to solve this problem i stuck there and can't do anything this Stupid Red Report view ! have you any change in SETTINGS ?
which freecad version you use ! i use 0.21.2 is a mess !! i followed you step by step! it did not work ! that down Red scary Crazy Stupid "Report View .! i am angry as a lion ! 😂😂

Thank you so much for the kind words and the feedback. Much appreciated.
Your tutorials make it look so easy. I have learned a lot watching your videos. Thanks for helping the rest of us to learn Freecad.
Thank you for the kind comments it's been and still is a joy to create this learning experience for such a supportive community.

Thanks for great tutorial. I am in USA and just a beginner with any cad. I want to learn this skill.
Thanks glad you enjoy, just keep at it, you will get there :)

Excellent video as per usual!
Thanks again!

Hi, theres a way to import some macros inside another macro ?
I have been trying to find out this one myself but have yet to come across a solution unfortunately.
Just one question: are you an A.I. ? 😉👍 Thanks!
