I know he's a rookie quarterback but he's going to get better and better that 50-yard pass was just wow 😳 it takes him about 2 to 5 seconds for him to get the ball out of his and that offensive line held up
Damn near flawless performance. Didn’t try to do to overdo it or make it a mythical Brock Osweiler kinda situation, he just did exactly what he was asked to and needed to, and did it to perfection. Can’t tell you the last time I was this proud of my boys.
His reads, accuracy, quickness, and confidence have all improved tremendously. Pretty good power too. He will get better and better and he's got 8 more starts this season.
He looked this way in preseason too. I think the issue with his 1st start vs LAC was that he didn't get the starter's reps the week before the game, and McD refused to give Eluemunor any help against Mack. 6 sacks. Just bad coaching. So glad McD is gonnnnnneeeee.
He reminds me of Jared Goff, same short comings (mobility, downfield arm strength) but same positives (short to mind game anticipation, zip, and accuracy). He needs experience to show if he can progress but I like what I see so far in both this and the chargers game. His arm and throwing motion is plenty big/fast enough and he really carries himself like a vet
Most importantly he had zero turnovers. this kid is going to be special when he settles down. He throws some heat but when mixes up the heat with touch he’s gonna have that offense rollin. Most of his incompletions hit the wr’s in the hands. Can’t wait to see his progression.
So many dropped passes , man if we tie up these loose ends I think we will be one hell of a team. We need O’Connell. His arm and the deep threat. It would break jacobs loose, just like what happen when we had Carr. Teams had to watch for the deep passes because Carr wasn’t afraid to let it loose
Not saying he is Tom Brady, but his build, his release, his play action handleand the way he pats the ball and has a high release and quick decision throws. A lot of similarities.
the 50 yard bomb. this replay didnt show it but when he checked into the gun and got the first down with adams. only forced a few plays. loved everything about his game (post mcdumbass)
Not trying to compare or anything but with O'Connell there's a certain passing style at a certain angle that reminds me a throwing style of the late great Baltimore colts quarterback name Johnny Unitas not saying that he's Unitas but a certain angle if you pay close attention.
he looks like Brady in the pocket to be honest, and I agree with the Unitas comparison. He holds the ball high and tight in his chest, and I don't know if that makes it harder for defenders to see where he is throwing it, but his delivery is very accurate, fast as its coming through his chest and arm. Stands tall and poised in the pocket, great micro adjustments on almost every drop back. he really turns his chest through the delivery of the ball and just seems to have great placement of the ball with its with him. Like all of these play actions he created so much space from the PA fake because he holds the ball so well. Some of these throws were bad decisions, but you have to say they were all on the money. Great accuracy. Can we talk about some of these routes by Renfrow???? The fake high step at 0:53 seconds. WTF!?!?!?
@airt698 at least he's not afraid to rip it. He needs to do a better job of not exposing his receivers to those huge hits though. There were at least 5 or 6 drops from the Raiders. Aidan would've gone for closer to 300 if those catches were made
All he has to do is not turn the ball over against the Jets, & he should be fine. Might get sacked a few times against a great defense. I expect our TEs to be more involved in the pass game this week. But we should get the W! 🏴☠️☠️🏴☠️
Tom Brady esque fast release. Stands tall in the pocket, goes through reads fast, big arm talent, accurate. Raiders just need to stick with him and develop
He comes from the land of Drew Brees and other pros. Lots of lower named draft picks that make up what is widely known as the cradle of quarterbacks from Purdue.
He's above average for a rookies, but I don't think he will become the franchise QB next year. Raiders should still draft a QB in 2024, maybe trade up to get one.
LOOK RAIDERS A POCKET QB HAS WON 7 SUPER BOWLS O'CONNELL CAN WIN A SUPER BOWL TO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That deep ball was sick. 50+ yards in the air. Offense has lacked that threat severely.
Even that last play was goated throwin the ball in the dirt instead of takin a sack
I know he's a rookie quarterback but he's going to get better and better that 50-yard pass was just wow 😳 it takes him about 2 to 5 seconds for him to get the ball out of his and that offensive line held up
Very solid performance He audibled like a boss and got rid of the ball quickly .
I hope he develops into our franchise QB.

I love his composure in the pocket.. just a little more adjustment on the throws and some more reps will for sure thrust him into greatness

The play calling is night and day.

☠️Let's go Raiders, great teamwork.☠️ Keep up the excellent work☠️ RAAAIIIIDDDEEERRRSSS. ☠️JUST WIN BABY ☠️
Great to see the kid step in Newark throw confidently go out it haven’t seen that from a raider QB in a while
Not saying he is Tom Brady, but his build, his release, his play action handleand the way he pats the ball and has a high release and quick decision throws. A lot of similarities.
I’ve been saying this since preseason. He looks a lot like Brady
I thought that too. He's an expert chef, he slices and dices.
He just need more reps The more comfortable he get the Better even on the Drops he put the ball on perfect spots at least giving the WR a chance
A few high passes. But not a bad second game.
the 50 yard bomb. this replay didnt show it but when he checked into the gun and got the first down with adams. only forced a few plays. loved everything about his game (post mcdumbass)
I saw some pundit say O'Connell doesn't have a big arm?? Seems like he has a cannon to me.
Great video. I like the suttle music in the background with the game audio.
This team is starting to click. Like a set of gears. 👏👏👏 Maybe mesh is a better word. A synchro mesh. 😆

really reminds me of Brady with his release and yes the way he keeps theball close to his chest.
Josh McDaniels was a plant he there to destroy the Raiders
I feel the same way
He had a rough 2nd half but I think with more reps he will be real good.
They purposely went conservative in the 2nd half. They were up 24-0 going into it.
@@ebannaw that’s a good point but I don’t think he missed all those targets on purpose, he needs more reps with the personnel I think

@@airt698some drops from his WRs in there on some nicely placed balls though
@@airt698he only missed 3 throws lol
it was a very impressive, i control game by AOC.
O-line showed out I hope they continue to play like that. It will definitely help Farva's development!
BIG O
Moderately convinced to make a trade for Davante Adams in fantasy football
I hope the Raiders nurture this kid. Give him a decent leash like this and watch him develop. He's got the potential.
The two best QBs in the AFC right now are AOC and CJ Stroud. It's a new era in the NFL. Its exciting!!
I agree with Stroud becoming a top QB in AFC. AOC has a bit to prove still. I'd put Burrow, Mahomes, Tua, Lamar, Trevor all above Stroud as well.
When the veterans help him he will be fine.GO RAIDERS!

Bros can you believe Mcdummy wanted to get rid of Rentfrow. 🤦🏽
He comes from the land of Drew Brees and other pros. Lots of lower named draft picks that make up what is widely known as the cradle of quarterbacks from Purdue.
Dang Adams got popped a few times
Just needs more reps with Adams then they'll have better chemistry
everybody got the ball
Gon get a real test next week
He needs his dew reps with the 1's..... it's clear!!
RAIDERS
BOILER UP!!!!!!!!!
He's above average for a rookies, but I don't think he will become the franchise QB next year. Raiders should still draft a QB in 2024, maybe trade up to get one.
He should have chose a different number on his jersey
He changed to 12
90% of throws were first read....maybe turned his head 4 times
Drew Bledsoe 2:0
He does not have an arm for the deep throw. All dink and dunk passes. And not at all accurate. Maybe he’ll improve in year 2.

They beat the Giants means nothing next week faiders will back to the embarrassment they are .
Sort of true. The Giants defense is actually pretty good
Lmao u a hater dog
Regardless of what happens next week you'll still be a bud light drinking cupcake
Why nobody said that when they played the Dolphins & gave up 31 or when they held The Bills to 14 ??
Next game Aidan going off!
