- Russia and China have schooled the U.S. for telling Israel that the resolution demanding immediate ceasefire in Gaza, which was passed at the UN Security Council on Monday, is non binding. China said all the parties must implement the resolution and follow the charter of UNSC principles. Meanwhile, Russia said that the U.S. was misusing its position to give Israel a carte blanche in Gaza. Watch for more details.

UN should condemn Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which Russia and China stopped them from doing. Russia and China have made the UN obsolete, and they are about as useful as the League of nations was. It's all about countries now, and there is no point in even being a part of the UN. USA and NATO versus Russia and China. Everyone else is just a pawn. 😊
As per the US' colonial mentality, a UNSC Resolution can only be binding when the US votes for it. That's how deeply contemptuous the US criminal regime is.

The resolution can also be enforce with sanctions, stopping weapons sales and emitting arrest mandates.

Either they are binding or non-binding. If they are binding, there is nothing more to discuss. If they are non-binding, then the entire UNSC has just become entirely pointless and has lost any and all reason to exist in the first place. The UNSC has always been a bad idea from the start anyway.

It does raise the question of whether they messed up and had intended to veto. Although, the US could just be incompetent. Neither would be surprising.
