- In this video I finish off the custom Tamiya Top Force I've been working on.
The Top Force body, cockpit, undertray and wing, plus the Turbo Optima undertray were kindly sent to me by Owen at Revive RC. As you can see in the video, they're very nice products he's creating. Enjoy!

Custom one of a kind servo and de anodised electronics and custom wiring🤤I've never seen anyone do the de anodising before, might have a go one day.

I wanted this one to be unique, I think it worked with the de anodising and stuff. It's easy as mate, a bit of oven clear and a quick rinse, DONE!

How nice is this, what a job you did on this beast. Top force look great but this is another level. The wife just saw it and ordered an Evo ! That's why I've been trying very hard not to watch this ha,ha, she always liked the Egress then saw this . Top work mate and you made us get another one .

This is all very nice, now that Optima you were talking about. But in seriousness, very nice. It has a very platinum edition vibe going. And using only white and chrome decals was the right way to go. Plus the gold springs. Now I hope the Optima gets a splash of something metallic red and pearl white? Great work, thanks for sharing.

I love this car! All the little things and the attention to detail... my hat is off to you!!!! I really love the paint job, I like the way it looks a little bit different in the various light and angles and plain black would have been boring. I really like the pearl effect in it. I could never imagine taking it out and driving it. For ever and ever I swore off shelf queens and pretty cars but I am getting more and more understanding of why some cars just don't get driven and I couldn't take this one out! I am sure you will and I am sure it will be fun but that first scratch is gonna sting! Again buddy, this is phenomenal and thanks for putting all the time and effort into it and sharing it with us!
Thanks mate, glad you like it! I think plain black would have been boring too, it needed something. Haha, I have quite a few shelf queens. I'm sure you'll have some too before long. There are just some you can't drive, they'll never be the same again. I will drive this one though, but I think I may only cruise around with it. That said, one never knows when a giant rock or tree is gonna jump out in front on it 😂. Awesome! Think of doing an on road version. Casso on road has started a new fun class. Buggy racing on there on road track your build has inspired me as I have a couple of DF01 chassis lying around. Need to get the revive RC body might wait till he sorts out his under tray first. Thanks again, great video

That looks bloody lovely, never liked either top force but, this ticks the boxes for me 👍
I'd only change one thing and that's the clear spoiler, from the rear it looks messy and unfinished as you see blank decals spoiling the finished look.
Yeah, man, that was great! I can feel I'll be coming back and watching this a few times more! Really cool with the black and the bit of sparkle, lovely paint job and the stickers work really well! Stunning, I think is the word for it, Mick!
I finally got started on mine, it won't be one, but two Top Force builds, the first will be a cheapo version but hopefully still very cool, and then later on I'll man up and do the really cool one, of course I hope it'll be cool, ha ha...

Amazing build, Mick. I'm currently doing an assessment of my recently completed kit build of the '21 re-release TF, hoping to address a few minor deficiencies that are eating at me. You gave me a great tip on the servo horn/saver, which is simply dreck from the kit. Thanks again for the detailed walk-thru of your build. Can't wait for the Kyosho T.O. build!
Thanks mate! Hopefully you can iron out the issues with your TF. I'm not sure how this servo saver will go, being that it's really meant for use on a gear shift on a TRX or something. It feels OK but we'll see when I drive it I guess. 👍
Definitely worth the wait , it was weird how much the black paint looked liked the EVO grey before you pulled the film off. Are you going to run it ? I would think it would be pretty fast .

I actually pre-ordered one back in early August 2021. They were released, I got nothing.
Six and a half months later, still nothing. So I'd finally had enough of waiting and cancelled it. My Tamiya Porsche 45th Anniversary took over 5 months to arrive, also pre-ordered before release but the best one is my Kyosho Fantom. EIGHT months it took, and that was also a pre-order! Needless to say, I'm done with pre-ordering.
So I doubt there will ever be a Blockhead Wild One on my channel.

Awesome work.... I know you say Done.. I was thinking of a light dust of gold before black on the body.. also how about painting the edges of the carbon either silver or gold to match some of the brass parts... also Tamiya do make the steering balls in black. :)... they are never done. Also the Revive RC bodies do look a bit jelly mould like not as sharp as Tamiya..
Thanks! Haha, when I say it's done I mean it's DONE! 😂 If I was to use more gold I feel there would be too much gold and it wouldn't be a black/silver theme. I kept the brass parts on purpose because the of the gold motor connectors, I also removed the paint from the springs to show the gold underneath. I wanted the silver/black theme with a touch of gold. I think painting the edges of the carbon silver or gold would be a bit too much. I don't see anything wrong with the Revive RC body, it's not like the Top Force has a great deal of detail on the body to begin with. 👍

Thanks Kyle, glad you like it! Removing the anodizing is easy, real Easy in fact! 😂. I just spray the parts with Easy-Off Oven cleaner, let them sit for a couple of minutes, then give them a quick wash to remove any left over oven cleaner. Only takes a couple of minutes. 👍

@@garyhavenga9566 No probs! They were white. They're actually the wheels that come with the Top Force. But in case you're wondering, if you have some coloured wheels you want to dye black. Go for it, it should be fine going black from any colour. 👍
