i have both of these boxes and love how they work together. I am finding that the smartgain is nice to get into the approximate correct area for each mic, but i often find myself bumping up the gain on many of the mics to get a more robust sound into my DAW. I am using the EVO 16 in my master control (monitoring and mixing) room, with the SP8 in the bigger room where most musicians play. The fiberoptic connection between the two boxes is ultra quick and I am able to tweak the effects in my DAW and send them back into the studio for my musicians to hear with almost no latency. AWESOME!
Yes! You can get the Evo-driver for your Windows or Mac, but you actually don't need it. I've tried it with 2 diffent Macbooks and it works automatically both with and without the driver :)

Nice!
Yeah I sometimes find myself doing the same with bumping up the gain a bit more for some channels, but other than that - it works great! :D
🔥 I know what I want for Xmas! 🔥
They're pretty cool!
Very!! :D
That's actually really cool!
How do you make it work with your recording software? Does it automatically work with the interface?
Yes!

AWESOME!!!
Yeah!! :D
neat!!
I read some reviews of this rig. Does it not hold settings when powered down?
You can save the settings in the EVO Mixer in your computer 😊
how is this not a standard for all modern interfaces??
I know right!!
The drums sound far away
