Hey I didn't get around to making vid the install is enough work but it's simple I've found, my whole wiring is done. Amp, fosgate r550 gets here Friday it'll plug in and work. The key is that amp takes speaker inputs, so extend the four sub input wires over to the 550. Splice into them, green is positive grey is neg. These are the required four wire inputs to the 550! Easy. No rca connections. Run power, ground at any bolt handy. Run turn on lead via toggle; off is standard stock system including its 8"sub. On = loud my two extra subs are fosgate tens x2 off Amazon

Hey man .... I just need to access wire loom behind my 2012 jku I removed the torxs and 10mm Box is stuck on that 10 post and won't budge It can wiggle but won't lift up like yours... Any thoughts ?
Not sure what's going on. Mine was a 2011 so there might be another screw or clip holding down on the 2012. Look for another screw or clip around they area that it is stuck.

I just looked at some pictures of a 2012 and it looks to be the same as the 2011. I don't think the storage area box holds it down. Did you pull the sub box forward before pulling it up? The back tail gate has a hinge that won't let it go up. That's all I can think of. I don't have the Jeep anymore so I can't go look at it.
@BravoFix I was irritated 😤 with it last night and your video was the only clear video of 30 plus I watched ... I removed the torxs. And 10mm nut .. so pull forward to the middle then up? I will look when I'm off work today. I am installing a backup camera and the wire tap that I'm told is behind that. Also routing tables for a new sub box I'm getting that moves it to behind the seat I may cut the 10mm tab to a slit and it should come out no clue why it's stuck every video shows it as simple undo pull out .

You have to buy the one for the JKU. I think that it is the same for several years but the 2 door trim and the 4 door trim are probably different. Just look for the 4 door one for that year.
Are you saying that you want to install this factory subwoofer box? I don't know what year your Jeep is but I doubt that those boxes will fit without extensive modification on the newer Jeeps. A Jeep dealer can tell you if it will fit and you can buy it from them but it's probably more expensive. I sold the one I took off on Craigslist, so you might want to check there or do a search for it online.
It should come out. It is not glued on. Just pry it out delicately with a small screw driver and it should come out. It has a metal frame so you can't really damage it, just be careful. If you are taking out the sub enclosure then push it out from the inside.

Hey I found it and am about to do extra amp for two tens. The speaker accepts inputs for two speakers in one connection, Dvc. Those are tapped not cut and run into the powered converter to rca. Run power wires through firewall grommet to back area done!
Hey I will film the speaker tap and final test but it'll be a few weeks am ordering amp and converter next payday. Any standard sub amp will do, if you specifically buy class d they draw about 1/3 less amps than normal audio amplifiers so pick any decent class d. By tapping in vs cutting rear bass lines, all speakers will eventually play at once I'll update. Thanks for the tip actually I'll try to make a video about the entire amp install edited in a quick easy way.
I did this 3 years ago so I don't remember exactly how I did it. But I looked at my video and it looks like it just snaps in. To take it out you probably have to use a very small screwdriver and open the hole a bit so that you can unclip it from the hole. Try not to cut or break those tabs that hold it in place this way you can use it when you remount it. I hope this helps.
@@juliodavid49 thanks for sharing. I clipped the two notches (whatever that's called) from behind and pushed the whole unit out. Will glue this into the new panel now that I lost the mechanically ability from this clipping.

I would say they are different but I don't know for sure. When you order it make sure you order for the 2 door which is what I have and you have. At first I kept the original trim around the roll bar and it almost fits but not perfectly so I wound up ordering the one that matches and it fits much better. Good luck.

has anyone found a way to CLEANLY move the sub into the storage well into the back like on the newer models? I want to move my 2007 sub to the well so that I can put a slide out tray in the back and keep my factory sub.
My jeep is a 2011 colors for the speakers are as follows: Front speakers driver side is yellow/grey-pos purple/grey- neg. Passenger front is purple/green- neg yellow/green-pos. Rear drivers side green-pos, white/black-neg. Rear passenger green-pos, blue-neg. This has been all trial and error. Check your speakers to see which is pos and neg. Hope this helps I'm not sure if it is the same for a 2007. Good luck.
No. Sold it pretty fast on Craigslist. Not sure why someone would want it but they did. I prefer the sub on the back of the back seat like I installed it. Takes up less space.
Go to moparonlineparts.com and look for the subwoofer delete trim. You also have to buy the small piece on top the wraps around the roll cage bar. The one there now does not fit exactly with the new trim. Watch my other video where I installed it. Good luck. thanks for asking

Yes. And in the video you can see where I repositioned it. Just cut the wires, make a hole in the new position put it in and soldered the wires. Be sure you have enough room were you position it length wise. thanks for asking.
It's very easy, you just have to pry it out with a small screwdriver. It is not clipped on or glued it's just a tight fit so you just pry it out gently. Hope this helps.
no need to cut those wires off the sub. Just cut out that rubber piece that sits in that hole. that's all I did before I got line x done on my interior as I had to reinstall the woofer
But I wanted to keep the factory sub connection on the sub. This way the person that buys it only has to solder the the new wires to the harness and thats it. I didn't need that harness because I was adding longer wires and a Pioneer speaker. Thanks for the comment.

On mine at the bottom there is a hole, you take a flat head screwdriver and pry it and it will just be stuck a little and pop out.

What size drill did you use for the lighter?
It's not a lighter I think you mean the power supply. I believe it was a 1 inch hole. Just measure the hole that it is in now to make sure. Good luck.

Right after you remove the stock speaker cover, you don’t show how to unclip the actual sub woofer! Important!

Same thing for me... I did not want to force it out as I am not ready to replace it yet but want to add poly-fil to the enclosure in the meantime.
