- Today we are going to show you how we cooked a cajun style shrimp boil in 30 minutes. You can change this up anyway you would like. Add more spice if you want or add more shrimp. This was our first time doing this and it turned out perfect. We wanted it less spicy for our kids and they loved it.
Cajun Shrimp Boil
3 gallons of water
5lbs shrimp
4lbs sausage
3 onions
1 back of mushrooms
1 can of Old Bay
9 whole corn
#keepingitdutch #cajun #shrimp
Gotta get you some crawfish. Do a crawfish boil. Here in Pennsylvania, they aren't readly available.
I'm going to try this! Thanks Dutch!
That looked delicious...those prawns wer big
1 Sausage & 1 pack of the jumbo hotdogs {for the kids}
1 (35 to 40 pound) sack live crawfish
2 (1 pound) boxes Sacks crawfish boil seasoning
15 ears Corn, fresh on the cob
6 heads Garlic & 2-3 large whole onions
A few pounds of big shrimp for those who don't like crawfish
16 oz White Mushrooms
This is a good start and you can adjust to your liking
Nice start to a good eat! But it should be 2-3 sausages (Preferably Andouille Cajun sausages) and 2-3 packs of hot dogs. (Kids eat. A lot! And many won't eat the mudbugs.)
Good morning from Syracuse NY everyone thank you for sharing your adventures and your farm plus my favorite food
Cool video.it looked great Dutch. Thanks for sharing and God bless your family and friends.....🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀

YumO, I like how everyone had a hand in it 🙌.
JO JO IN VT 😆💕
We used to cook this when going to Panama city. We put half water and half Coors beer with old bay. It is delicious. The alcohol boils out and gives a sweet smoky flavour.
Hi Dutch your shrimp boil looked delicious. 👍👍🇨🇦
Hi Dutch. Great video and memories Great to have friends and enjoy God bless and love yall ❤ 💓
OMG that looks so good, we have family night once a week and mom used to make that every 3 or4 months but we call it low country boil, but Mom is no longer with us so I have not had low country boil for about 5 years or more I miss it.
Then what are y'all waitin on?????
Looking good and definitely delicious 🙏💕👍❤️🥰👍💕
OMagosh! I'm drooling now and it's 10:45pm when watching this. Oh my so hungry now.
You forgot the red potatoes in your recipe in description.😋
That is how I make mine. Making me hungry for it now.
Looks delish Dutch, I add venison sausage to mine, excellent meal!! Love ya'll ❤️
I just this seafood boil this weekend, Love it, Amazing.
I was going to say where's the crawfish but you mentioned it at the end. I enjoy boils also thanks for sharing
Love your videos and enjoy watching them every time they come on. May the Lord bless and protect you and your family and the animals and Patrick
We like to have a boiling basket.
We added corn on cob & potatoes & onion & garlic with the crab boil. Adjust to how many ppl u r feeding or # of crawfish (shrimp, crab, lobster *even). Put the crustacean of ur choice in basket, put in water, then dump basket... everyone peel & throw in bowls for later meal, but eat as u go! After all that is done is when I'd try other veg like green beans or mushrooms. Then turn off the pot & strain out taters & corn... last time I did this We had 300# of fresh crawdads. My kids played with the live ones & then 1 of my kids hid his favorite 1 to keep as a pet, lol. Made several meals for several visitors (was at my sister's place above Baton Rouge)
Sorry, I love watching this channel? Must have missed some? So want to see many more.
Great Video Sean, it really looked great.
Grew up in south Louisiana and we added butter after the placing the seafood in the containers and covered it for a few minutes to rest. Never used mushrooms, but would try it. Miss the family crawfish boils with a side of shrimp.
Hey dutch from a Louisiana man oh my that looking good my friend
Think I’ll try that recipe. Yum
That looked amazing 😀 now I'm hungry lol👍🤗❤
Food looked good. My aunt and uncle did those too for years. I think they added crab legs also. Always good eating!

That all looks so good 👍❤️
Man it looked so good I could taste it. Lol thanks for making me hungry 🙂
Looks good 👍.
Born and raised in South Louisiana. No way 5 lb of shrimp would have been enough shrimp to feel that many people in a Cajun Shrimp Bol. We like our seafood ALOT.. lol
Yummy 😋! Went to Texas a few years ago had craw fish, didn't like them, shrimp I would like, the veggies would light u up. As always God bless stay safe until the next video ❤️ 😍
Glad to see more dutch eats
This is something that I always thought looked like it would be really good and I've never got to try thanks for showing us how to really do it
Sounds delicious. Never had any of that before. But I know it was good. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.

Oh man! That looked so good! Makes me wish I knew where your property is at so I could have crashed that party! 🤣🤣🤣
I've had Cajun shrimp before I really like it I had some in Louisiana it was so hot it blow your top off. It did have good flavor. What a nice way to get friends and family together to share good food
Yummy that looks amazing
Wow looks fantastic.
That looked delicious. That pot and burner setup is really nice also
Yum
Great Video Guys I loved it 🥰 Thanks for sharing your time together with all of us
Paddle....my wife calls that a "Husband Tamer"...LOL
What a great video, looked super delicious.
Do you make HoBo dinner? Brats in beer....cook for an hour.....add potatoes, carrots, onions, green beans, corn and cabbage. Cover with chicken broth and cook until all is tender...serve with crusty buttered bread....YUM
Hey Dutch. That paddle looks as if it was used in Walking Tall. LOL
Lol! Yeah... I'm from Louisiana and I was saying exactly that... I couldn't even see any spices on the food 🤣
Also, you need some garlic butter dipping sauce on your tables 🤤
I don't drink alcohol. But when we went to La, years ago, l got to help and wanted to learn how they cook shrimp, and crabs. Well the last 20 minutes they added 2 cans of beer, cut down the fire to let it simmer, and with the spices that it was cooked in made it Great. They also used obay. The beer is to remove the oceans salt and tenderize it.
Cooking with beer kills the alcohol, keeps the taste
Grandma on my dads side always added a half bottle of red wine into the cooking pot, early on, so all the alcohol was boiled out. LOL, she usually drank the other half. You didn't bother Grandma when she was cooking. You might get hit with a hot spoon, or spatula. Damn, I miss her cooking!
@@russellwatters5891 I've heard that too but the smell and taste of beer makes me gag. Sorry to be so real. LOL Best wishes from northern Illinois.
@@carolinepetersen1452 No problem, it's not for everybody, brussel sprouts do the same for me..lol It was just a favorite way to cook brats too. Wisconsin born, Florida raised...lol
I'm hoping that the sausage was Andouille Cajun style spicy sausage, and you added some habanero pepper slices. And lots of shrimp. And some cayenne pepper. I do like things a bit spicy.
|t might be a better boil if you added some crawdads, as well. That's likely a Cajun thing, though, not many larger mudbugs in Oklahoma.
Start that thing early, and let things mix for a while. Should have quartered the taters, though. They pick up a lot more flavor that way, and are a bit easier to plate.
😋
Looks really yummy
It looked yummy 😋🤤
Look good 👍👍
Hello from auburndale FL
I add pound of scallops crab claws or crab legs. That looked so good😊
Looks yummy 😋
Like fun! I want to do this here , and I 'd like to see a clam bake.
Now this would make for a great Thanksgiving feast.
From what I can tell, I can safely enjoy your shrimp boil. I'm alergic to most Sea food. Cooked shrimp is fine but I can't go near it raw. Go figure. Not sure about crab and not sure I want to find out 🤣
That looked so good!!
Vince made some a few years ago. I looked up a recipe because we all know you don’t get exact measurements or ingredients from your brother, except when it comes to baking….🤣😂🤣….boy was it good….
You fit real well. It looked real good to me.
Looked absolutely delicious!
You did really well for a first timer! We also add Brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower or sometimes cabbage & jalapeños-no veggie goes to waste around here!
Always called it a low country boil. Under any name .. great eatin. Did y'all take the sticker off the paddle or did it steam off for flavoring? Lol good show!
Hi dutch I love your family
👍😎😎😎
That looked delicious and I just finished eating dinner! 😋
that looks so yummy. I never been to a seafood boil. 🥰😋
I have made a version of this many times!! It looks so good 😀
I want some
that looks delicious. I'm so happy you did this for the Tempcast guys.❤️❤️
Omgoodness now I’m hungry. I’ve never been to a Shrimp 🍤 boil but I love love Shrimp. I’ve never had Crawfish either. But it all looked so easy. Especially having all the right tools. Can you do this in your kitchen with a Big Pan ?
Love all your videos. I joined Uncle Rico’s page but I’m not getting any notifications for him ?
Lotsa Love and Many Blessings to y’all
Stuck in Ohio. Ugh
Nora🥀
Yes you can, be sure to turn on your exhaust fan. The fumes will make your eyes water. Enjoy
Yes you can cook it inside mom always cooked it on the kitchen stove.
Greatness
Onions should be in earlier. Also u need 15 or 20 pounds of shrimp. At 28 minutes add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes
Yum!
I have never been to a shrimp boil but it looked good, was it to hot for the temp cast guy? Keep doing great recipes. 🙏❤️👍❤️🙏
Looked good
That looked yummy! BUT, does it have to be spicy? And, was the sausage Chrizo?
I’ll have to scale it down, there is only one of me!
Prayers and Blessings always ♥️🙏♥️🌧
Next time, let Kevin add the three squirrels to the pot 😄
You should have invited Daniel and DJ from @Armsfamilyhomestead love them
I am not from Louisiana but you definitely could’ve used more space nonetheless it looks wonderful

Dutch, this looked so delicious! Unfortunately for me, I now am allergic to shellfish 🥴🤨.
I'm next time you make that some lone Star beer in there Lonestar makes everything better
Yummy❗️❗️❤️❤️❤️
Looked great even though I can't eat any kind of sea food due to shellfish allergies 🙃
