I think you’re completely right about how player of the month is. I think the fact that you have to do 10 PXP missions to get the lightning card plus the collection along with a ton of moments makes the grind not fun, and also the fact that you don’t get every single card before the lightning card
I agree that monthly awards isn't as fun or enjoyable to grind this year. Last year was good

My problem with the POTM programs is that i don’t do the moments as they drop weekly. So whenever the card gets revealed I have such a grind I get too lazy to do it lol
I do it right then but it's so annoying plus all the parallel xp you need and the fact that they wait over a week to release each weeks moments is also annoying.

I agree 10000%, as a casual player i can’t spend forever grinding for these cards so by the time i can get mookie a better version is already out
POTM has been worse this year in format. We thought the 1st month was bad so they lowered what you needed but haven't changed the legend/flashback lighting to being earlier which everyone has complained about because by the time we unlock those cards there are better options and people rarely use them

I wouldn’t be opposed to the changes they made to POTM, if there was an alternate way to earn the parallel XP. Like double my XP again if I’m using 2 of the lightning players, triple it if I have 3, and so on. This would make it a more rewarding grind as it becomes easier as you progress through the program.

Personally I think this years game is a step back and the potm program is a perfect example the grind is so exhausting. Enjoyed last year way more. Maybe just me though
I agree with u about the potm program. it would be nice to have other ways to achieve the cards without having to do all the PXP. or... wild thought.. lower the amount of PXP needed.
Agreed. Needs to go back to last years mission based stats for programs. Pxp is a pain in the ass
I agree about POTM feeling more like a slog this year. I haven't even wanted to do it unless it's for a card I just absolutely have to have.
Mookie is nearly identical to the Soriano Lighting for next month which makes the choice of him over Bregman or Galen even more interesting

The grind for the POTM cards is ridiculously tiring. The grind to get riley was brutal...having to get so much PXP with bums like Irvin, realmuto and Co was absolutely torturous.
Hot take: POTM this year is better than last year. I like the way they release the moments week by week, it feels like you’re doing less moments, ik in reality you’re doing the same if note more work compared to last year once u throw in all the missions n stuff too. I just find this year’s POTM Programs much more playable than last year’s, I’ve gotten every lightning card so far this year, last year I didn’t really touch the monthly programs, pretty sure the only lightning cards I had last year were 95 Buxton and 99 Tyler O’Neil.

Two big complaints about Monthly program this year…
1. Card choices - this month is a prime example. Did Noot deserve a card that is basically only usable against RHP or did Nate Lowe deserve one more for what was a way better month overall? And stop with the artificial inflating of the overall by increasing Clutch and Discipline.
2. Retro Lightning - they have to figure out a way to get this out way sooner. My idea would be to add a Conquest map in Week 2 of the month that has the card as the reward for completion (like the Duke Snider map). Get these cards to us sooner.

I personally hate the parallel missions. I get that grinding is rightfully necessary and it’s one thing to do moments, showdowns etc but when I’m actually playing games, I want to be using the players I want to use on my squad. Not players just for the sake of parallel xp.
Can u do a POTM team? I think u won’t have enough for the bullpen so when all the POTM relievers r there u can fill the rest with topps now

I don’t like the grind for the potm cards but I can’t remember what they were like last year. So I don’t know what to base them off of. What were they like the previous games?
The only thing I hate about the lightning POTM is that the retro player should be able to unlock as soon as the program drop... I mean, the only one that are usable are Thome and Soriano (maybe even Sale) and we're September... Nobody used Dawson and Rice.
Last year potm award cards I feel they gave us way more almost maxed power hitters than this year
I totally agree with you. I hate doing the grind for the lightning cards
as a mainly offline player i enjoy the POTM grind. the only thing i would change is i would more the retro lightning more towards the middle of the program so they can be used alot sooner.

It’s a huge grind to get the POTM cards….the LEAST they could do is give us 30-50k for redeeming the lightning card in the current program. 15k is a joke considering you get 30k for doing easy conquest or showdown
I totally agree abt POTM programs. Last I got every card, this year all I got was Yordan. Last year was perfect, this year like u said took a step back and was too grindy

The monthly awards aren’t as fun as they used to be and they also combined topps now with it. Getting parallel xp is so boring and so annoying. They need to add another way to advance in the monthly awards than just missions.
Def agree about POTM this year. Why do they make you wait to get any parallel until the lightening card comes out. It’s stupid. Can’t get any topps now progress done until lightening card comes out. Hate it and it’s boring.

I fell like judge should get next months lightning card but it will depend on how he does in september or at least give him one of the 98 or 99s in the september monthly rewards because i fell like if we dont everyone will mad but it does depend on how he does this month and this is just my opinion and you can disagree i understand if you get mad

The monthly award cards themselves are better this year but the stages and the grind is ridiculously long and tedious

Guys I think the grind isn't supposed to be enjoyable when you try to finish it in 3 hours. Its made to be completed over a span of weeks haha
The whole damn game took some steps back this year. SDS forgot how to move forward, so they decided to go backwards and it shows with their backwards ass hitting. Good=bad Bad=good

They did lower the pxp you need for hitters and pitchers for this one but they change it seem like every month and on top of that I think that’s the worst part grinding for the Xp luckily it seems they always drop this with double Xp so that’s kinda better but it’s hellaaaa annoying trying to grind every month for the card and actually finish the program like I feel like the third stage is unneeded like once I get the actual cards end the program right there that’s it don’t make me grind more to get the program done like I’ll use the card and get Xp with them I grinded hella hard for him
I've been using the strike zone view and it's been helping me alot!along! I've also been using the 3by3 circles and I've been getting nonstop perfect-perfects! I saw u using it and decided to try it! It's amazing!
Tbh I liked last program with Riley because I felt like the cards in the 96 overall were less interesting but still Mookie is a W I don’t think we would of got Bergman since we are getting Jim thome a 3B and last month was a 3B

I agree POTM has been a downgrade. Not getting access to the lighting throwback card after its announced is annoying. By the time you get to use that card, it’s unplayable

In my opinion the player of the month this year was not handled well. We shouldn’t have to wait to get the card once it’s announced. Also the parallel xp is easily the most annoying part of the monthly programs.

If your doing the pareel missions do them on vs cpu rookie and just do the moments for u can get the stuff on that and get the things for the collection bc I also have mookie also
speaking of potm grind, I wish they did a showdown and conquest to kinda eat some of the pxp grind. shit is so boring. and also wish they'd replace the required 5 card monthly award collection to complete the program. alot of these monthly awards cards I have no interest in and would like to sell instead of locking em for a collection.
